I love your Vlogmas episodes, Ali! I'm in the U.S. and I so enjoy going on your walks and drives so that I can see a bit of England! 🙂
I’m sat crying now, I finish work at 5pm on Christmas Eve. Retail is so hard at this time of year
Oh goodness it really is a tough gig at Christmas! Lillia is working on Christmas Eve this year too. Nearly there ! ❤️
I feel for anyone working in retail. One day off and then open bright and early for Boxing Day. We really don’t need this. Merry Christmas Davina and love from Canada🇨🇦❤️❤️
There is nothing better than that first evening of a holiday! 👌
Lovely feeling when you finally finish work for the holidays! Time to unwind and sneak a bit of time for yourself! Enjoy x
So nice, that you're having holiday now. My husband came home yesterday (Thursday) and said, that his boss had miscalculated his days-off and called him to tell, that Thursday (and not Friday) was his last day before the holiday. A very happy man!
Ooh I remember the days of working and how lovely it was to finish for the holidays. Enjoy 😊
Yay, your Christmas break has started. What fun. I haven’t been retired that long to remember that wonderful feeling. 🎄🍷❤️
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!!!❤
I finished work for the Christmas break today & I’m so happy about it. Looking forward to Christmas & then some lazy days before New Year 👍🏻 x
I do believe that more good is out there walking the earth then bad. Thanks for sharing your experience.
I like the paper advent, had never seen one before. I live in Canada, must look for one next year. Merry Christmas 🎉

Nice to be off!!❤❤😂⛄ Elaine
It's my son's last day tomorrow can't believe our schools have broken up so late this year! I can not wait for this time tomorrow ❤🎄❤🎄❤
oh the Homespun House yarn is beautiful today! 😍
Lovely vlog Ali, I love that cowl. Please wiggle the Advents, it’s my favourite bit! 😂😂
😂 I love that too! Somehow I feel I must wiggle them!
If you have a minute, could you please share Dan’s recipe for salmon and noodles? It looks lovely!
Your joy at the Christmas holidays a break from work is infectious & I am retired 🤪😳😂🤣
Love your litmus, I need to make another one. On the food side, Dan’s salmon with noodles looks wonderful. I love salmon and easy to make dishes. Would he be so kind to share this recipe with us? Thanks so much for your podcasts, have a wonderful Christmas with your family.
That cowl is lovely!!
The scarf is absolutely lovely, looks very professional.
I last worked in an office 6 years ago but it is good to see that the tradition of the Bounty and Milky Way sweets being the last ones to go from the Celebrations tin is still true today !🤣
That’s funny, they are two of my favourites!
@@Originallyadressmaker Well you would certainly have enjoyed being in our office around Christmas time !! 😄
Milky Way is my my fav! But the bounty is always last to go 😂
Love the vlog. Always something interesting to hear and seeing your projects.
The nasty people make more noise I think that’s why we notice them more xx
I don't know if I told you , my husband works at a mental health hospital and my son is an intern there for his Master's degree. I love the cowl. Have a Happy Christmas.. A wonderful 2024
That’s so amazing that it has run in the family! A fantastic career and an incredible job xx
Hi Ali! Love the scarf, so pretty. Enjoy your days off work! I know my English is far from perfect :) but that portuguese has an error, lol. It's rapazes (boys) not rapezes. ;) vlogmas almost at the end... :(
🎄🧶🐿️🥡🥢🥰🤗 Hugs, Suze. Xxx
I cannot see the link to the light. Can you repost it?
Ah sorry! It’s there now in the description and in the pinned comment, totally forgot! Thanks for reminding me 😘
I can't help but wonder if the people you deem " the bad kind" are folks who are in pain or have troubles and worries and need compassion. Maybe simply send them a kind thought rather than judging them as "bad".🙏
You should do a collage of all your pictures from your walk and put it in a video …. Love to see that 🍄🍄…. 🎄📚🎄
Where did the phrase "break up" come from? I'm not sure we call it anything. When you opened the candy tin, did you hear me yelling "Get the Snickers!" Your lunch walk was beautiful and you looked so happy. The Litmus Cowl just moved to the top of my cast-on list. I have a handful of minis, but none of them match. Might need to go yarn shopping!
Ooooo I love the snickers!
The phrase is in wide use in England and has been since my childhood in the 60s and 70s and still to this day “when do you break up from school?” “How long till we break up.?” “We break up on the 21st December”. “Only two days left til we break up “ etc. In Lincolnshire we literally broke up today (I work in a nursery) , almost a week after a lot of people in other counties. The actual phrase doesn’t seem to make a lot of sense but we all use it lol. I’m not sure where or how it first originated, I might google it.
@@andalltheangelssay212 makes me think of an iceberg. It breaks up and goes in all directions. 😊
@@ThisLittleWonderfulLife I still look back with nostalgia to when they were called Marathon
@@carolewinstead8270lol. When I was a kid we used to sing a countdown to breaking up from school song. The last day went like this:
“One more day to go,
One more day of sorrow, One more day in this old dump,
and we’ll be free tomorrow” we used to sing it to the tune of one man went to mow.
There was another one that went “no more English, no more French, no more sitting on the old mans bench” ? Not sure what the last bit meant? Headmasters bench if you were in trouble? Loads of the playground songs we used to sing we had no idea as kids what we were singing about, and some were inappropriate lol .
I don't know if I believe that there are more people like the man you met than not (at least in my personal experience) but it's a lovely thought! Very kind if him to be understanding and appreciative of the work you and your colleagues do.
