Killer Instinct is a classic fighting game ported to the SNES from an arcade machine. It features an advanced combo system, rich pre-rendered graphics and nicely arranged music. However, the latter two were somewhat toned down in this version compared to the original.
In this movie, Spinal takes down his enemies by slicing them up, hitting them with their own abilities, and (gasp!) making them dance to music! - Ігри

The announcer and soundtrack of this game is beyond godlike!! One of the most time invested games I started with.

Knowing that in this SNES version that Eyedol is a lousy cheat who can break combos just by jumping, it gave me a sense of great satisfaction to watch him not land a single hit.
I also enjoyed Fulgore's defeat while he still had a sliver of health.
My first Ultra Combo was with Spinal, I remember hitting random buttons... I also remember the feeling of happiness after that

I remember hitting buttons during the "vs" screen and hearing the "combo breaker" from the announcer. That's when I read up on the button combos in a cheat book. I was shocked that I found something on accident.
Man this game brings back memories. The black cartridge. Doing combos with orchard and cinder was so satisfying

how can this give you memories if its only a year old? the only TAS that gives me memories is the diddy kong racing one. i think that or the turok 3 shadows of oblivion was the first one i ever watched then i just kept watching more and more.

KI is one of the only fighting games i know where every character is a badass and fun to play as, and kinda easy to use, the combo system was leagues better than other games. Fucking hell, i love this game so much.

If I recall, wasn't that finisher exclusive to the SNES version? The arcade had a finisher for Spinal where a skeleton pulled the opponent into the ground.
But yeah, ironic that Thunder got zapped by a thunderbolt.
It's so ingrained in my mind and that I was expecting to hear "Combo Breaker!" At the Vs screen.

That's the "Humiliation" finisher. It can only be done if your first health bar has not been depleted.

Between Spinal and Cinder, my friends hated playing with me in this game. Probably the easiest rush strikers in the game and this TAS shows how brutal Spinal can be.
My cheesiest move was a 4 hit unbreakable combo with TJ Combo. You low fierce kick, do a charging knee, then uppercut. All 3 hits combo but it wasn’t a combo since it was just 3 attacks. Then the uppercut knocks them in the air so you do the charge punch as they land. Was so cheap lol.

the punch sound in the VS screen mean a cheat code as been entered, I suspect "No combo breaker cheat" (hold left, then b,a,b,a in the VS screen) xD
