I must express this thought. Most news broadcast Analog Horror tends to go for the "Abrupt interruption because it's scarier if you don't know the monster". Wouldn't it be a treat to see a news broadcast that goes full opposite and tries to keep recording a horrible monster as it's a fantastic discovery? The consequence of that could be the longer they keep recording the worse whatever seeing it does to you? Just a thought, it might've been done before but I haven't seen it. Edit: How the hell did this blow up?
The only things that come to mind are the oasis garden and weather report on Eventide media centre, but those do seem different. It's a good concept though
@@nidhogg8446 I was gonna say the same thing, those vids do a really good job at making it seem the monster has been an issue for a while, and people know how to deal with it for the most part (the blurb about it in the training video and such)
I'd like to see how it works, but I doubt it would catch on much. A lot of the emphasis of horror is the unknown. If you can sit there and analyze the monster as long as you like, it can take away from that element as the unknown becomes known. If it's going to work well, the monster should have no solid appearance. Constantly shifting, changing. And rather than be attacking, it rather is trying to entice and lure its viewers towards it in a sort of mass hypnosis that leads people to simply accept whatever's coming. All that's left is a lingering sense of unease and the question of why. It should be somehow inexplicable as possible while having full view of it, you do not understand what it's doing or why, all you know is that it's bad. Really bad.
Did things like this actually exist? Shut-down TV channels would broadcast CCTV? Back in the days of analogue satellite I do remember a German channel that cycled through rooms on a Habbo Hotel type game. And another that broadcast "dashcams" of trains (not live, though)
You got my sub. This is one of the gems in the analog horror franchise of films already out among unrelated channels. And that face at the end, actually terrifying. Edit, two years later: Possibly the most likes I’ve ever got on a comment. Have to say, thanks.
Did you grow up in the 80's or 90's? My only criticism past using tropes was the fact that the "news" station seemed like it was referencing other analog horror "news" stations rather than real life 80's/90's news outlets.
It's infinitely scarier when you feel like something bad's about to happen but it never does than when it actually happens. It's a bit paradoxical but it's true
Ok so from the looks of this, and from researching the places designated, this video takes place in Pigeon Forge, TN. The city has a park named Patriot Park, there’s an unincorporated community nearby called Wears Valley, and there’s also a road called Circle Drive in the area. Pigeon Forge is one of the places listed in video 3, meaning the next video to be released from this channel will almost certainly take place in one of those places.
Guys if anyone is wondering, you can press 6, 7, 8, 9 on your keyboard to view the community watch clips in succession. Enabling you to "spot the difference" between clips. I don't think we should be focusing on Patriot Park lmao try finding clues elsewhere.

The scariest part of his video is how close I live to Wears Valley. Along with this, Wears Valley is located within Pigeon Forge, one of the locations mentioned in video 3.
I love it, but the face on the monster...well, it's difficult for even Hollywood & the most prolific horror authors to get the "reveal" right. I love it, but it would've been better with the monster being more of a mystery, imo

OK, so at approximately 3:18 a solid gray human figure appears to be superimposed onto the screen for a few seconds. Then at 4:15 the gray figure appears again and stutters closer until at 4:27 we briefly see a white skull-shaped face in the lower right side of the video. The deep-set dark eyes and the bare semblance of a flat nose give the hairless head more of an alien face than that of a human. This is the first time I've seen this video or landed on this channel. I'm honestly curious...am I to take this video seriously?

Really well done. The fps felt to smooth to be from the 80's there is a scene where it pops in after a split second of the neighborhood.
