Hey have you ever ran into issues with 2004 ls430 3rd shift solenoid ? My car been doing it off n on where i wont shift past 3rd. And check engine code says 3rd gear shift solenoid. I had a shop mess with it and it was gone for a while amd then same issue came right back. Seems like alot of ppl has this problem.
Fantastic Video! Comedy is top notch. I've got the same code on an A750 transmission and I'm preparing to buy both the SLU and SLT solenoids for my FJ Cruiser 2014. Transmission overheats about 40 minutes into a long drive over 60mph. Does that sound about right?
I would recommend replacing the entire valve body and make sure you have fluid in it. I don’t think those solenoids will cause an overheating issue, but a low fluid level can cause all kinds of trans problems. Make sure your trans cooler is working and that the fluid level is correct. Please like, subscribe, and share the channel.
Hey homie, keep up the great work! Got a question.. I recently bought an 04 LS430, needless to say it's last relationship was not a healthy one.. Been repairing it since I got it. Currently addressing the p2757 code so am doing this very job. My issue is the SLU and SL2 solenoids are swapped locations in the valve body.. I'm thinking someone tried to do the repair previously and somehow reinstalled wrong.. What do you think? Should I put them in the locations according to the diagram? I see no signs of anyone ever being up in the tranny other than that so I can't be sure if someone did that or it's always been that way. Tranny performed fine, other than the code..
Oh no, you can’t be swapping partners in and out of the relationship! I’d verify first that they are swapped. Make sure that the SLU solenoid matches the one in the video. If it does then I think you just have a solenoid issue. If it doesn’t then someone else has been playing ball on your field. And that’s definitely detrimental to the relationship. Let me know if you have any more questions. Thanks for the feedback on the channel’s content.

hey man, great video, i have a 2003 LS430 with 191k miles, when i shift into drive it takes a minute or 2 to get into drive, sometimes reverse doesnt work, sometimes it does, but once its in gear its fine, no slipping, no shuttering or anything. any thoughts? should i try this solenoid? thank u again man !
Hey man. If I was you, this is what I would try. First, I would try adding a bottle of the Lucas stop slip. In addition I would also add the Lucas transmission conditioner. I’ve had amazing results from that on my personal vehicles. It’s not a permanent fix, but it helps buy you some time. You could try the solenoid. But based on the problems you’re having I would be more inclined to just put a complete remanufactured valve body in it. I’ve seen them on eBay with a lifetime guarantee for around $400-$500.
