Kane Oakley American punks better, and more influental (except Pistols and Clash).

Petar Nićiforović The Beatles is considered the best rock band of all time so that immediately debunks classic Rock
Kane Oakley Well, right. But there are also lot of American rock bands which are among the best. So, both countries are quite good.

It's probably the most complex and diverse and massive genre apart from metal. So many subgenres and different styles. So many underground or obscure bands to choose from too. Me personally, I love Crass, Fear, The Casualties, GBH, Op Ivy, Discharge, NOFX, Germs, and Subhumans just to name a few not on this list. There's thousands more. It's like making a top 15 metal bands of all time. Where would you even start? There's Thrash, Doom, Death, Nu, and all the classic metal bands like Iron Maiden and Black Sabbath.
Seriously, what's with all the Green Day hate? They're a great band.
"Because they're like too mainstream, bro" - Punk fans
+Orange Juice W/ No Pulp Yes they are mainstream, but they play punk.
No no they are pop. I would never put them into punk. We can call them pop punk. Sorry.
Mary Lapara Yeah, they're pop punk, but why does everyone think they're a horrible band? It's stupid.
Green Day is pop garbage, it doesn't take much to write a few hits, then sellout.
I'll save you some time, you don't need to read any more comments. All of them are basically "what?? No (insert band name)??? But you put Green Day??!?!!"
What happened to The Exploited they where really good catchy punk band
You should do a Special list for Melodycore to honor the long lasting tradition of Epitaph, Fat Wreck, Burning Heart, Bad Taste and Co.
Ramones primeros, por supuesto, los mejores!
no Pennywise or Offspring??? WTF
They even put up my favorite Green Day song, Having a Blast (1994)
It's Burnout, not Having a Blast (I wish it were though)
I’m not expecting it to be here, but The Damned should be here

I associate punk with the teen age. But as I am a person of limitations I tend to have fun at punk too. And generally music overcomes limitations most easily.
