Happy New Year! 2023 was rubbish - a very bad decision and action by now ex-husband resulted in our divorce and our children severing all contact with him. However, the abundance of love and support from our family and my friends has been overwhelming and I begin 2024 feeling extremely blessed. I began the new year with a gorgeous walk - here’s to many more.

Dear Ali, Dan, Lilia and Phoebe (hens and Mia) happy new year! This was a lovely video which was so very enjoyable to watch. I had to smile at you making soup as I made some too and Grandaughter came in and asked for some to take home then Grandson visited with girlfriend who said how lovely it smelt and they hadn’t had any lunch! You can see where this is going! Husband and I ended up with a very small bowl each! Hope 2024 brings you everything good but mainly good health and happiness xx

January to me is always a bit stressful and I tend to feel like the dark, cold, short days are just filled with work and obligations - but I do want to carve out time for fun crafts and the plans for the year ahead. Thank you so much for sharing your life and family with us. The last minute or so had me teary-eyed. It’s been a tough year, starting with my eldest brother’s passing in January, and recently with the very unexpected passing of my eldest sister. Knitting helps keep me sane😏. January 1st tends to cause reminiscing doesn’t it. I obviously have been watching your podcasts for a year now as I recalled all those snippets you showed of the past year.

More vlogs in January would be Fab Ali! The drop off of all the content on many channels after vlogmas just adds to the depressing feel of January (I'm not a January fan 😂). It will really lift many people’s moods to see you highlight the positives of this long, dark month. 😊

We had never heard of a tongue drum....so! I checked & found one that's small & mostly for 1 to 5 yr olds...it is going to be a present for our 2 little great- nephews & their ( turning 1 Jan.19) baby sister. This drum is called Dylan's Dream Drum. .the idea being a parent reads to their children at bedtime & the drum accompanies the story. I think they'll love it & it's never too early to introduce music to kids. So...thanks, Ali, for showing us a tongue drum!

Ali, thank you for helping me into 2024! I’m watching this on Jan 1, 2024 in the US. I usually have a bit of a hump to get over into the new year between missing Christmas a some other negative things, but you’ve given me. New way to look at January. I too love the winter months, so that makes it easier to ease out of Christmas.

I love winter too!! I love walking in the cold weather, warming up with a cup of tea and reading a good book. Summer heat can be so hard for me. I bought the poetry for Neanderthals after I saw your vlogmas. It is so much fun!! We also got a game called Ransom Notes - it was so much fun!
