Ultimate Starship History ; From Hop to Orbit

- Опубліковано 8 тра 2024
- How has SpaceX's Starship gone from a flying water tower in 2019 to the largest, most powerful rocket ever in just 5 years?
Here is a fun, somewhat stylized animation featuring the most important and spectacular tests SpaceX has conducted over the last 5 years.
Form Starhoppper, to the 150m tank hops, to the 10km belly flop tests, to the integrated flight tests, to orbit, and all the guaranteed excitement in between.
Thanks to all the great UA-cam channels that spend so much time and effort documenting the Starship program. I could not make an animation like this without you,

Thank you, Nick! Fantastic job! ♥
WHATABOUT IT HELLOOOOO
Of course! Thanks for watching! You rock too 😉
Wow, now we have the full compilation. Looks amazing!
Thanks, finally up to date!
Nice to see how far we've come along in this endeavour!
It's been quite the journey
@@NickHenning3D Mahalo for bringing all along! Aloha!
This is great! Going to have to watch it 400 more times.
What a wonderful recap. So many milestones to celebrate and so many more to come.
Thanks and well said. This is just starting!
When the world needed him most, he returned
What a fun and fantastic animation! You did a great job!
Thank you so much!
Awesome
Thanks you
Looking back, it is wild they let 24/7 fly.
Also, very good attention to detail, especially with the rotating grid fins during hot staging
As soon as the next IFT launches you’re immediately allowed to make fun of the previous one.
High chance of an RUD on the pad for sure
This was awesome! Thank you Nick!
apart from some date errors here and there, this is great.
Good job.
Thanks. Can't belive some still slipped through.
Very nice!
Thanks!
That was awesome! Great job dude. 👍
Beautiful, wonderful, amazing work Nic. Totally enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing
Finally! Great video, can't wait to see more!
Amazing work!
Gotta say, well done. I really enjoyed it. Keep it comin.
Thanks, it is great to see the progress.
Well done man :)
Love the detail you out into the stage zero at each point ❤ amazing work thank you for taking the time to put this together
It's almost as important as the ship. Thanks
Incredible!!! Must watch for all ages
Great job!!! I love the details and the small "memory highlights" like the drone at first full stack.
Thanks a bunch!
This is th most fun I had watching a video in along time. Thanks so much for all the hard work to bring this to us.
Wow, thank you!
This is awesome
Its incredible how far water towers have come!
And fantastic work on the animation and models!
Thank you very much!
This is so awesome!! Those flame and dust simulations are so nice, and those model textures are fantastic! Great work!!!
Thanks a lot!
I have been waiting for a video like this to get updated and it finally did
Took a bit longer than I hoped
Great work
Man WOW all those hardwork you've done dude, this is so amazing
❤ Glad you keep the payload bay door open on S28, ift 3
Great work!
Very good work
That must have taken a long time to create and put together. We enjoyed it, thank you!
It was fun though. Thanks!
Two minor errors: B9+ don't have the HPUs, and B7 had two sets of chines, one "normal", one "small"
Also B9 didn’t have the HSR for its first SF
yep
I love the iconic seagull squawking in boca chica
sn10. The first starship to fly twice.
Lol
Fantastic!!! This is incredibly amazing. Good job!
Thank you very much!
Awsome!
That was amazing. Made me giggle, lots of funny moments.
its amazing
Fantastic, congratulations and thank you!
Many thanks!
amazing video! :)
The music choice in IFT-2 and 3 is great! I would love to know what they are.
There are no words for how amazing this is. Absouletly incredible. Stunning animations.
Thanks you for the kind words. Glad you enjoyed it.
Thank you for adding this sudden detail 15:06! A lot of people thought it smacked into the ocean when in reality it exploded mid air
It did a Tunguska.
Thanks. Funner to animate too!
Awesome and humorous overview. Superb job! 🎉
Thanks!
awesome
Good job
Sensational Nick, well done 👍
Thanks a ton!
SN4 RUD needs more footage of the methane leak creeping toward the flare stack, the tension was palpable!
You are a true legend
Absolutely incredible, genius mate. Really well done.
Thank you! Cheers!
The "rapid unplanned disassembly" memes 😂
Absolutely incredible
Thanks!
