Make sure that n75 atm line has a filter on the end or it'll fail again. I just grabbed a inline fuel filter from the parts store for mine. Can't remember if you added a nipple to your intake or not like the oem setup had.
One of the things you can do to test vacuum line leaks is to pinch them off one by one with a set of pliers. If you reading goes up a lot you know you are on the right line. keep testing different branches until you narrow it down. No good for manifold leaks of course. Also a good way to find heat damaged lines, pinch, snap! oops haha
Awesome video again. I suggest for a small project that you could do custom gage cluster designs. get the red line correct and give it a more modern look and make all gages one color at night.
Man that eye candy in the beginning with that sweet track. U got some mad editing skills. Good sense of humor too, that HMM?!? got me good. And I admire the way you care for your rig. Similar to me how I care for mine. Most people find it absurd that I spend so much time on my rig. So I’m happy to see that I’m not the only one. Great job as always.
I keep a spare N75 in each of my VE cars. They do like to fail in unexpected ways at random times. As others have said, the N75 will die a quick death if the vent line is not plumbed to a filtered environment. I use a short run of vac hose and a lawn mower inline gas filter. This method allows snappy boost to 30psi and never overshoots.
its a vw we always got problems lol =) im a tech diaged a 2012 ford explored the other day same issue vacuum on the booster was -20 but every time i would depress the peddle it it went to -7 and then build pressure back up mine was a bad booster. glad yours was a easy fix though.
Next thing I'd check is probably a check valve in the fuel pickup in tank letting it drain back I believe at the pump in tank or least the pickup has a check valve to make fuel only go out of tank
I think a new set of gauge faces need to be done to change the redline on the tach. Just one of those small finishing touches only car guys will notice.
are there leak off pipes from the injectors back to the fuel pump? I had a similar problem and it was the leak off pipes introducing air into the system.
Put a fuel filter from a Mk2 1.6d fuel filter from 1990-1992 Bolts right in. Same fittings. Just has no thermostatic T Have an mTDI, never had a single Problem.
its his tune because i have the same motor in my bug and it doesn't smoke at all. I don't particularly like tunes that put out black smoke either because it seems like a waste to dump all that unburnt fuel. I had a tuner delete the smog equip on my bmw diesel but i didn't have him touch the fuel maps and it only puts out a few puffs of a dark gray smoke when i get on it.
great looking rig. Good power on it too. I've been following this build from the beginning.
I love how open the engine bay is. It makes it nice to work on things.
You think twice if you had replaced the vacuum pump or coolant flange.
I want to tdi swap a wrangler so bad, love your videos man! Saw them because I’m in the tdi truck group on Facebook. Lol
Snazzy front end there dude.
My 92 and my 08 are into that truck!

Colton J no nipple, I will throw a filter on it👍

Glad to see this was an easy fix for the vacuum problem

Arvind Paragsingh ahh yeah man! Thank you!!

Yeah those n75 valves are a headache in a half, I've had 3 tdis and those valves all went bad on me

Been here from the start of this build, it looks dope! When are you going to do a colab video with your pea headed brother?
I'm so jealous of your TDI conversion! Would love to do that to mine.
When I did mine the only thing I didn't cheap out on was vacuum line. Bought braided 5mm line from IDparts.
The leak is most likely on the injectors return hose the 4" ones right at the injectors.
Had this problem with mine
It's always nice when every thing works the way it is sapose to work. good job.
Good to see it rolls coal!😁
3:36 what are you using for a ratchet
What an awesome truck! Excellent work!
Idk if anyone has said this but when you take stuff apart your so gentle its like your holding a baby
Forest Harvey it is my baby lol
With Ceramic coat you can blow off most of the water after the wash with a leaf blower. That way you don’t wipe down the vehicle as much. 👍🏼

She is clean mate, great job!!
nice33, real ogs like before watching
do the cat fuel filter mod on that truck. filters down to 2 microns and will look great as well takes a ford adapter
Im not a fan of the threaded hose clamps, they would constantly rattle loose on my truck and cause problems, the crimp style are a better option.
Gotta buy “blue band clamps”
They will last the life of
The application.

So awesome truck. How i wish I could build similar to yours
Nice truck man. I would love to buy your truck.
Great looking love it. I like the red color. I would like to know the color code can u please help me?
Factory toyota 3H4
Badass i have a 94 pickup 3.0. Damn head has a leak! Love this build!! What type of mirrors are those from?
datboired832 the mirrors are from a 4runner
Very nice truck 👍🏻

Yes those are new and don't seem to be leaking
I want that truck so bad 😄
Looks tough bro
Sounds so good!

whats your MPG now with all the stuff that you did to your engine
I have not checked mpg yet!
Vilen dank fur gut video!!!
You may have to do a smoke test to find your vacuum leak!
What is the product you spray on the truck when you dry it?
oliboivin just a spray wax
Well done sir.
Holding vacuum and producing it after its used
Electric works
Looks fantastic, hope you get all those small bugs worked out soon. 👍🏼
Time for Interior
Way better ☮️
Lol at 5:04
Bad n75 could have attributed to the "excessive black smoke" as the tdi page called it.
Tj Hupp yes smokes much less now!
Where are you from cause I wanna see this beast in person
## Dude, I'm watching you I have a car like this Hilux 3l model 1990 ..🙂🙂👏##
🇵🇦🇵🇦🇵🇦🇵🇦🇵🇦👍👍👍👍👍
The fuel leak back is from your injectors!!!
Way to clean THEN WASHED IT!
Toorak Tractor! Ya won’t get it!!!
Gotta get the bugs off before they don't come off!
I put in an older year filter that doesn’t even have the T
🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷✌😎🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
💪 💪 💪 👍 👍 👍 🇷🇺
I am not any environmentalists but that thing smokes too much for me.

greg h - ya he is so close but it seems to be running really rich I bet he figures it out.
Probably has to do with his turbo boost issues.
You did not just drive for ten minutes and then go home and wash it 🤦♂️
Sorry to say but ist a VW...
