Wow, I am learning so much from you. Thank you. 🙏🏾
The swing definitely has a lo- fi feel to it too. 😊
Such a great tutorial. Your explanations and breakdowns combined with a perfect camera angle make learning this a pleasure. Thank you so much. Game changer🎉
Glad it was helpful!
Yep found the first take a challenge. Like it slow Amy 👍🇦🇺
You're an extraordinary teacher, Amy. Thank you so much for your generous spreading of knowledge and love!
I love how it sounds like a chord when you hit in in certain spots😌
That's the harmonics doing what they do best 😁
@@AmyNaylorMusic sympathetic harmonics. Since it's all in the Key of d minor
LOOOOVE this ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ Thank you, Amy!!!
Yeah your sick ....lol your channel is mega underrated
Super, ich habe noch keine Handpan, das kann ich schon üben.
Thanks for new Inspiration 🙃
How to groove, step one:
Be Amy.
Step two:
Mission accomplished, you're grooving.
😂😂😂😂
Thank you so much! It's really helps me. I never know a beat can be have more space. (sorry my english is not so good), but I mean I always think the beats should be solid. And your video helps me and bring me to a new world haha.
Yesss amazing! I'm glad the video was helpful. Space is sooo important in music. ☺️☺️
(3:34) You are amazing, when I saved enough money and get one, this is what I want to learn, I will bea watching this is slow MO. You are a good teacher. SUBBED
Thanks so much for taking time to explain this really clearly. It opens up a lot of possibilities for practising and composing 🙏🏻
Thanks Christina. Yes, lots to take away with this one. I hope some of it is useful in the long run!
AWESOME
Fantastic.. thanks for your kind assistance.. the best on UA-cam..
Wow, thank you Peter!
You’re just sweetened my morning. ✨
Great video Amy! I always enjoy & learn something from your videos. Not being one who counts out rhythms very well you make it a little easier. Thanks & rock on!
Thanks Doran. I know a lot of folks don't get on well with the counting (me included for a long time) so I'm still working on ways to make it more accessible
I appreciate your kind lesson ^^
Thanks for watching 😊
Super helpful and fun to learn with Amy 😍
Not drinking coffee doesn't seem to have diminished your abilities as a musician and teacher... 😂 Great video, thanks Amy
The 1,2,3-1,2,3-1,2 worked so much better for an age-addled brain, thanks...
Nice! I'm glad it helped. Thanks for the feedback
Thank you, Amy! Easy to learn and so many possibilities to develop!
Thank you! Hope it's useful ☺️
@@AmyNaylorMusic yes for sure :) already grooving for my friends :)
Very cool!
Hey Amy, thanks a lot for this nice trip through rhythms and to broaden them on the surface of handpan. Doing the same at djembe feels definitely different. Got me as a new fan of your kind of teaching...many blessings to you
Funky, groovy and cool! I've just learnt so much from this. Love your teaching presentation and fresh approach. The 3 3 2 method of counting certainly works. Thanks, Amy ❤
Thanks Joel!
This is great Amy. Really enjoying your content to help with me on my Handpan journey
Thanks Phil, I'm glad they're helping
Great video thanks
Love it! 🧡
Beautiful and super interesting! Brava Amy!!
Hey Francesca! Thank you ☺️
Useful
"Just keep swimming" 🤘🏽
Hehehehe, always
Thank you VERY much for taking this time. I am a complete noob with a RAV. I will practice this daily until I get it down. The tac sounds so much nicer on the handpan than the RAV - in my opinion.
Yes, the RAV has a much more muted tak sound, very different from the handpan, but I actually really love it in the context of the RAV.
I have some videos on the rav coming soon so hopefully these will be useful to you 🥰
Awesome :)
😁🙌🙌
The beginning of it sounds like it’s turning into the Chugg of a train
Another great video. If you've really never studied music theories, we are kindred spirits! But your spirit has much more groove...for now! Mwaahaahaa! 😉
Hehehe, happy grooving!
I'm slowly slowly learning but I have limited theory knowledge... For now 😅
@@AmyNaylorMusic going back through your videos! Its so much better now I have more than just an old pot to whack on!
Appreciate you Amy! 😃
Wonderful Amy, I just did this class with you
🙏🙏🙏
omg sensei has a kettle, I wonder if it is metallic, maybe you can groove in it, also for me the swing is more even, the thing sensei did was a shuffle, or trippleting
Although my English wasn't good, but you just way too cute 😆😍
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🙈
Hi Amy,
I’m enjoying this groove very much. Is it possible to add some melody in this groove?
Greet peter
The thing I realy like about these lessons is that in some way, they all seem to keep in tempo/beat even when she is talking. If I play along it somehow perfectly matches when she starts playing again.. is it just my bad timing skills or her good timing skills
I have the same pan as you! Unfortunately it does not make me play like you....
Thank you so much for this video!! I have a question though.. do you also add melody and incorporate it into the rhythm or would you personally only play it as you did in the video/ would it be too much? just in case you also improvise could you maybe share that too? :))))
Thanks Damia, yes absolutely! The next step on from this would definitely be to add melody. I have a couple other videos that might help answer this question: "4 approaches to composition", "how to jam" and if you check out my Handpan Build a Beat series I offer some examples at the end of those videos of ways to introduce melodies to the grooves.
This is a question that comes up a lot, and I want to explore it deeper in a future video 😊
Hi, im a beginner and i would like to know if i hsve a good handpan. I feel like some of the notes i hit are flat or im not sure if is the way im hitting the pan . Please help 🙏
I got two left hands( not literally bit like saying two left feet as in being an uncoordinated dancer) I try to do the simple thing you do but wires get crossed and I freeze like an overload 😕
I do a bit better on my own but I don't have the nice rhythm like you or others have even if it's basic 😫
Hey Amy, do you do 1 on 1 teachings through video?
I do! Reach out: amynaylormusic@gmail.com 😊
