I have a rubber plant, (I call them rubber trees). I had mine inside, but it lost almost all the leaves. I looked at everything I could find and finally I read one person’s blog where they just gave up and put their plant outside and it loved it. You will see a huge, bushy rubber tree on a patio for the blog. Anyway, I did that. Yep. My plant went from six droopy leaves to massive in one summer. My apartment manager sent a letter stating I had to move the plant ( it was by my front door) or give it up. So now it’s on my back patio, which would be à balcony except I’m on the ground floor. No direct sunlight, but bright light all day. In southern Arizona. I watch my plants and when the leaves of the most “delicate” look a little soft, I water. That’s winter. Summer, several times a week. All my plants are outside because my apartment is too dark, and they don’t like that. I can’t have as many as I would like because the fire marshal told the apartment manager that they have to be able to access the patio and balcony in emergency situations. I gave up more than half my jungle to a plant loving friend because of that.
I just use Miracle Grow soils for my plants. It’s just easier that way. I feed with the same brand basic fertilizer. Make it simple! For my citrus I use the spikes for citrus. All my plants are container plants. I love sitting on my patio with them and, according to the office manager, the apartment residences love seeing my plants as well.
I really appreciate that you love plants! They are living beings and thrive on love too!

I keep mines on the patio as well and they thrive out there and I water once a week.

I keep my rubber plant outside. It lives in indirect but bright sunlight and it goes bonkers every summer! It easily puts out a dozen leaves. In only 4 years it grew to 7 feet.

I pruned my plant and it stopped growing. I pruned it and it started growing back in the wrong place 3 times and I pruned those. I'm thinking it doesn't want to grow anymore leaves or branches. Maybe it's working on its root system? If I doesn't grow a new leaf or branch I think I'm going to take your advice and repot it but also, maybe trim the routes to cause it too. What do you think?

The terminal but on my Ficus Ruby doesn't open. It's under grow light. It's well fed and watered. What can be the reason ?

I have a baby rubber plant. Light Green spoon looking leaves. It’s not grown in months. I’m wondering if the pot it’s in is too small. My living room is very well lit. Lots of natural lighting so it’s across the room from the window. So maybe that’s it?

I’m thinking of cutting my rubber tree and propagating new roots because it’s lost a lot of bottom leaves and has a long bare trunk now. Do I just cut it where I want the new stem length to be and put it in something like an empty wine bottle filled with water till it goes new roots? I don’t want to kill it cause it’s a sentimental gift.
