Stelera (Ustekinumab) is a treatment for Crohn's disease. This is the current medication that I am taking to treat Crohn's disease and comes in injection form. This video provides some information on side effects, dosages, and my overall thoughts on this treatment. I will be discussing my own personal experience with weight lifting or any kind of gym work whilst living with Crohn’s disease. Like a lot of people, going to the gym is a core part of our lives and when you’re dealing with a disease such as this one where your energy levels are impacted, sometimes exercise can be extremely difficult. Pentasa (Mesalazine) for Crohns Disease | My Experience
Переглядів 4,5 тис.Рік тому
Pentasa Mesalazine as a treatment for Crohn's disease. This is the first medication that is often prescribed to new patients with Crohn's disease as it generally has fewer side effects than some of the other treatments out there. Most of the comments I've gotten on my previous videos have asked about Pentasa Mesalazine to treat Crohn's disease, and it seems people are naturally concerned especi...

Azathioprine (Immuran) for Crohns Disease | My Experience
Переглядів 6 тис.3 роки тому
I take Azathioprine or Immuran for my Crohns disease. This is my experience with this treatment for Crohns. So what is Azathioprine, well it’s an immunosuppressant drug that aims to lower your immune system which in turn, aims to calm the inflammation throughout the body. I obviously take it to treat Crohns disease, but it’s also used for Psoriasis and Eczema as they’re also classified as autoi...

