Come On Die Young | Mogwai's Underrated Post-Rock Gem

- Mogwai is a legendary Post-rock band formed in 1995. Hailing from Glasgow, Scotland, the band consists of Stuart Braithwaite, Dominic Aitchison, Martin Bulloch and Barry Burns. The band has become known for their distinctive, atmospheric sound. They've released a number of essential Post-rock albums, including Mogwai Young Team (1997), Rock Action (2001), Happy Songs for Happy People (2003) and The Hawk is Howling (2008).
But there's one album by the band that's very rarely brought up. Come On Die Young (1999), which is an underappreciated masterpiece in Mogwai's discography. It's rarely ever talked about or acknowledged in any way. So today, I want to change that and give this fantastic Post-rock album some due recognition.

Why, you’ve done it again! Another band and album that I only ever scratched the surface.
Your descriptions are so clearly authentic. That passion and expression of the music and how it moves you is my favorite part of your channel.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
best post rock album ever
I remember listening to this album going through a falling out with friends, while moving out of my parents house and doing some home improvement with my dad. I look back on it and this album transports me to a more vivid memory on what I was going through.
I first heard about Mogwai through the Skins UK soundtrack. I always associate them with Cassie.
thanks for putting me onto this album
If you love this album, you should listen to The Texas-Jerusalem Crossroads by Lift to Expereince. It's a post-rock/ shoegaze adjacent album
Is it widely available? Sounds interesting.
It's my favorite as well.
