@@littleg4061 Ok genius since u wanna answer for him, why is he using alexanders shard then? That's not doing anything for dual wielding specifically. Magma boosting talisman increases dual wielding damage of blasphemous blade more than that shard does.
For the spear/shield build I'd use the Messmer Soldiers Spear with Royal Knights Resolve. The charge attack with that weapon hits twice and the Royal Knights Resolve applies to both hits.
For the shield build, you can make it more broken if you use the sword lance. It has the bloodloss build up of a colossal weapon while still being able to sheild poke.

I ended up doing a lightning variation of the storm build for me last playthrough. Used both nagakiba and great katana. Nagakiba had stormblade and its faster moveset felt more natural for the DLC bosses, but I kept great katana with stormcaller as my secondary weapon to punish those stagger windows on larger enemies. I also was able to cast knights lightning bolt when at a distance to help with stance breaking. Probably the most fun playthrough I've had so far of this game due to the extreme variety. Oh, also had the brass shield for carian retaliation. Great build list!
With bloodfiends Arm you 100% want 2handed talisman. Its just a flat 15% damage boost, I would highly recommend assasins crimson dagger with the amount you crit aswell. Gaining 15% or so HP on every riposte is pretty clutch.
This clearly took a lot of effort and thought. Great video!! I did make a few changes to the Blood Tax Shield Build myself: Instead of Erdtree Talisman I opted for the Greatshield talisman. Only because I felt my stamina draining too quickly. And instead of the Shard of Alexander I opted for the Rotten Winged Sword Insignia (for most bosses otherwise SoA is great for mob clearing/humanoid enemies). I did find that Verdigris Greatshield had a significant drop in stamina loss to the Fingerprint Shield. But maybe that’s just me. Awesome work bro!! If you're gonna use blasphemous blade you might aswell go all into it with fire scorpion , talisman of the dread, shard of alexander and ritual sword talisman. This with rakshasa is like 7 hits of the ash of war to kill consort radahn
For the Ravenmount build I can recommend to use the sword of Milo's on the second hand to see some FP back on kills. Then you have HP and FP both back after kill enemies 👍
just a heads up: for Storm Blade is not that great of a dmg difference in going full quality or hitting 50 in STR or DEX and the minimum on the other attribute. this opens space for more END or MND to spam the attack more Freyjas GS or even the Greatsword hit high with this WA, just put it to Heavy and u can even imbue it for the melee attacks extra dmg. the same goes for DEX + bleed with the Great Katana and good fallback option like Claws of Night
for the blasphemous blade build would you say using flame affinity or cold affinity is better on the other greatsword? I know you had cold affinity in some other videos but flame in this one so after using both which one does more damage overall, moreso for bosses?
The hardest Boss in this game (on PC) is the atrocious UI. I finally managed to write a macro that let's you navigate through spells via 1-7 keys instead of needing to cycle through them. I might even try a spellcaster build now^^
I still use Anvil Hammer over Bloodfiend's Arm. I've tried it, tried to make it the best, but it just isn't. Plus, it's just ugly imo. At my level and optimizing stats for each weapon, the Anvil just does way more damage and has 60% higher AR (this is true even at level 150, Anvil is much stronger than any other weapon). I don't care about bleed damage, especially outside of boss fights. Bleed isn't needed when I can one-hit everything, even strong enemies like Bloodfiends and Knights. For going toe to toe, nothing in the game beats Anvil for pure raw damage, power, and stance breaking. Nothing. And for bosses, there are many ways to kill them faster than Bloodfiend's Arm and bleed procs. Buffed with Golden Vow and Flame, Grant Me Strength, I'm sitting at 4245 AR (times two when dual wielding them!). I just race through dungeons massacring everything, and Taker's Cameo talisman keeps my health topped off, which gives me constant damage buff from Ritual Sword Talisman. My build: Solitude armor set Anvil Hammer Erdtree Seal Milady (it's fun!) Fingerprint Shield OR Haligtree Crest Greatshield OR Eclipse Crest Greatshield (because it matches armor better haha) Ritual Sword Talisman Taker's Cameo Two-Handed Sword Talisman OR Curved Sword Talisman OR Axe Talisman OR Claw Talisman (depending on situation and whether I'm dual wielding Anvils) Ancestral Spirit's Horn Talisman (when clearing areas using Discus of Light. Discus uses 3 FP and Ancestral Spirit's Horn restores 3 FP on kill, which discus one-shot everything that's not elite) 7/7 Flasks Opaline Hardtear with Greenburst Crystal Tear OR Stonebarbed Cracked Tear Or Bloodsucking Cracked Tear (depending on fight) Golden Vow Flame, Grant Me Strength OR Boiled Crab Discus of Light Knight's Lightning Spear Pest Thread Spears Using Anvil, it's simple, I just run around smashing everything. Don't have to worry about health or managing resources etc. Other times I just snipe everything with Discus of Light (which has the farthest range of any spell or incantation). You can find an elevated point and just snipe every enemy in an area. And what's really nice is if you do get hit or low on health, you can just equip Ancestral Spirit's Horn Talisman and kill a few enemies with Discus and you'll get all your health back thanks to Taker's Cameo and not lose any FP because of Ancestral Spirit's Horn! I clear out entire dungeons without ever having to use either Flask. For bosses, I use this build or if I'm feeling especially lazy I use Blasphemous Blade build. For overkill, summon Mimic Tear. With Blasphemous Blade, proper Talismans, Physick, and buffs, WITH Mimic Tear...ANY boss is a joke that's dead in a few seconds.
