I was at the stream the entire time, and I think the thing that made me laugh the most was that it was made incredibly clear that everything was going in chronological order in terms of discussion, and then chat was still going absolutely bloodthirsty over Bullet Train and Puss in Boots!
Meh i disagree, i think the moster aspects was done amazing, but the human aspect was really badly handled, in the og ultraman the human interaction is very important but on this film not only was very lacking but also felt alien (pun intended) the team barely talks about each other and its more about business, in shin godzilla works because the protagonists was a literal goverment agent and the whole thing was more about the desaster unlike ultraman when its suppose to be about friendship.
@@spinosaurusstriker I don't mind the interaction even though it's a vital part in the OG though I feel like the writers could have fleshed out their relationship more. But instead of focusing on that, they decided to show human's will to live and overcome difficult situations, no matter how uncomprehensable the problems presented are and also what humans are capable of working together. That gave Ultraman an arc of learning to love humans for what they are and deciding to protect them from his own kind which I find pretty interesting.
As much as I prefer the other videos, this is good. I don’t mind this stream and edit format if it means getting these sooner. Although if you wanted to go back to the old format, you could do 2 a year instead of one, each covering half the year.
I’m glad that you archived the stearm. I think you need to do more archiving of your stearms. I’m a bit disappointed that this isn’t an actual video, but it’s okay, I do like this as well.
Best movies of 2022 for me: - Puss In Boots The Last Wish - Rise Of The TMNT: The Movie - The Batman - Sonic The Hedgehog 2 - Del Toro’s Pinocchio - Turning Red
Honestly ya. I was gonna see Babylon to top 2023 off on an artistic great note but Puss in Boots 2 was so phenomenal that I avoided Babylon feeling satisfied that Puss in boots was that amazing
See How They Run was great, loved the meta humour and the whole splitscreen aesthetic they used quite often. Highly recommend to anyone with two hours to spare.
Don't feel bad or pressured if you like or don't like a movie. Love your content cause you got a personality and innocence (kind off😅) that reminds me of my son and kids in general that most adults have lost and it's great. People need to get over themselves and accept people like or hate stuff they don't. Keep up the good work mate much love from Australia 🇦🇺
I saw See How They Run in theaters and it was genuinely one of my favorite films of that year and I'm SO glad someone mentioned it, it's nothing mind-blowing but there's such good chemistry between the main characters, it's just a fun watch.
I’m glad you cut out the spoiler for Puss and Boots for this video, for those who hadn’t seen the movie. I watched the livestream though, so I wasn’t as lucky. Still though, I enjoyed the livestream, and this video. Maybe if you could start archiving your streams though? That would be much appreciated. Keep up the good work
I said before that Adam made my three favorite reviews of 2022 on Letterboxd. Those three Letterboxd reviews are the Man From Toronto review, the Bad Guys review, and the Black Phone review. To think that if it weren't for the Black Phone review, I wouldn't have reminded him he forgot about it.
Finally someone else saw See How They Run! I saw it in a completely empty theater, and it was for sure one of my favorite theater experiences. Everybody watch it asap
YES! I've been waiting for this. For me the best movies of 2022 were The Batman, Sonic 2, Top Gun: Maverick and Everything Everywhere All At Once. All of those 4 movies were amazing and I can't wait for The Batman 2 and Sonic 3. Also there were some gems like The Northman, NOPE and Bullet Train
While watching this video I got up to Puss in Boots and Diamond Bolt said “I hated it” and then instantly the power cut out without me realising and i sat here for like a minute thinking that’s how the video ended
Your ranking videos at the end of ech year are such a bless i consider them as full ducmentory i save them to best time to watch any thing . I relly hope u continue making them much love
I really like how ur also chill like me with movies, almost everything u watch u like just like me , just ez watchers , but then u check internet and everyone hates the movies etc
I absolutely loved Werewolf by Night from last year. I was surprised how even though it was in black and white, and it was a Disney Marvel thing, it had some gory moments, and the best homages to classic monster films. Also, I have never seen Grimcutty, but why was the movie lowkey a Momo movie?
I would love to see a review of The Man from Toronto where Adam does nothing but look at the camera in immense disappointment for 10 minutes only for it to end with him simply saying “It’s bad”
21:08 As a Gundam fan; I'm glad you saw/mentioned Doan's Island. Yes the episode it was based on was so crap that Tomino, the creator of Gundam, told the localisers NOT to dub that episode, but the movie version was pretty great. I and many others agree with you that the whole 0079 series needs a The Origin remake.
