The Beetlejuice crowd will be rolling through now lol. Vanilla sky originally brought me here. It was during a time when i was lucid dreaming a lot and was 3 months sober. I ended up relapsing after that time and thats the last memory i have of myself being me. I developed a pretty gnarly kind of ocd after called sensorimotor ocd and some chronic pain. When i heard this song it brought me back to that time. That was back in 2011. Got sober in 2012 and I have a 6 year old daughter now and a wife. I still have my mental issues, but i live with it. Gid bless all

The people on 1:58 are actually married. They lived a few houses from where i worked here in Iceland. They are truly the most kind and happy people i have ever known. It was amazing to see how little they differ from any of us "normal" people. Spread the love !

I discovered this song on the Vanilla Sky soundtrack 17 years ago. I have been playing this song for my special needs daughter every night as part of our bedtime routine since she was born six years ago. This song is on a short playlist of bedtime songs and although we don’t understand they lyrics she hums herself to sleep to it every time. I just now looked for the video for it for the first time ever. There is really nothing I can say about the way I feel right now except serendipitous.

I just want to come on here and say this song changed my life when I was 13 years old. I’m 25 now, I was really going through a rough time at 13. Something happened to similar (without the LSD, but plenty of alcohol). But it was ages before this song. My song is The Rain Song by Led Zeppelin. Even to this day I feel it's my life's theme song (the lyrics are a mystery to me, but they can't be separated from the whole of the song). I want it played during my funeral, and at the spreading of my ashes on the Ohio River.

That's a very nice story, it can only take a moment of surrender. I had one sad song that led me to get in touch with a life's sadness due to a break up and not being able to run away anymore. It was Dustin Tebbut- the breach. It kept coming on the radio and it hurt to listen to but a deeper intelligence for once in my life said STAY, leave it on.

People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered. Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives. Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies. Succeed anyway. If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you. Be honest and sincere anyways. What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight. Create anyway. If you find serenity, happiness, and joy in the simple things, some may think you're simple minded. Be happy anyways. The good you do today, will often be forgotten. Do good anyway.Give the best you have, and it will never be enough. Give your best anyway. In the end, it was between you and God. It was never between you and them anyways.

When I first watched this video 11 years ago, I couldn't properly appreciate it. It scared me a bit, I guess. Then my niece was born and I had to deal with the reality of Down Syndrome in my family. After a long process of personal development, I come back to this video and realize it was just too heart-felt, wholesome and beautiful for the guy I was in those years.

A few years ago, I bought my brother the nirvana bleach for a few dollars, it turned out that it was just the case, the album was from another band, with nothing on the record with what appears to be a baby / alien in a fetal position.
I listened to it several times and it was nice, I never knew the name because Google never identified the track, until now that years later I find this track, which has given me the name.
it is something crazy I have unexpected 🧐🍷

Image and sound form a unity here - and I still mean that after almost 14 years. Both inseparable from each other. A great work by Sigur Ròs and a great performance by the "Perlan" theater group from Iceland, staged after a choreography by Lára Sstefánsdóttir.
And the message to us humans behind it has depth, despite the emotional, the visible.

Did you know that in Jewish Orthodoxy, people with so-called down-syndrome are believed to be re-incarnated saints? because they can do no wrong or commit sin in that form. My Rabbi always stands up out of respect when someone with so-called down syndrome comes to pray at our synagogue.

+Circa Aeon So called down syndrome? Its called that because it is just that, and its a severe genetical disorder. Respecting someone because of a disorder is okay i guess. But its sad really, their one chance in eternity, spent with a disorder that always keeps them outside society, having naive religious people think of them as angels is just one of many examples of what these people have to endure. 99% suffer from mental impairment, abundant diseases and most die early from this condition. Oh, and by the way, religion is like downs syndrome for the mind, and although i respect you, i understand that you suffer from a severe mental disorder. Now Jewish orthodoxy sounds even more stupid than i previously thought.

    • @Klara9

I found this CD during a particularly hard time in my life. I remember: $3.59, I was always so shocked; Less than $4 to save a life. Less than $4 to keep someone going on their second shift of the night alive. I've long since burnt the disc itself out and it won't read anymore however I still come back to this song specifically when times are tough. I don't know why this song just makes me break down and get out all of the darkness but damn, I'm glad it does; the amount of experiences I would have missed and the people I wouldn't have met.
