- An SR Performance Cold Air Intake is a great way to improve the power and performance of your 3.6L Pentastar V6 Charger. By replacing your Charger's restrictive factory intake with a high flow filter assembly you will see and feel a noticeable increase in rear wheel horsepower and torque. No Tune Required. SR Performance engineered their Cold Air Intake to improve the performance of your V6 Charger without the need of reprogramming your computer. By utilizing flow dynamics, this Intake will increase power using the original factory tune. Even though a re-tune is not required for operation, AmericanMuscle recommends a custom tune to reprogram the vehicles computer (ECU) to get the best possible performance from this Cold Air Intake.
Reusable Air Filter. The included high flow air filter effectively filters out power robbing particles with its multi layer design. The specially treated media creates a sticky surface to capture microscopic contaminants before they can enter your Charger's engine and do harm. Seeing that the filter is reusable there is no need to buy a new filter every few thousand miles. You can just clean the filter, re-oil it, and reinstall - saving yourself money in the long haul.

I have one on my 2018 challenger and was surprised at the difference it made. It was very noticeable regarding the increase in torque, throttle response and the sound of the exhaust got better too.

@@cristianarias-mq3zb Yea double check if you put it together right and then get sand paper and lightly rub it against the rubber part. Not the filter rubber part. Then make sure everything is tightened up. You should be good after that. Haven't had a problem since.
I just installed the newer version of this product. Great video easy to install and great improvement on response, sound is awesome, and a few ponies too. Worth every cent.

I fixed it by sanding the soft spot with 50 grit paper. Make it rough feeling, then clean the area and put the filter back on. It works

The afe momentum enclosed cai is the best for the 3.6l charger challenger most expensive aswell or you can swap out the stock airbox for the hellcat one those are the options I'm looking at and this cai aswell as it's very budget friendly but also makes me Leary

Will this unit work with the 2022 Dodge Charger GT, and - is there a new unit/another option that's come out in the time since you'd made this one that would now be the recommendation to use? Where is the direction of the air intake sensor when installing the Antique Sport?
If I put this kit on my 2020 v6 charger, will I need to get the engine tuned after? Is this going to interfere with the performance monitor applications and/or cause an engine light to come on?

I don't get it? Why is an open air filter exposed to under hood temperatures called a cold air intake? The original air filter assembly is a true cold air intake because it's a sealed box with the air inlet down low and behind the front bumper where it's colder. The aftermarket intake pick ups air up high in the engine compartment where the heat is.
The stock one restricts airflow, less air gets into the engine and through the exhaust so it's hotter. Aftermarket intakes are designed to increase airflow.

I used duck tape too help hold mine on.
How you do it just bought it and it does the same
I've seen people recommending to lightly sand where the filter connects to the intake so that it has more grip

@dedseckOS I imagine 80 would do the trick. If not, go down to 40-60 grit!
Edit: 120 grit might work too, but I'd jump straight down to 80 to make sure.
No matter how much you tighten the band clamp for the filter it still falls off

I knew I wasn’t the only one but try loosening the clamp on the other side of the heat shield and that will let go of the whole filter then hold the filter and the band together as you tighten it then reassemble it it worked for me FOR NOW

@@johnnybrackins5447 I've seen a fair amount of people recommending to lightly sand where the filter goes in so that it grips better, they've said when they do this they never had a single issue, idk how true it is but it might be worth a try

I have been lied to by American Muscle for the last time. I've been sent bad parts paid for 2 day delivery which never happened and told I have to wait because it's the shippers fault and not theirs. There's no Activity or info when I put in my tracking number for my LAST and I mean LAST purchase. Also t hey leave out tons of info on their instal videos which you find out you now have to buy more to do the instal. That's just lying and false advertisement by exclusion.

I got a 2021 charger gt and I bought this intake but the problem that I’m having is that my breather hose is on the left side of the engine and also on the sensor part mine is like a plug in play it’s only the sensor that I took out from the old intake and on the old intake it doesn’t have a sensor end or part to take off any help?

@@toughguy6604 I did find a solution I basically had to relocate it but it was easy I just ran my hand against the hose till I got to the backs where it was connected and it was pretty easy it just popped off when I pulled shouldn’t be any screws.

I don't even know that there should be in increase in actual HP rather than it being a stellar step up look-wise. The one that's in there, is only a step above the trash can lid that's on top of the engine. Of the very few missteps I would consider with all of the lower end (even my R/T) engines in general - the lack of creativity and then aftermarket options beyond say, striping and painting is mystifying to me. I would have loved for there to be something more impactful looking from the factory to start with.

Until you inform your customers that it voids their factory 🏭 warranty, when they install any cold 🥶 air intake it voids their warranty. I will not subscribe your channel