@@JustinL186 with the build I outlined above. And actually, I could get it higher if I used Howl of Shabriri instead of Flame, Grant Me Strength. AND, now that I think about it, I don't think that's with the Bloodsucking Cracked Tear either! I'll test it out later and post here what I find. Also, you won't be able to get as high AR unless you're higher level (200+), BUT, even at lower levels (150), Anvil Hammer is still the highest AR in the game by a lot.
I gave up on the Blasphemous Blade because NG+7 and beyond is just a different kind of beast. DPS becomes more of a thing and from what I seen blood builds are still king. However, some contenders have risen up like Night Mages hitting for 4000+ per cast with the poison/madness hand or Lighting God with ADLS. These contenders have always been around, but DLC items are pushing them into new levels of power.
Disagreed, try out shard of Alexander , rakshasa set, dread talisman, ritual sword talisman , and fire scorpion charm with golden vow and flame grant me strength
@@KoltenHafele Blasphemous Blade is not by any means a bad weapon. With the right setup it definitely trivializes most of PvE - just not in the same way Night Mages can by dual wielding SoL and access to the DLC items/buffs. Taker’s flames cannot be used on a horse, locks you in place, and is not Lighting (arguably the best dmg elemental). Night Comet shreds through everything except the Elden Beast, can be used on a horse, cannot be AI dodged, etc.
Your builds and videos are great and are appreciated a lot, thank you! Also about the first build, I usually combine the Blasphemous Blade with the Sword of Milos, you get some passive bleed buildup out of it and it restores FP on kills, so it pairs nicely with the health regen from the red beast of a sword.
For the storm build I would swap the Divine Beast Head for the Divine Beast Helm, you'll lose 1 point in strength and dex however the Helm further boosts storm skills by another 4%
Hey @coldbwoyy, could you advice me on how to start building towards the blood tax build? I'm planning on buying elden ring and I'm guessing the build you showcased is an end game one. How do I get started and progress towards this build?

So far been big bonk then a bleed build. Well made video, informative and to the point! Thank you! Gave me some ideas for future builds lol
When using the dualwielding blasphemous/claymore, how in the game can i jump and hit with both sword ? When i do it i only hit with one sword the blasphemous ?
@@ColdBwoyy a child who cannot get a real life job needing payments from subscribers and sponsors because real life responsibilities is too difficult calling me a loser because I pointed out annoyed "worship me" pop ups? I'm actually flattered
The divine beast head and the divine beast helm are 2 different items that are very easy to confuse. The head worn in this video increases strength and dex, but does not increase storm damage. Thats the divine beast helm (Ive made the same mistake with a build like this)
I don’t see any reason to use another sword for jump attacks with blasphemous… all you need to do and focus is its ash of war, anything else feels completely irrelevant
I got tired of Simply spamming the ash of war so I added another greatsword to the build to open up a different playstyle. I have a blasphemous blade focused build already on the channel.
