just finishing up my time in Asia, great advice and i agree with what you’ve said. food and access to bathrooms were definitely the hardest obstacles to overcome. travelling is definitely bearable with crohns !
Hello, Benjaymun. New to your channel. I too have Crohn's and travelling can be a bit tricky be it an aeroplane journey or a simple shopping trip: you always have to plan everything around where the nearest toilet is. Personally, I haven't found that any specific food triggers a flare-up. I still smoke, drink, eat spicy food. I have to sleep a ridiculous number of hours a day tho'. It's such a complex disease, it takes so many different forms for so many people. I've met other people with Crohn's and their symptoms are so different from my own it could be an entirely different illness they're describing. You seem to deal with it very well, dude. Keep it up 👍.
Hey. Thanks for the info. So a few questions. 1. Have you had issues with abscess/fistulas? 2. I had a fistula and I did have stomach issues like regular people but one of my relative did have Crohns so I got tested - Fecal calprotectine came back less than 7 and Sigmoidoscopy only picked signs of infective colitis, so the doctor thought I am clear. Did you ever get a Fecal calprotectine test? How reliable is it?
Hi! I’ve had a couple but they’re were never really an issue. With the fecal test, I’ve had very inaccurate readings where it’s almost 1000 saying my inflammation should be very high, but I was feeling fine so I would have to do another a week later and it would be normal. It’s a good indicator but the best way to test is probably through a colonoscopy
About 90% normal! I have to be careful with some foods but the thing is if I went off my medication I would be sick again. That’s why it never feels like 100%

Brother does potassium level increase in crohns? Also does haemoglobin reduces in this condition?
Aaah man I’m actually not too sure!! I’m not very scientific minded so I really can’t say for sure
Potassium decrease with severe diarreah or even if your glucose intake is to high.
hey Benjaymun which travel insurance do you usually get?
Thanks for sharing so openly. Really appreciate your work! It has helped many people
Hey! I currently use NIB but most of them will have crohns as an extra. I’ve never had to make a claim however :)
Brother one question can I drink beer in crohn's?
Up to you man! I do these days as I’m pretty much symptom free - but back in the day I avoided it all costs
I would probably suggest avoiding it, and having something like cider or ginger beer instead
As alcohol I would suggest to you wine
Brother how crohn's remission feels like does it feel same like cure? N Normal
About 90% normal! I have to be careful with some foods but the thing is if I went off my medication I would be sick again. That’s why it never feels like 100%
You are just like my son, thin good looking guy! A little bit older but still young!
Thank you!!
brother how many times you use the washroom in a day???
These days probs 1-2
