But, one more question: but, why male models?
@@nailinthefashion Thank you, for the compliment! And I also loved both Zoolander movies, myself. Even if the 2nd one isn't really "bad", just a little bit disappointing, and not as good as the 1st one, but they're both worth watching either way. Really, I can think of at least a few Ben Stiller films worth watching: both "Zoolander" films; "Dodgeball"; and especially; "Tropic Thunder". Me and my Mom have seen all of those films as a family, so I have good memories of all those films; especially Tropic Thunder, because I didn't think I'd get to see that one in theaters, back in 2008. And Dodgeball, I remember not being able to see it, but getting it on DVD, and seeing it on TV. Ben Stiller plays a really good sociopathic villain in Dodgeball, and Vince Vaguhn, does great as the main character. I just wish Dodgeball and Tropic Thunder could've gotten a sequel... but at least both "Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story", and "Tropic Thunder", are 2 of my favorite Ben Stiller movies, and both "Zoolander", films, are my favorite films he's been in, but Tropic Thunder comes dangerously close to stealing that spotlight away. Because of how hilarious it was. I also remember "Tropic Thunder", being both the first film I saw in theaters with my Mom back in 2008, for my 15th birthday(because 2008 was the year I turned 15; and Tropic Thunder came out around that time; had Robert Downey Jr., Jack Black; Brandon Jackson, and some other guy besides Ben Stiller(whos name i cant remember, but he reminded me of the skinny dude from "Superbad"; not Michael Cera; who was also in Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World, another awesome film, but I mean Superbad, which had that one guy; Mclovin, and in my opinion, both Superbad and Scott Pilgrim, are both amazingly great films, and Michael Cera's best performances). But I've never gotten either film on DVD, but I've seen both movies on TV, and that's cool though. But the 1st DVD I got, after Dodgeball, was Tropic Thunder; although; unfortunately, my DVD for Tropic Thunder broke a few years ago. Like literally broke; into pieces. It stopped working one time, and then broke in half. It's too bad; Tropic Thunder, is one of the BEST movies ever made; ever. It's the thing that reignited the careers of: Jack Black, Robert Downey Jr, and even Ben Stiller for awhile. I'm only saying, it'd be great to see a 2nd Tropic Thunder...with the same cast, but I guess it's also maybe better this way? So we don't accidentally somehow see one of the best movies ever made get a disappointing sequel. Also, sorry if my comment went on longer than I expected. But thanks for listening either way.
I have been the hugest fan of Zoolander since it came out and let me say...people really did not like it at first. They didnt understand it was a parady and tbought it was juat a comedy about male modelling. I got teased honestly up until the past few years for saying Zoolander is a genius comedy film and by far Ben Stiller's best work.
PS, the “Malays” dialouge that Zoolander said to the PM at the end sound more like “baku malay” with an Indonesian accent than actual Malay language. And Ben stiller posted a picture where hansel actually got to meet the real prime minister of Malaysia IRL 😂 the one who got convicted and jailed for the 1MDB fund embezzlement
As someone from Malaysia and only watches movies when it gets on tv when I was a kid, I've never actually knew about the Zoolander movies so I'm glad I get to actually experience it now with one of my favourite youtubers lmao
Derek didn't mean Hansel turned left to get his undies off on the runway, he meant that Hansel could have skipped the underwear bit and just do a left turn to beat him.
Mugatu's Breakout scene in 2 is still hilarious. He makes such a realistic bodysuit just to have a crappy mask of his face to put it on Derek and tears off the suit infront of the guards on his way out and yet they still believe that Derek walked out.
It's literally the FUNNIEST thing Will Ferrell's done in years, and in film. And I actually LIKE Will Ferrell as an actor(certainly more than Adam Sandler, because unlike Sandler, Ferrell has been trying more often). But when was the last time Adam Sandler was funny? I literally can't remember a time when he was funny. But with Will Ferrell, I remember him being funny in both Zoolander movies, Step Brothers(in my opinion), and maybe Talladega Nights, and the 1st Anchorman? Will Ferrell is pretty funny when he REALLY tries, especially in those films, hes like Adam Sandberg, but managed to be funnier for a longer time, or maybe, that's just me? Or maybe, it's Maybelline?

And "Tropic Thunder", was the first film I ever saw with my Mom back in 2008, in theaters, when I was 15; and the first DVD I ever owned, along with "Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story". It's too bad both dvd's broke a long time ago...because I still love those films. And while I wanted to see Zoolander on DVD, that never happened, same thing with the Ben Stiller & Owen Wilson "Starksy & Hutch" movie they were in together, which was like the Ben Stiller version of "Rush Hour"; the film trilogy that Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan did together. I loved those movies too, and Jackie Chan is a pretty awesome guy too. Nothing to add, I just wanted to say he's cool.