Are all builds still viable? My friend is getting elden ring for xmas and he is more support and tank oriented in general than looking for dps. So i thought royal knight could prove to be good for support build while blood tax shield variant is a natural tank
I noticed you tend to leave out important details new players might not be aware of, not sure if it's on purpose, like Stonebarb duration or how ritual talismans fully work, etc
Just a few nitpicks about the Blasphemous Blade build when you mention affinities for the offhand I would recommend NOT using frostbite. The advantage it has over bleed is the increased damage debuff but dealing fire damage will remove that. The other is Black Flame's Protection is a "body buff" just like flame, grant me strength. They will not stack. If you cast one it will override the other. I like how you start off your storm blade build showing a dragon, that's how I killed every dragon in the game, stormblade spam. Otherwise as straight melee its often hard to have good uptime.
Don't forget Fire Knight Helm for the first build. Bonus hp to boost your healing and survivability, bonus equip load so you can squeeze a bit heavier armour on, and bonus fire damage. I also use Messmers Orb for a gap closer and some aoe damage and frenzied burst which is like a fire damage sniper rifle. Gargoyles Greatsword has the best faith scaling in the game (that I've come across) for infusable greatswords so i use that in my offhand but swap for sword of Milos in dungeons for more fp efficiency. I want to use talisman of dread but my save corrupted before i beat Bayle 😢. I had a lot less strength investment than you did and had more endurance and mind. Just suited my playstyle more
The jump attack build with Blasphemous Blade is so pepega, gotta love it! If you wanna cut the jumping part and do nothing but press L2: The new Talisman of the Dread increases Takers Flame damage by an additional 15%
Hey man can you tell me how you got the uhhh shield bash or whatever skill it was off your fingerprint shield so i can use blood tax with a shield? lmk pls thanks
For that build I like putting cold mist on left sword, get them frosted then cancel it with blasphemous and apply frost again makes for crazy damage and ya magma talisman very importante for that build
Broooo!!! I'm on NG+7 and was struggling with Messmer. Beat everyone so far but him and Consort. Well.. I just destroyed Messmer first try with the Bloodfiend's Arm with Endure lmao. I'm rocking Crucible Tree chest armor with rest of armor set being all Solitude. Dragon Crest Greatshield talisman, two-handed sword talisman, Erdtree Favor +2, Axe Talisman. Opaline Heard Tear and Greenburst Crystal Tear. Golden Vow, Bestial Vitality, Flame Protect Me.
With your royal knight build, isn't Radagon's Icon better than shard of Alexander? I mean, the latter only buffs your AoW, but the other lets you cast your other spells faster.
@@ColdBwoyy I guess that would depend on the level, but I was mainly thinking about clearing mobs. The AoW is good against bosses, so I'll probably just change the talisman before I enter the boss room. What greatsword would you recommend for that AoW? Claymore or Banished Knight GS?
Raptor and Claws increases jump attack by 26.5% not 25%. They stack multiplicatively, not additively. 1.10 * 1.15 == 1.265 So basically a litttle bit better than your video suggests 🙂
I wish they add a "loadout" option in the game. I mean you can save your build and just switch to another build by simply loading it instead of changing every piece by piece and even changing your stats for you
to get all items you must run through all game. Cant see troubles with damage when all weapon at +25 (somber +10). The most OP skill in this game, it's your ability to run around boss, and dont get damages. It you can survive 30 min on arena, then kill boss with stick not a problem.
i would use any fist weapon in the offhand for bloodfiends arm with endure so you can proc endure, put on any other aow on the arm and then procceed to bonk
I legit did Carian sovereignity build this morning but 80 intelligence and stats to use claymore. I use carian regal scepter with some op sorceries like night comet
@@aros3554 I strongly suggest using the lordsword greatsword. It has the same moveset, doesn't change the damage of Carian Sovereignty but does have a higher crit multiplier meaning the critical hits you do will always have more damage.
@@anonzombie6001 uh no. At 80 int and magic infusion Claymore has 773 AR, Lordsworn's Greatsword has 749 And there is major differences in their movesets. Claymore has unique piercing strong attack while Lordsworn's Greatsword has just horizontal swings
@@aros3554 You're literally one handing it. The piercing strong attack is only valid for two handing. Or am I crazy? I'm not arguing the AR is different, just the critical modifier.