Living With Crohns Disease | My Experience After 4 Years
Переглядів 64 тис.4 роки тому
I've been living with Crohns disease for 4 years now, and there have been many ups and downs over that time. This video will cover my initial diagnoses, symptoms, the medication (Prednisolone Steroids, Azathioprine, Pentasa Mesalazine, Stelara) I've taken and my overall thoughts on handling this auto-immune disease. Crohns disease is a chronic inflammatory disease of the intestines, especially ...
Trying Biological injections or treatment for 1 year would help put chron's into remission. Some of them are Adalimumab, Ustekinumab...etc
correct! It helped me :))
Just being diagnosed aged 54 ma ass is leaking like fk ass pain is brutal waiting on op to chop out part of bowel fed up with it
Diagnosed with Crohn's for 3 months. I am here for the medicine names and thank you so much for sharing as most of the people doesn't share the name of the medications brand name. My life is upside down right now. Taking Pentasa 2g sachet (granules). I stay well for 5 days and sick for 2 days a week. I am sick of this. Crying right now. Age 26. Lost weight 10 KG in 4 months and still losing. Going through strick diet and feeling like eating nothing. Also I am having stools after 2 days. Not much constipation. I mean my stool goes down easily even after 2 days gap. But my stomachs growls a lot. So much growling happens with the pains come. Its like gas and water are recirculating same area over and over again. Makes huge sounds.
So happy for you being in remission, my daughter is getting tested for Crohn’s disease, had the colonoscopy but they couldn’t see past a section of her bowel just above the appendix, she’s having a special CT scan on December 6th , it’s ether a mess or Crohn’s, she’s also celiac, hopefully she’ll get answers soon, take care mate I’ve subscribed 👍
I also was recently diagnosed with Crohn's. But early identification is better hope and wish she will be fine.
@ thank you for your support 🙏
i took stelara before 8 days and i am bleeding when it is work please tell me
Can you drink coffee now?
Yes everyday :)
I'm over 60 on Pentasa and prednisone and now on azathioprine as well. From your experience what can you tell me about using these 3 at the same time. Thank you for sharing with us. I've really benefitted from your videos as I was feeling so lost. Everything you mentioned I've been going through. May God bless for taking time to share.😊
Such a helpful video! I have Crohn’s disease, and it was tough managing flare-ups. Planet Ayurveda’s herbal supplements gave me the relief I had been looking for. A cousin dealing with the same issue also saw improvements with these remedies. If you’re struggling, these supplements can make a difference!
I am also suffering from severe hemorrhoids from last 10 years. Due to which i have very bad condition at this time.please pray for me.
My Doc has recommended pentasa, azathioprine and prednisone. Plus iron supplements. But still having constant flareups
I recently had a colonoscopy and gastroscopy. Doctor said it could either be mycrobacterium tuberculosis or Crohn's disease since the ulcers are located in my antrum, ileum, and rectum. I know that, in ulcerative colitis, the ulcerations are only in the large intestine. Watching your vlog helps me feel that I'm not alone in my struggles of digestive problems.
Ive gone through multiple meds since diagnosed and now im finally seeming to get healthier i had to quit a lot of drug abuse as well which of course helped but yes this does help crohns p well for me
Really appreciate your information. I've been scared to take pentasa because of direahea and other side effects
I was reluctant but you have put me at ease. Thank you
Hi, how are you doing now? Are you still taking Stelara? :)
Mimosa-Di Capsules and Belgiri powder of Planet Ayurveda are effective formulations to manage Crohn's disease.
Gastrointestinal doctors in Canada are the worst especially at Mount Sinani hospital. They get paid by the pharma companies. Relieve stress.calms chrons
Can anyone summarize the food list? Thanks
I've been taking Stelara since November 2023 and it really helped at first. Then about 6 months later it started acting like a LAXATIVE. It got so bad that I actually pooped my pants which I have never done in my entire life! So I am going to tell my Doctor to switch me back to BALSALAIZIDE DISODIUM.
I took it for two weeks and had to stop because i couldn't keep any food down with the diarrhoea and vomiting. Now I'm on Mercaptopurine instead and works like a charm! 😁👍
Remember you will never get the answers of so called 'professionals' they have been thought to make money, not cure people and run out of business, so what they are in is in the business of symptom-management , not health-care to find and heal the cause, that simply does not make money. Now go back to work minions, and do not ask questions.
I went to normal just taking pentasa after two weeks feel very lucky !! Diagnosed with UC but feel completely normal no need for diet changes this drug really did its job !!
I just watched a couple of your videos man. One from 4 years ago and this one from 6 months ago. Dude you look so healthy and had a huge glow up! Happy for you man 🫡
Ahh that’s so kind bro thank you!! Haha growing up sometimes works well aye, appreciate the comment dude and hope you’re staying healthy too!
Nice information , with this you can also use herbal remedies of planet ayurveda for crohn's disease
Hello friends, I have a question about the precautions that must be taken when taking Imuran. I read in the drug leaflet that taking the drug requires gloves, then sterilizing the hands, isolating the toilet from the rest of the family members, and isolating the laundry as well. Is this true? I hope that someone with experience will inform us.
That is very useful by the way I was diagnosed with ulcerative colon about 2 years ago and my doctor started me with Pentasa when I read the prescription I was afraid that I would die in two months maximum😅 but yeah I'm still alive with a good health.
I was just given this drug, and the pharmacist said that taking Balsalazide with this drug has some interactions. Not sure I see such information anywhere else on the Internet, so maybe good to ask a pharmacist if you're also taking Balsalazide (and of course, anything else, and/or call your doctor regarding taking anything else/balsalazide with this drug, which I will probably be doing, since I was given this drug by said doctor with strangely no information/reason given, except for the side profile of being able to do something regarding Crohn's disease treatment potentially).
Crohns is a beast. Remicade has saved my life x
yo benjaymun recently diagnosed with crohns now on prednisolone 40mg each day and azathioprine Currently 18 and dont want to continue on steroids but currently underweight by 12kgs Do you think stelara might be a be a good fit ill ask the doctor during the next consultation Also due to that ive got perianal fissures too so is it safe to take stelara?
I moved to finland this year and have just been diagnosed last week here it has been quite scary being diagnosed with this while speaking a different language to the doctors and not really understand anything free fluid in my Abdomen and a nasogastric tube still not knowing what my treatment is and having to have my partner translate everything for me wishing you all the best thank you for your video they have helped alot during this time ❤️
Thank you so much! My son is currently at the beginning of being possibly diagnosed and his doctor already thinks of putting him on Humira but there are serious side effects like triggering cancer. I haven’t heard of Stelara since now. I’ll mention to the doctor. ❤Thank u so much for helping us going thru this.
Could you keep doing that? Going back to Australia, picking up a years supply and then going back to Paris? Would that be allowable?
Oh wow, so you took a year's supply
Hello. Do you know any disease which have all other symptoms of crohns. My doc said i have symptoms of crohs but he couldn't confirm it . I also have immense hairfall from all over the body
I had the worst reaction to stellara
My sister 77 has had Crowns since she was a teenager. She swears by Boswellia. I used to have IBS for many years (up to 7 bowel movements/day). I tried Boswellia (375 mg in morning) and I felt better in 3 weeks. One year later I am completely cured.
Great channel on living with Crohns. Also some very good looking videos? Curious what camera you use? How to you color grade/post-process?
Thanks very much!! Hahah so glad you noticed. I used a Cineprint16 film emulator and I’ve shot this on a BMCC 6K with a diffusion filter :)
Have you tried removing fiber from your diet?
Yes it was helpful when I did it!! These days I don’t have tonnes of fibre anyways out of laziness though haha
Fell good meto sufer with chrhons
i am 23 and i think something is going wrong with me i am scared to share it with my family i had a trauma and iam confused,
In the uk they give u local anesthesia; so your still awake. Its ok. Just had bit of pain after polyp removed; subsided after some peppermint tea.
Diagnosed autoimmune gastritis in hospital, and 3 grueling months later I’m getting the colonoscopy. Excruciating stomach/gut pain. Constipation, 60lbs lost, 8000+ Calprotectin, etc. I’m 20 and had this come on real suddenly, and just get worse. Hopefully, this long it’ll get better, and eventually I’ll be on Humira (have arthritis and it worked for me), healthy and happy. Wish me luck
welcome to Europe mate! love the new style and vibe of your videos. the looks and feel is fantastic, also the message is. way to go!
Ahh thanks so much man!! It’s so good to be here :))

I am 31 and live in Melb as well. I have had UC for 4 years but have been on Mezavant ever since and been in remissjon thankfully. But the horrorshow and bloodbath before hopping on medication was absolutely wild. Thank fuck for our PBS here that allows us affordable access to medication and our Medicare.
