I´m still doing research on the Christmas Pickle which is totally unknown here in the south of Germany were I live. It looks like the tradition originates from the US but is linked to German immigrants and thus thought to be of German origin all the way. Love checking out details like that. I found it at a second hand website in Switzerland and legally purchased it (although I know nothing about its previous life and how its seller acquired it. It might have been rehomed from a pub at some stage in its existence 🤭). The yarn from Garnstories is named "Bunter Hund" (colorful dog) and is a one of a kind skein. As I am only now catching up with your Vlogmas, I did not know about your advent calendar from "A Homespun House" until I started watching. So it was actually a coincidence, that I sent you the yarn from Molly. I just thought you might like it - lucky guess 🤣 I also love all the other presents you received - especially the little chicken stitch markers. They are too cute. Thank you again for your wonderful videos and wholesome entertainment. I really enjoy following you and your family around - you are an inspiration and such a wonderful person. Thank you!

I was always a big fan of chair rails when the children were small. They saved many a scuffed wall! Funny to hear you buying eggs at the farm shop when you usually have so many! Ours always went off lay in the winter months and came back with a vengeance in the Spring! Take care x