With blasphemous, 2nd greatsword while clearing trash should always be milos. 5FP per mob killed means if the AOW kills at least 3 you basically gain one free charge. I also dk how tf you manage 2 greatswords & armor at 20 endurance. 27 poise is horrendous too.
With Mage/Knight builds you're better off having enough points towards strength and dex to use the weapon and dumping the rest of them into intelligence. 40 strength was too much and gave you negligible physical damage. You're best bet is to build them like sneaky wizards lol
You forgot crag blade on bloodfiends arm crag blade causes so much more posture damage it out does endure cause most charged heavies one hit poise and allow for critical attacks more often personally tested.
"The Claymore is very strong because it has heavy thrusting attacks which are perfect for breaking an enemy stance" Dude you repeated this soooo many times haha your favorite weapon for sure
I use prayerful strike on it since the weapon naturally restored HP on kills plus PS gives you HP for each successful hit. Add takers Cameo to it and you never have to heal

L1 instead of R1.

I'm actually flattered
If I have 2 blasphemous blades should I use that instead?
Been running the Shadow Sunflower Blossom and its been fun!
@@ColdBwoyy Sure, I just don’t find it that much useful to add it to my play at least
@@ColdBwoyysame here
Wouldn't parts of the spellblade armor boost the magic damage of carain sovereignty even further?
Sadly no since it's an ash of war, and not a spell. The spellblade armor boosts things like Carian Slicer.
There’s a wiki on Elden Ring that explains in detail what every single item in the game does. What question did you have?
Where should i put the 50 points in for stormcaller build? im level 200 so
Just a few nitpicks about the Blasphemous Blade build when you mention affinities for the offhand I would recommend NOT using frostbite.
Just suited my playstyle more
What ashes put on shield in blood tax shield build?
No skill ash of war
@@ColdBwoyy ty man
The jump attack build with Blasphemous Blade is so pepega, gotta love it!
If you wanna cut the jumping part and do nothing but press L2: The new Talisman of the Dread increases Takers Flame damage by an additional 15%
For Bloodfiend's Arm build, why no 2 Handed Talisman or Spiked Cracked Tear(Charge attack dmg)?
You could also do that 👍
For Blood tax shield build, is there any alternative armors for Ansbach set?
The War Surgeon Set maybe?
Hey man can you tell me how you got the uhhh shield bash or whatever skill it was off your fingerprint shield so i can use blood tax with a shield? lmk pls thanks
There is an ash of war you can buy from bernahl called "no skill" that removes the ash of war from an item leaving it empty.
@@SeanCurley-k4e ye i killed him i think lol gonna have to do that on new game +
i like your builds.
but if im using the blasphemous blade im going full takers flame. getting the magma talisman and everything.
Fair enough! I just love power stancing greatswords.
I feel like more damage is better than a slightly quicker casting speed don’t you think?
@@ColdBwoyy I guess that would depend on the level, but I was mainly thinking about clearing mobs. The AoW is good against bosses, so I'll probably just change the talisman before I enter the boss room.
What greatsword would you recommend for that AoW? Claymore or Banished Knight GS?
I think another build that’s super overpowered is the dragon priestess faith/arcane builds, ancient dragon lightning storm does so much damage
on large enemies it's the best but smaller size like other PCs it's not that great. I'm totally in love with Knights Lightning Spear though 😍
@@ryankerins361 true! It’s a lot of rng, I wonder if it’d work on Consort Radahan bc I was able to two shot bayle but he’s a huge boss so🤷♂️ lol
Attach the blade of mercy talisman too with the bloodfiend and endure. If you're already killing poise might as well
Does white mask work with Ansbachs Armor?
It does yes but I think the wise man mask gives you more damage overall with blood tax
Raptor and Claws increases jump attack by 26.5% not 25%. They stack multiplicatively, not additively. 1.10 * 1.15 == 1.265
So basically a litttle bit better than your video suggests 🙂
Good to know! Thanks a lot 🫡
That Royal Knight build is perfect.
It you can survive 30 min on arena, then kill boss with stick not a problem.
i would use any fist weapon in the offhand for bloodfiends arm with endure
so you can proc endure, put on any other aow on the arm and then procceed to bonk
Please can you make a video of all the remembrances best builds? I’d love to see how to use them
for the bloodfiend build, wouldnt it be better to have the twohanded sword talismen instead of the erdtree favor?
