@@davideldred.campingwilder6481 I think at this time you should keep you rhetoric to yourself in the future. If you think Ben is in your words "patronizing" and "made LOADS of money" you are ignorant and totally wrong. I've been watching Bald since he had about 5000 subscribers, throughout the years he has donated/given money, clothes, food, drinks etc. to the people of that particular country he visited and not once has he patronized or stole LOADS of money from them. What kind of drugs are taking?
Also did you even watch this video properly? He gave people money and wished them good luck, 1) how is that patronizing? 2) Is he running away with the money?
I live in New York City and when you started talking about how everyone is all calm , stoic , no one’s pushing to get infront of one another etc I couldn’t help but think how fucked me and the rest of NYC would be . So true! I'm shocked at the behavior. Polite and respectful almost everywhere. So different from NY. I'm in California, and I'm sure the people here would be in chaos just as bad as NY during something like this.
It's kinda nice and heartwarming to see so many ppl in high spirits in spite of what's going on, even finding reasons to laugh as they're literally fleeing danger, just shows how strong and indomitable their spirits really are ❤❤🇺🇦🇺🇦

Shame on Ukrainian army for refusing to let Indian students on trains leaving major warzones

That was very moving. Such a senseless, horrible tragedy. Thank you for posting this. I feel like I learned more about the situation watching your video than from all the hours of talking heads I've watched the past few days.
Bald, you are a great man for helping those people lift their bags and themselves onto that train. A true stand-up guy.
This is quite a different vibe than your other vlogs. Usually sipping tea looking out the window of an old Soviet train, spilling the history of the lands you cross…although the history of this one is coming to life more than usual.
now he gets to see new soviet train
This is probably the closest to true reporting I'll ever see on what's going on over there. You're actually out there and speaking with people, when everyone else has been fishing for snappy headlines and quotable propaganda.
I am glad you and so many others are safe. I am scared that so many still aren't.
He left though..?
Nah..I don't blame him..
but so far.. there is very little evidence of any deliberate nastiness against civilian areas
@@JETJOOBOY Little? Haven't you seen the news? There's enought videos to see that theres indeed violence against civilian areas, missiles, tanks, and that's for now. Not only that, but there are thousands of refugees showing up into my country, and I'm in the the westernmost point in Europe.
@Dalara Razan This is the dumbest shit I've heard in a long time.
A guy with a camera filming himself while leaving the country is hardly "reporting". Making it more dramatic by insinuating Kyiv is about to be overrun and he's about to catch the last train is quite disgusting.
There are hundreds of actual reporters still in the country filing their reports daily to media worldwide. I don't know what kind of media you're consuming, but actual reporters have been talking to everybody from regular people to the president.
@@saschamaj completely agree. Honestly I can’t stand these sort of comments - as if a completely unregulated, unqualified youtuber who left the area before much happened is going to be able to provide more accurate ‘reporting’ than a seasoned, resourced professional (and very brave)reporter who’s actually there.
Before I stumbled on this channel, a year, maybe two years ago, people of Eastern Europe or Russia were never in my thoughts. The media never published a word about them. This channel was an encounter with their people, their culture, their struggles, but also their ordinary courage and resilience. Today, I see all of the faces of those people hoping they are well. This work of humanization is so important in a time of political polarization. Thank you and be safe.
I very very much relate to everything you said. It is amazing how Mr. Bald (Benjamin) has introduced us into various parts of Eastern Europe and former Soviet lands and allowed for us to really learn and see how they live, the culture, the people themselves.
Well said and likewise. I never gave two thoughts to Europe and now I feel like I really have a good grasp of where everything is and what is happening there.
This is future historic footage. Glad you were able to make it out in one piece. Thank you for sharing this with all of us.
This video is the payoff for following Bald in video form to seemingly every corner of the old Soviet countries. It provides an on the ground human context that news outlets struggle to provide. I wish Ben well, and I applaud his efforts to document this historical event from his perspective. I'm Interested to see where the channel goes from here.
Couldn’t have put it better!
You seem to have transitioned from obscure Soviet rellic hunter, to war correspondent and you do both well. For me, you have put human faces to this horrific conflict. Thankyou, stay safe.
