Yes!!! I can't believe how great the Black on Red looks. Those motor mounts really work well. I thought you found a place to mount the camera so it didn't vibrate as much. Or, because of the tires. I'm stoked for you BRO!
From the little shown it’s not smoking like it used to. Also looks like it could use an alignment. Do any tacoma‘s or 4 Runners utilize an under hood insulation pad? If so, that would really help to finish the Under hood.
Sweet spot on most diesels including semi's is 215F. Pullin 80,000 lb on a long grade can get up to 230F. That also includes the 12V/24V cummins light truck engines. 4bt and other 4 cyl diesel should not be that different. Nice job on the build!
Your probe is sensing the outside temperature of the radiator only where it is touching the tubes. The rest of it is basically sensing ambient air. You need something like this to actually sense the water temperature directly instead of trying to sense it through the outside of the radiator: frsport.com/perrin-performance-asm-gau-106-coolant-hose-adapter-38mm-id-hose

Stop babying it, youl just glaze the rings and bore. Rings will seat with pressure, and pressure only. And dont rev it before turning it off, the turbo was spinning on very high rpm when you shut her down of oil feed. Other than that, nice looking build.
Nathan Brame 400psi working against the ring top surface and pushing it towards the piston ring groove and only the back of the ring surface area to push it against the bore. 400psi is nothing to seat the rings when cylinder pressure is 2000-3000psi on hard pull.
Great job on this build man !! I have always loved Toyota's, and have owned many V-Dubs... Love that TDI power plant !!

Hell yeah man! The last thing it needs is a black stainless snorkel, would set it off perfectly 👌👌
Man, this guy can build!!

Good God that thing is awesome!
Sounds really good 😎
Need to get the new wheels on it. It looks like it skipped leg day.
Looks awesome mate👍👍
Land cruiser 80 series wiper arms after 1993 will also do the trick.... why didn't you fit a 1kzt 3.0 toyota engine? Good work with the tdi mate!
The 1kzt 3.0 toyota diesel engine is nipot available in the USA but in South America yes it is
Or any Toyota 2.8 tdi
and where the hell would you find that motor? and parts would not be amazon prime delivery😎

When you taking it on a wheeling trip ?
what happen to your jetta thats why i watched all this thought it was going in there
Did a Ls swap ever come to your mind before swap and do you think it will have enough room?
Do you understand the difference between 40mpg and 20mpg.
Both make similar torque.
Doesn't seem to smoke as bad as before the rebuild
Spinner Bruce no not nearly as bad! Runs much cleaner
Awesome!!
runs mint
sounds good
my mercedes sprinter diesel has a 190 fahrenheit thermostat btw
Don’t you mean 87c?

Good thing about vw Tdi is with 400psi compression the rings have pressure behind them. Don’t you worry.
