I became addicted to the videos from Dr. Berg. There is so much to learn about our bodies, and it is a real treasure to have it explained point by point, so we (who are not educated on the topic) can learn and connect the dots. It would be great if Dr. Berg can cover a topic about nasal polyps and what we need to do in order to get rid of them or to reduce them without the surgery. I believe many people who suffer from allergies or sinusitis have the same problem without even knowing that...
@@Drberg please sir, don’t shut down your channel! Store all of your videos in case “the man” tries to!! Your channel is treasure! God bless you Dr Berg
I stopped Gluten about 8 months ago. Glad I did. I was tested and was told I was not celiac, and not allergic to gluten but stopping gluten has improved my health. I then decided to find out exactly what I was allergic to. I found out I was highly allergic to barley. Then I discovered that barley is added to most wheat flour because it helps bread rise. So I assume it was the barley causing my issue. I then started using Gastro Comfort by NOW pharmaceuticals. This has also helped. Added regular probiotics and small amount of psyllium fiber daily and my IBS seldom flares up now.
In Canada and the US, glyphosate is sprayed on wheat before a harvest because it helps dry it out. This has been for the last 12 years. I think that creates inflammation too. In the last couple of years they started using it in the UK after banning it for many years. Glyphosate is RoundUp and I have a feeling it dries out the intestines like it does the wheat. It's in potatoes too.
I think as a person does low carb with IF they go through healing stages over time. My whole family has been doing this for 2+ years and we have had to tweak it as our symptoms changed and we learned new info. I couldn't do carnivore for the first year but now my body seems to want it. We all feel much better; thanks Dr. Berg!
@@user-vg8ez9cu6u My daughter and I had to take special herbal treatment for gallbladder so we could absorb a high fat diet better; other family members didn't need this. I needed betaine hydrochloride to strengthen my stomach acid so I could break down higher levels of protein. My daughter and I both have to be careful about phytic acid; dairy seems to help me on this. My daughter seems to have a tendency towards developing kidney stones and has special herbal treatment for that. Bone broth seems to be helpful for just about everything. We're all gradually feeling more energetic and better able to fight disease.
What helped me was a three day water fast. Bone broth, and then meals that were a soluble fiber prebiotic, a probiotic and a protein. Ate five small meals a day, and slowly diversified my fiber sources.
Can you give an idea of what that meal may look like You stated meals that were soluble fiber prebiotic ok can you give an example Also you said probiotic meaning like a pill with the meal And then a protein are meaning a meat source??
I’ve followed these suggestions for three weeks. It wasn’t hard to do and most all of the colon swelling has gone down and the colon pain has 99% subsided. Obviously I’m not abandoning the regime yet, if ever. Thanks a million.
Great advice! I wondered why I felt better when following a carnivore and low fiber diet along with fasting. Prebiotics and Apple Cider vinegar, mint and ginger makes my symptoms worse.

From our experiences we have determined that something that you are putting in your mouth is the cause of the digestive problems. Elimination of processed foods and hydrogenated oil helped us. They are full of preservatives that contain major allergens. Resturants almost solely use hydrogenated oils because of the cheaper cost.
That's why I stopped eating out. We did the same as you, cut oil cooking oils, and processed foods. huge difference and I feel much better. It's disturbing those oils are used and considered healthy by the government.

Hi. Please could you expand on your story about the parasite? I recently had a similar experience but doctors won’t give parasite meds. They don’t believe that it could be. What kind of symptoms did you have? Thanks
@@cghrios783 American doctors are horrible and won't diagnose parasites. I don't know what's wrong with them. You have to pretty much search out your own treatment and parasites, find tests, or even just go to a urgent care and get med for the parasite you think you have.