100% would be
Do these build good on main bosses?
Yes
You can actually put golden vow on dryleaf arts instead of daggers to save half a pound
Good video very good builds!
Glad you like them! Thank you 🙏🏻
What can I use instead of the ansbach set?
Anything. The Anbach Robes buffs your Blood Tax damage by a small amount so feel free to use anything.
I legit did Carian sovereignity build this morning but 80 intelligence and stats to use claymore. I use carian regal scepter with some op sorceries like night comet
Great setup you have there. Night comet is so good
@@ColdBwoyy claymore is bae. Literally best weapon for carian sovereignty
@@aros3554 I strongly suggest using the lordsword greatsword. It has the same moveset, doesn't change the damage of Carian Sovereignty but does have a higher crit multiplier meaning the critical hits you do will always have more damage.
@@anonzombie6001 uh no. At 80 int and magic infusion Claymore has 773 AR, Lordsworn's Greatsword has 749
And there is major differences in their movesets. Claymore has unique piercing strong attack while Lordsworn's Greatsword has just horizontal swings
@@aros3554 You're literally one handing it. The piercing strong attack is only valid for two handing. Or am I crazy? I'm not arguing the AR is different, just the critical modifier.
I prefer 2 Claymores rather than any straight swords. If we are talking about double swords style.
Can I use this also for the rivers of blood I'm a blood build
Blood Tax is great for shield poke builds
Definitely!

Flame grant me strength and black flames protection do not stack, they’re both body buffs and one will cancel the other out
Where did I say they stack?
concise overview during the intro - insta 👍
Thanks a lot! 🙏🏻
What if i cant get the Red-hot whetblade?
Why can’t you get it?
blasphemous blade❤❤ after two weeks of trying to to defeat radahn I did it thanks to this weapon. .
I will try awesome tha is for the video
13:56 how r u useing both ashes of war
Fr
Remover ash or war from the shield and you get to use weapons ash of war.
14:09 why don’t my shields do that😭
Black Flame Protection cannot be stacked with Golden Vow.
Excelent :)
Why i can't update elden ring to patch 1.13.2 im still in 1.13 can someone help?
Flame, Grant Me Strength and Black Flame Protection are both body buffs and don't stack. (Rest of video was good, I just wanted to point that out)
Did I say they stack? I don’t remember
@@ColdBwoyy You didn't, but you didn't clarify that they didn't stack either :P So I just wanted to clarify that in case anyone got confused. ^_^
Why does your fire on the blasphemous blade look way more… fiery than mine
Might just look that way on UA-cam idk 😂
I wonder if the game devs have people to watch these videos to figure out what to nerf next
With Mage/Knight builds you're better off having enough points towards strength and dex to use the weapon and dumping the rest of them into intelligence. 40 strength was too much and gave you negligible physical damage. You're best bet is to build them like sneaky wizards lol
stormbblade would do way more with howl of shabriri
You forgot crag blade on bloodfiends arm crag blade causes so much more posture damage it out does endure cause most charged heavies one hit poise and allow for critical attacks more often personally tested.
"The Claymore is very strong because it has heavy thrusting attacks which are perfect for breaking an enemy stance" Dude you repeated this soooo many times haha your favorite weapon for sure
I think I said it twice? Definitely one of my favorites
Nice
Thanks!
You nearly chocked on that monitor name didn't you?
I guess
the nerf to Terra Magica was totally uncalled for tbh.
instead of nerfing good spells and weapons, they should buff bad ones.
Great Stars with chilling mist ash of war Will carry you through bosses. Just saying
I use prayerful strike on it since the weapon naturally restored HP on kills plus PS gives you HP for each successful hit. Add takers Cameo to it and you never have to heal
Damn i never even thought of dual wielding, lol
It’s worth it!
I thought the carian thrust shield was the best shield?
Have to disagree. For as good as Takers Flame is it’s not a high poise damage skill. It’s pretty mid when it’s comes to stance damage.
How are you using bloodfiends arm 2H and not using the 2H talisman found in the dlc?? Lol.. literally 15% more damage.
Why does stormblade seem weak?
You should use the white mask as your helmet it gives extra damage when blood loss is in vicinity stacking with LOBE talisman
Ehhh it’s so ugly tho lol
Chicken leg goes best with savage lion claw ash…