Watching your videos is so soothing. I’m glad things are going a little better so you’ll hopefully be making more content with Bionic Pig. And just in general. Thanks for creating such chill content
Zoolander 2 is, in my opinion, the only sequel of the 'legacy' comedy classics (Anchorman, Dumb and Dumber, Super Troopers, etc) that managed to not suck. Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson slipped right back in to their characters rsther than being charicatures of themselves, which was the biggest issue of the other mentioned sequels. I hesitantly await Dodgeball 2.

Derek must have the most incredible fucking acute face control, genuine talent right there
Well, this IS Derek Zolander you're taking with, after all...
That bit where they destroy the computer to get the file inside it kills me every time.
Omg I just commented that line. "The files are IN the computer!!!!" It's such a classic, with the big ass candy Mac LMAO omg
@@nailinthefashion Everytime I have to find something on my computer that goes through my head. "They're in the computer...it's so simple."
@@sualocin (glances over at a cartoonish sledgehammer) 👀
Will Ferrell is my favorite part of the first movie. He was so over the top about everything and more often than I should do I quote “I FEEL LIKE I’M TAKING CRAZY PILLS!!!” And think about “Kill the Malaysian Prime Ministerrrrrrrr!!!!” 😂
It isn't blackface. It's camouflage.
Of course it isn't blackface, unless Elvis thinks a real black guy playing the part is the same equivalent lol. Sometimes he highlights things that nobody was bothered by until he mentioned it.
"Alpa and I's already wearing earth mama's natural night camo."
My best friend and I used to basically communicate through Zoolander quotes. No one else had any idea what we were talking about. We also made a point to unleash Blue Steel as often as possible when taking photos. And we were grown women in our twenties. lol
i can feel zoolander coming inside of me
His power is coming in me
Huh
Same
*Pardon?*
HUH⁉️
The crazy pills line gets me every time. It sums up how I feel being on the internet.
It ain't just the internet
Between the scenes "mer-man" and "what is this, a centre for ants?!" Just *chefs kiss*
I can't hear Wake Me Up Before You Go Go without thinking of the gasoline fight...😆
Yep, same here...
UK here, born 1980 and can tell you Elvis, you are not alone. these movies are just brilliant. wish we had got more of them..
The “center for ants” line hits me so hard cuz of the echo after says it 😂 god i love zoolander
"What is this: a center for ants?!?" Would you believe that line was improvised by Zoolander, which is probably why Will Ferrell and Todd are surprised by that line?
When he said: "all he had to do is turn left", he's saying Hansel could've won easily by doing that as Derek couldn't
Lmfaso😂😂😂
I think it's safe to say we're all glad that you're reviewing these amazing movies!
It's none taken, guardless.
i remember going through a really tough time some years back and i went to the cinema alone to watch zoolander 2. it healed me, truly
Literally whenever anyone asks the question "What is this?" around me, I shout back, "A CENTRE FOR ANTS?"😠
Zoolander was one of my mom's favorite movies so I grew up watching it again and again.
Your Mom has great taste 😉
@@MScoachDANIMy Mom loves the first Zoolander too, so I also grew up watching it myself, and me and my Mom still quote the first "Zoolander", all the time, especially the center for ants part, and the part with Mugatu saying he's taking crazy pills. Because I was randomly thinking about these movies too, and how Will Ferrell ALSO used to be, in both of them; and if they made a 3rd one; don't say I didn't predict it; by turning left. But, one more question: but, why male models?
What an awesome mom
Will Ferrell saying “KILL THE PRIME MINISTER OF MALAYSIA” is forever burned into my memory…
Shhhhh you were right all along 🌈✨️
his best work is still Tropic Thunder, imo, by a mile. nothing comes close.
@@bottomlefto tropic thunder is great but not because of Stiller.
@@AaronHendu he wrote and directed the film, what are you talking about
The fact that this movie was banned in Malaysia is hilarious
You misunderstood what Zoolander says after losing the walk off, he meant that Hansel could have won the walk off by just turning left.
Was that AFTER the corrupt arms deal with thatcher? Parody imitating life.
Not Elvis doing the zoolander pose perfectly in the beginning 🤭
That scene with the model of the school is iconic. My family and i occasionally reference it, voice and everything
As someone from Malaysia and only watches movies when it gets on tv when I was a kid, I've never actually knew about the Zoolander movies so I'm glad I get to actually experience it now with one of my favourite youtubers lmao
Derek didn't mean Hansel turned left to get his undies off on the runway, he meant that Hansel could have skipped the underwear bit and just do a left turn to beat him.
how do you figure that?
@@alegrandax truly a Zoolander ass question.
You should cover 21 jump street and 22 jump street, such goofy and pretty funny movies imo.
Step Brothers needs to be the next one to talk about, it’s just too funny😂. Especially as Will Ferrell is just down right hilarious🤣
honestly i really really like you talkin about media you like it seems like youre having alot more fun even with your laughs throughout keep it up mans
Omg finally sombody is doing the zoolander recaps it was so hard to find one on youtube🤩👌🏼😁 thanks for the upload
People always look at me weird when i say i loveeee the zoolander movies🤭😂 especially the celeb cameos
You too? I also love Zoolander's films. And so does my Mom. But she did know about the 2nd one, which I thought was going to be the 3rd one, and not the first one, you know?
