The best thing I ever did was move out of the jungle of the city. They're not even celebrating the reason for the 4th of July. Mindless people.

I have been to Los Angeles, CA for the 4th of July last year and it's something amazing it sounds like World War three with fireworks going off all around you.

Did Los Angeles ban fireworks? Portland sure did recently.

If I'm right it's a fluid to ease firefighting operations. I don't know the name or the proper concept, but I've heard of it before. Used when fires won't go out because of the material thats burning.

Its class B foam. Pouring it is a lazy way of trying to make it turn into foam. Its supposed to be fed in to the hose line via an eductor or on board injection system. Since he is pouring it directly onto the spill I can only imagine they have an inline eductor which takes a few minutes to set up. They were just caught off guard by the actual size of the spill and unfortunately the exposure car paid for it after trying to use undiluted concentrate and dry chem didnt work.

In the Netherlands, they automatically use foam on all vehicle fires. I know people are afraid of contaminants from the foam, but nothing could be worse than the thousands of gallons contaminated water going down the drain on the second car fire. It probably would have been better on the first one as well. Any one have any idea what was burning in the first car fire? It is easy to see how misfired rockets could set trash on fire, but cars?