Our college took a bunch of people from the dorm to see The Batman and I was like "oh no a bunch of college kids in the theater is gonna totally ruin this." It was still an amazing film, and the only audience disruption was when we all cheered when Bat and Cat kissed.
2022 holds a record where all three of the MCU's theatrical offerings made me she'd tears. Granted, one made me sob more than the others (you probably know which one), but I still stand by my statement.
Ha! I have seen See How They Run. Take that. I enjoyed it. I can't help but feel that Wes Anderson was meant to direct it, but dropped out, so someone came in and replicated his style.
Well, It's safe to say that i don't care about how long the video is or about it's style, because there aint no way in hell that I ain't waching a Diamondbolt video.
Puss in Boots: The Last Wish is my actual favorite dreamworks movie I've seen. It's incredible and *(SPOILER ALERT)* Death is my favorite animated villian, and probably best villian ever. He's genuinely frightening and I honestly got chills every time he was on screen. I hear that whistle in my nightmares.
Dreamworks really looked at their past good villain characters and goes, "what if we put all of their good qualities into one character". Seriously tho, it feels like that. The fight scene went hard like Tai Lung, the emotional challenge he gave to the protagonist is like Shen, and a great entrance like Kai.
@@evilgoose6768 true, that whistle is the most iconic animated villain entrance. Just to let you know, the characters I've mentioned above are Kung Fu Panda villains. The villains in that franchise are overall great and often become a standard of good animated villains.
I went to see The Batman and the only people in the theatre were me and my best friend, so we got to react at full volume to everything and we LOVED it
Now that we know what movies that Adam watched in 2023, we should know what toys did he bought or received and rank these altogether like what he did in this video.
Something I've noticed is that every MCU Project this year has their own stylistic quirk. Moon Knight - psychological thriller Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness - Sam Raimi horror Ms. Marvel - teen stuff and creative-Nerd stuff Thor: Love and Thunder - Taika Waititi She-Hulk: Attorney at Law - episodic workplace comedy Werewolf by Night - Universal monster movie Black Panther: Wakanda Forever - afrofuturist Ryan Coogler The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special - James Gunn
I keep forgetting Puss in Boots the Last Wish came out in 2022, as it only came out a week or so ago in the UK; still one of my favourite movies to come out in forever tho
I'm comment 165, your video was very good and I actually watched like 40 out of 60 of these films and i have the same options as you, been a subscriber for 19 months now and I really enjoy your content
The best part of Sonic 2 was since Frontiers was set to release near it, between that and Sonic 2, the Sonic and Knuckles shop became fairly popular, and genuinely it was fun to see a ship that had very little exposure prior blow up due to the movie and game. It's a genuinely fun ship, too. Not to mention the found family aspects being really cute
I went to watch the batman with my friend as a casual watch thinking it would just be a good movie but then left 3 hours later with it being the best movie I've ever seen
You’re probably not gonna see this Adam, but I wanted to say something. Great video overall, but I have one small complaint, not about your opinions, but rather about a certain image featured in the video. As you said with the whole Grimcutty thing on how it was probably based on the whole Momo thing, I was part of that demographic that got fucking scarred by that shit, and I still forcefully look away and or close my eyes if I see the image, even though I’m 15 and have watched plenty of horror movies and games and stuff. The image showing up legit had me breathing like I had the Freddy Mask on from Fnaf 2. Call me a coward if you want, but I’d just appreciate it if you refrained from showing that image on screen again. Again, great video. Very fun watch aside from that image showing up, I just personally never want to see it and actively avoid things where I can maybe see it, and I’m sure there are at least a few other people who would like this. Thank you, and you’re videos are great and always entertain me.
Avatar 2 was the greatest movie this year it was an amazing incredible film I enjoyed start to finish and loved it enjoyed it from start to finish visual were amazing and so was the story Avatar 2 is good, God bless you. Also I went to see The more amazing Titanic in 3d and my mum who wears glasses got these special glasses she could wear clipped onto her glasses maybe it's only in NZ and again God bless you.
As long as the ranking comes I don’t mind the change of format. Any movies you’re excited for this year?

My dad hated The Batman because he said it was too dark. But I was like "it's Batman, it's supposed to be dark!"
Shin Ultraman is dope and it encapsulated a lot of elements of the og show but also added some things that makes it fresh. Modernizing done right
I agree with this. Adam should watch this movie, cause it's good even if your not an ultraman fan