I had c diff last January, was treated with metronidazole. Was tested for toxins, came back negative. Took a vitamin D and calcium supplement a week later, ended up in ER with intense stomach aches and cramping. Was treated with antinausea meds, and ketorolac for pain and inflammation. Took some antacids for really bad acid reflux too. A week later got bad diarrhea again. Got tested for c diff again. Was positive. Was treated with vancomycin. I also took probiotics while taking the vancomycin. When I finished the vancomycin I also started taking the Florstar (2 capsules a day). Was tested 2 weeks later for toxins. Came back negative. I have been taking the Bioplus probiotics and the Florstar since then. It's been almost 9 months since the last test came back negative. I had to pretty much eat a baby food diet the first 2 months after my recurring infection due to how hard it was to digest anything. I cut out all grains except quinoa and rice. I only ate chicken for meat, and very cooked vegetables (nothing that was cruciferous or hard to digest). I slowly introduced 1 new food item every 3 days. I have stayed away from red meats and shell fish/seafood as I was told they were very likely to be contaminated with c diff. My question is, how long after a negative toxin test am I considered out of the danger zone for recurring infection? And should I keep avoiding the red meats and seafood/shellfish? I do eat fish, and poultry. I drink milk and eat plain yogurt. I very rarely eat things containing sugar and haven't eaten any sugar substitutes yet. I eat lentils, beans and nuts. Not eating uncooked veggies yet. I eat a variety of fruits. Have started eating some wheat, flaxseed, almond flour, corn flour. I just don't want to get the infection again. Also, if I take antibiotics again, is it very likely I will get the c diff infection again?

It’s funny because I thought a vegan diet would be good for me but it actually made me the least healthy I ever felt. Turns out I’ve been intolerant to fructans this whole time and avoiding veggies has actually been good for me!
I hope you see this: After 20 years of traditional doctors treating UC and only getting worse we have found a few things that really help. 1. Serapeptase in an empty stomach morning and night 2. Slippery Elm -morning and night 3. Probiotics, rotate through different strains to not over populate with one type -morning and night 4. Marshmallow root - morning 5. Prenatal Vitamins (with iodine) take with food in the morning 6. Saccharomyces boulardii Like all supplements introduce one for a week before adding the next to see how your body responds. Take breaks from use to not build up resistance, and cleanse any overages

I hope you're just joking because meat-only diets will kill you faster. there are other ways to go around fixing colon inflammation without having to avoid eating veggies and fruit. real experts say that humans should consume meat once or twice a week. There's lots of evidence saying keto is a terrible diet. Keto is great for losing weight, but that doesn't mean it's a good diet in the long run. especially for your heart. heck, you can lose weight just eating pizza every day as long you don't go over your calories. This is what keto does to your body, it fills you up faster and gives a sense of fulness so you're not eating much and thus losing weight. Anyway, at the end the day it is your life, you do you, but don't tell people, this is a true fact.
eating only meat is not keto. you two are just misled. Bring evidence like publications if you want to claim something, not by you saying "experts say".

Please do a video on ileostomies/Colectomies and what changes happen to the body, nutrients needed, possible issues that may arise, etc. Similar to how u do a lot of informative videos on people lacking a gallbladder, it would help a ton of people to see videos and series on people without a colon. It totally changes how the body functions, even hormones, so it would help a lot of people, even those with colons bc it would give the info abt colon health and all that organ does. Thanks for considering this!
I had my colon removed due to inflamatory collitis years ago with ileostomy. I got adjusted to it very fast - within months I wa seating almost everything in smaller amounts and learned what caused blockages etc. I avoided spicy foods though. I experinced no changes in hormones and my life was really good. I had a pouch surgery in 2007 which took around a year to adjust to and now my body functions pretty much normal except I obviously need to go to the toilet more often. I think you need to listen to your body and be guided what works for you. Most of the issue usually arise through stress and staying happy and resting when tired is key , for me at least :)
@@GalacticWoman I'm glad u've had a good experience with it. I have not. I started getting prolapses less than a month after surgery and they often occur weekly, if not daily, staying out for 8+ hrs and nearly a foot. I also have a stoma hernia, hiatal hernia, umbilical hernia, and organ prolapses. Anything with fiber gives me a blockage, so my diet is basically meat and veggie juice. I was vegan prior and now my life feels like a total 180. My hormones have been super screwed up bc the hepatic portal vein is cauterized, and this vein helps dump excess estrogen and other hormones into the colon for elimination. Thus mine are not being eliminated properly, giving me a lot of hormonal issues. Thyroid is also affected. I had mine removed due to ehlers danlos syndrome.... This surgery seems to work best for those with IBD, but most I've talked to with EDS often struggle with a lot of complication from this surgery
@@summersalix I am sorry to hear of your struggles with this. I can relate to an extent as my eary days post surgery were not that great with various issues arising which however thankfully settled down later. I am not a medic but have worked in natural health store for a few years so have met many people with simmilar issues although never met anyone with EDS . Regarding diet I know non soluble fibvre is not great for me so i tend to stick with soluable one. My best meals post surgery were potaoes in any form with fish or meat and some carrots . or white rice with carrots ( all well cooked) and plain yoghut or stewed apple. No skins. As the body reuses over 75% of proteins i never worried about adequate protein intake. I wonder if your diet of meat and veggie juice is best- i stopped anything raw as cooked felt better for me despite of the current raw is best narrative. So if you want nutrients have liver once a week - that should do it and the rest make sure its easy digest only. Regarding hormones - thats something only an endricologist can advise i expect based on your specific status. Of course there are herbs that modulate them but these must be adjusted to your specific case too. Personally I dont see anything that is "genetic" as insurmantable- the epigentics may be innits infancy yet but that may change and we may see developments that will assist those who have lost hope of any recovery in the future. The future is still unwritten :)
@@summersalix , I have a colostomy and right now am suffering I believe from an inflamed colon, my guess. I also have a perineal hernia which is rare and will need surgery but I am putting it off as long as I can due to the reputation of mesh. If you divide the onion into two equal parts from the middle from the protruding apex, you will see concentric circles arranged from the largest to the smallest. The anatomy of the intestine is as follows; The outermost is the large intestine, and the small intestines are lined up inside the large intestine. The thick part in the outermost layer of the onion resembles the "large intestine". The membrane of the onion is similar to the peritoneum of the human. The protrusion at the top of the onion resembles the rectum region. Onions can be excellent cleansers for the intestines.