9:56 it would be equally funny if he thought turning left showed his bad side so he made up a disability to be constantly showing people his good side as he turns 💀
I love it when Elvis does a video about something he really likes. They are the best videos he does. I love watching people talk about something they like/love and they just get so excited. Also, Zoolander is such a good movie!
Elvis: Derek is wearing these ridiculous onsie pajamas...
Me: 'Look down at my footed pj'
Elvis: with penguins all over them
Me: 'Again, look at my footed pj..with penguins one of them'
Fine, I'll change.
Love that Alexander Skarsgård has a cameo in the second movie, though he has changed so much (he definitely looks more like a model when he's Adam)!
I love these movies, i ironically did runway modeling 20 years ago, so it makes it relatably hilarious. ALSO i named my fat white cat Mugatu, cause i love that character.
I love this film a lot! I enjoy positive content overall, you should do more. Too many critical/negative reviews across the platform so it’s kinda a breath of fresh air!
This 1000%
zoolander was way ahead of its time with derelicte because hobo-chique and homeless fashion became a thing
"apperently this is not an original idea" you don't know how much i fear that phrase when it comes to a zoolander films
The first Zoolander was a cornerstone of my childhood
Same here
@@Sand-Walker13 Same. Me and my Mom quote the movie because of how great it was. I don't get why people don't like it or didn't like it at first. The second one? Maybe? But I could see myself enjoying both Zolanders. But the part about Derek's wife and father being dead was definitely the saddest thing in the movie. Also, I didn't even know there was a second Zoolander until this video. How did I miss out on this?
Hearing Neal Degrasse Tyson say "I'm Neal Degrasse Tyson Bitch" is my everything...😂😂
i love when zoolander said ‘it’s zooin’ time’ and landed all over the place
Just wanna say, his dad sits in the bar and waits to see his other son on TV. It embarasses him outwardly, but inside he is proud.
It's been years, and I still commonly jokingly reference the addiction to crazy pills that I can't kick. It's been getting so much worse the last few years. But I just can't seem to go a day without them.
❤ Great video my Man!
I just want to point out some things I think you might have missed...
1. Zoolander's look "Blue Steel" stoped a ninja star mid flight, saving the leader of a country. Hence the amazement, they weren't just blown away by the look on his face 😂
2. Hansel says "Cut my bangs, I'm blind out there." Then proceeds to scream. Which is a Boxing reference, when a fighters eye is swollen mid fight. They'll ask the person in their corner to cut it, to relieve the swelling 😂
I don't care what I'm doing or at what point I come into this movie, but if someone is playing it or it's on....I will stop everything and watch it....every single time.
Zoolander, dodgeball, starsky & hutch and tropic thunder are all classics and are all fantastic!
I agree completely. I've seen all of those movies, and they're great, and me and my Mom quote Zoolander, even now.
The first one was hilarious!
They're not Sandler cringe "funny" but perfectly shallow and dumb !
Love it !!
watch Hustle.
FINALLY! A UA-camr with TASTE. ❤️ I adored the first one when it came out and still do. Def Subscribing.
I love how they got all the actors playing something here
“Glitter is like the herpes of craft supplies”- Demetri Martin. You’re welcome, Gabbie hanna the alien
Zoolander is a hilarious parody of the fashion world, in the same level with "Tropic Thunder" (you should make a video for that too)
44:01 so funny to know now this was around the time he started uploading the pre made videos
I love this movie, it def was in heavy rotation in my household as a kid. My little bother & I thought this was hilarious 😂🤣
On time as always Elvis XD
still love it thank you so much for making this video
Gotta congratulate you on the perfect intro.
Sometimes I click to re-watch only that part alone
Sometimes I come back to this video, just to feel something
As someone how is a model and has been on multiple runways, zoolander is super dramatic ofc, but a lot of it is real and does happen lol
Are the drugs as easily accessible as every piece of media about models suggests?

@@xxvskrunkle yes, but overtime i got used to it. Now i dont get nervous unless its a big shoot with a big brand
@@Dalmoon98 oh I'm glad for you nervousness is not fun
17:20 that‘s not what Derek‘s saying there. He is saying that Hansel didn’t have to do anything fancy, just turning left would have sufficed to win
Thank you. That's the joke
😂 a friend of mine was one of the girls in Don Atari's entourage (she was killing it as a suicide girl back then) and I joked referencing "Hexe is so hot right now" every single time I saw her 😂
Whenever something is comically small i always use a variation of "is it a *blank* for ants?"
shame the merman never returned in the sequel. seeing ben stiller wear a costume merman tail and swim in it irl would have been a treat
Still never watched the 2nd one but the gasoline fight in the first one still makes me lmfao every time I see it.
