    I love how you go from that polyrhythm exercise into a fullblown beautiful song and make it look so easy! Here I'm just trying to get the beat and a decent sound out the the damn thing! I guess you're showing us what we can aspire to do some day!

    Thanks Amy, love this one. I'm the world's worst counter. LOL I quickly get frustrated with counting, but I know it's an important part of the process.

    • @Asiliea
      @Asiliea 6 місяців тому +1

      The counting is only important at first to keep yourself on-beat.
      Once you get the feel for it, you don't _need_ to count every time. But it's still worth trying to count every now and then just to make sure you're properly on-beat 😄

    Been practising for a year and a half just off my rough traditional drum kit experience and basic scales, but I could feel I was severely lacking in something.
    Just 20min of these exercises, and I can already hear and feel how much better my playing is! Can't wait to see how I sound after another year thanks to your suggestions ❤

    What I need to know is what is the best positioning for placing in front of you? It looks like you have the lower notes towards you which is how I've been practicing mine. But of course, I'll always have to have it in the same position for the sake of technique and playing the right notes.

    Hi Amy, it would be so great If you could make a "Once again" Tutorial. Maybe as an addition to your Course.I recently bought a D-Kurd, for me to follow most Tutorials because this is the most common scale. Saw Hang Massive a few weeks ago here in Germany on their Tour and it was great 🙂

    Hi there. I'm looking into buying a pan drum. Where is the best place to find one? Once I buy I will take your classes. I think you're wonderful teacher!!

    • @AmyNaylorMusic
      @AmyNaylorMusic  8 місяців тому

      I recommend finding a handpan builder in your country, and asking them for advice on the best scale to start with. For following along with classes, D Kurd is a good scale

    3:10 i cant count 2 rythms in my head. am i supposed to do this. got a knot in my brain, help! :D
    Thx for your video Amy!

    • @AmyNaylorMusic
      @AmyNaylorMusic  Рік тому

      No it is VERY difficult to count two things at the same time. Impossible even? Maybe? But if you can get one of those hands going on autopilot, then you can count the other. And THEN you can practice switching your brain from counting one pattern and the other pattern

    Great lesson - the counting and sync with the polyrhythm counting is confusing .. it’s a 3:4 timing with one playing 1, And (8th note of 2) while the other is playing the 1,2, 3 quarter notes. Love your videos but this part was a little off for me
