Acctially Perm is named after the word Parma, wich in a native people's language means "The far lands".The city was founded by Peter the Great in 1723. In 1940's the city was renamed in Molotov for the sake of the Soviet Secretary. But after Stalin's death it was again named Perm. It is one of the largest city in Russia. More than 1 million people live here.Perm - 2 is the city's railway station, and Perm -1 is the river station. Also we have the museam of modern art wich is named Perm - M but the letter M is like sitting on its back and it's kinda simular to 3, so this museam is Perm-3.The source: Perm is my home town :D

For people like me living just north of Milan (Italy), where you have a continuity of towns (like every 3/4km you are in the center of the nearby 15000-30000-50000 people town), places like your city leave me kind of speechless. There's so much "nothing" around there just outside of the city itself... I can go out with the car and friends on a Saturday evening and go to Milan, Varese, Gallarate, Busto Arsizio etc, all of these big centers (and a myriad of small ones) are less than 30km around me. But there? I think I'd feel like if I was in a desert, in a way :)
Wow google translate for the comments is actually working as intended. Shocking!! Excellent video. Makes me want to learn Russian and travel to these beautiful places.
Yeah, that was something lol To be honest it's kind of refreshing because these are edited videos. For all the talk about how such and such place is full of the nicest people ever...that's not always true. People are people. He having a camera certainly helps keep interactions polite and, frankly, help keep him a bit more safe than he'd be otherwise. Anyway, it's refreshing to see the occasional person just not in the mood to be filmed, outright dislike him and/or mistake his intentions/words. He has certainly had some not-so-pleasant interactions because he's on planet Earth. I like seeing them, tbh. It shows that the videos aren't totally curated BS.
Btw I am pretty sure she didn't mean it. She doesn't know what “F-ing hell” means and for her it sounded like “F- you”, pretty much one of few phrases she knows in English. So she just repeated it once she heard something familiar. P.S. Kolya's reaction to that “F-ing hell” phrase of Bald demonstrates the same: Kolya asks Bald "Did you just swear at me?"

Finally, I did that in 2019, it was a trip of a life time, did stayed at that 3rd class with all bunks, no doors, amazing, one of 3 day journey part got drunk with a Russian guy who was actually an instructor for a train drivers, so at some point after buying him couple of beers he said let's drive a train! And we stopped in a middle of nowhere for a a switch of a main part (since they are electric ones)! And he took me to a driver and I friking drove a Trans, which is not allowed by a law, but, hey, how many times do you get a chance to got on a Trans Siberian train, and that to get a chance to drive one! Have a video of it! And when we got back we became an instant celebrity on a train, because no one could believe we did it! Love the country and ppl, just an amazing experience I will cherish for a rest of my life! Good job baldy, good job!
Amazing!! Crazy story to tell, you are one of the max 50k (could be less could be mire hehe) of people who have driven a train on Transib since it was constructed. Amazing, I am jelous hehe.
My grandmother took the the Trans-Siberian train the whole way alone to visit me when I was born in Japan. It was cheaper than taking the plane from London. And that was in 1969 - the year after the Soviets invaded Czechoslovakia.
Bloody hell, Bald is incredibly deft in communicating with strangers. It's unreal. He's so good at making people comfortable and making situation non-confrontational. Really, quite an amazing skill. A true ambassador!
Yeah that was anxiety inducing! But Bald carries himself like a man confident in his ability to take care of himself. I do wish he would be more careful at times.

Great to hear the specifications from you hopefully will visit someday when I visit Russia ...I want to Experience what Russia has to offer being an American
According to the official site of Perm it's wrong.
Thank you for that extra knowlege. Greetings from Germany to "the far lands"..
Not to forget Perm's amazing ballet!

To be honest it's kind of refreshing because these are edited videos.

Had to watch that one again. She was great.

Hey, Bald! You should visit literally the edge of the world - Russian city called Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskiy, Kamchatka peninsula. Volcanoes, hot underground water and lava everywhere. You'll love it!