OH HELL YEAH THIS IS WHAT WE'VE BEEN WAITING FOR
Thanks, been a long time coming
Great work! One mistake I found: Starship SN9 launched from Suborbital Pad B, in the animation it launched from Pad A
Thanks! Yeah I got that a quite a few other thing off a bit. Your the only one to catch this though!
Absolutely love this BROOOOOO, it's almost like playing the LEGO games! Great information in an easily digestible format!!
I'm glad you included NSF's camera (I think) being taken out by SN-11.
Thanks for noticing. It is a part of history now
That is amazing work!! I have been waiting for this btw why does booster 9 have a hpu lol?
Thanks. It was an organization error.
Great job!
Thanks!
Excellent work. Earned my subscription.
Welcome aboard! And thank you
Really cool! why no real life footage tho?
Amazing!
Thanks!
Your channel is a positive escape from the stresses of life. Thank you for creating this oasis!
Glad you enjoy it! That's the goal!
Always remember guys, this just the start of many more to come❤🎉
After the sudden black out, you finally came with exciting video
Awesome!
Thanks!
Great video! Hoppy's 1st flight should have been included though. Same with the 1st Raptor static fire with Hoppy since It was the 1st static fire of the Starship program with a prototype.
Thanks. At 16 min. I had to make some cuts.
amazing
Thanks
Nice work
Thanks
@@NickHenning3D you're welcome
Hello Sir.. we gonn need an Update as soon as IFT-3 launch
THE WATER TOWER CAN FLY!
Wowww 👍👍👍
15:45 Ryan Hensen moment there
Awesome! Youve made some mistakes with the dates though, b7's "explosion" was in 2022 not 2021, and itt3 launched in 2024, not 2023 lol
Thank you! Wow after I don't know how many checks I still got dates wrong 🙃. Nice catch!
Correction, Super Heavy BN3 actually performed its 3-engine static fire test on July 19th, 2021 (A.K.A my 15th birthday).
s this a game or where do you make the animation?
All the 3d modeling and animation was done in Maya
Trial and Error, inventing starship is not an easy task, you need many many years of testing in order to perfect, the crew dragon for example when announced in 2014 took over 6 years to put a man on it
These awwww 😔 and WOOO 🤭got me dieing
The cowbell vents on the Booster are a little bit tilted… just sayin
I’m gonna guess that ift 4 might almost be the same as ift 3 but the booster might land and starship will make it pass reentry
I hope so!
I cant beleive it was really 1 year and 8 whole months beteeen the first stack by crane and the first integrated flight test. How did we keep ourselves busy during that time??
It was a dull time.
Look!! it's a grain silo!!!
NO!!!! It's a rocket!!!!!
elon musk _quietly_ : _it's both_
Love the nsf "Water towers can fly" easter egg
Imaging if all of this never failed
Wow! We would be on Mars now
If it never failed it would be way more dangerous.
Nick,Im just gonna say you have a couple mistakes notibly
-SN10 shutsdown 2 out of 3 raptors during landing but you shawed that SN10 only shutdown 1 engine.
But good job anyways
Good eye! Some stuff just slipped through
Just an FYI B9 didn’t have HPUs on the side
Nice catch. One of many errors I misses.
was this made in blender?
I used a lot of different software but the 3D modeling and animation was done in Maya
@@NickHenning3D ok!
Someone needs to make this with the actual footage now
9:57 Shouldn't it be 2022 not 2021?
Oops 😬
Rest in power white pipe.
You labelled IFT 3 as March 14 2023
That was the day
@@Goofyspacenerd it was this year, 2024
@@claytonroyes8141i just realized
Oof
Probably a typo
Why you call starhopper "The Immortal"😂
It's one of the only original tests to survive.
Audience noises ruined this
Great animation but those reaction sound effects are horrible, never use them again.
I think those were real... 😗
@@Scaliad they were added in
Thanks. And yeah some hate em some love em
They were really fun!
@@NickHenning3D I think they were a fun addition, especially hearing Tim Dodd's shouting in the Starhopper part of this video.
unbelievable attention to details! watch out for the launch site upgrades and other starship vehicles during the launches, dents in tanks, etc... I love it! :-)))))
Great eye, thanks!
Just wow
Thanks!