Barley and rye are awful for me as well. I didn’t realize it was in wheat flour

That means you are ghost that only eats meat
eating only meat is not keto. you two are just misled. Bring evidence like publications if you want to claim something, not by you saying "experts say".

Sir this is the best topic I had gone through in you tube
I appreciate a lot the video, thanks a lot 🙏🙏. I'm from morocco, and here we have prickly pear from july to november, and another type of prickly pear (Red like beets and smaller) in winter from december to march), and in these two periods I eat these fruits every day (minimum 4), I have no pain in my colon. But when it's not the season of these fruits I start to feel unconfortable and pain in my colon. These fruits help me a lot, I'm really free and don't make a diet at that time. And the fact that fasting help, yes I agree 100% withe the doctor because during Ramadan (we fast for a month from sunrise to sunset ), even we are eating at night and sleep after my colon is Okay in this period.
I think the inflammation I am now experiencing is from the pizza I ate yesterday. I have searched the internet on perineal hernias and come up with very little.
@@GalacticWoman You are most fortunate. Ileostomies are normally temporary because you end up with a depletion of nutrients. I have had mine 10m's and it has caused disconnection colitis.

You won't regret it! In my opinion, no on needs gluten! I've been gluten free for 4 years.
Hey Shelly, I have exactly the same... That's why I'm looking for this too. Let me know what works for you please...
It's hard to let go of gluten, I love donuts so much, but being off gluten healed my anxiety and my chronic fatigue so it was worth it.
Have you had a celiac test? Start there and then give it up!
Even if you're not celiac, Nancy, going off gluten still has many benefits.
I am not celiac and I am better off gluten. Plus, I'm European and here wheat is non GMO and it's not sprayed with glyphosate and still I was sick while eating it.
Wheat is highly inflammatory, causes leaky gut, depletes B1 etc.
I would also say avoid coffee. From my experience.

Thank you doc so much for sharing.. I've had a colonoscopy and gastroscopy 2 days ago and the findings are tht I suffer from ulcerative colitis and I was struggling with a proper diet.. You made everything so clear... Thumbs up from south africa 👍👍
have you found healing?
How are you now
it happens to me to frequently have inflamated colon and i can say for sure that fasting works because that's how i fix it every time, recently i tried also yogurt with active bacterias and it helped, i had such terrible pains that i couldn't move anymore, fasting 24 hrs helped me to recover to normal
try eating only beef, no spices no juice no alcohol, for the rest of your life. it worked for me, it'll work for you. but you're probably not strong enough to do that.
@@stuart6478 a proper diet and exercise combined is a good life style ! regarding my problem is that sometimes i eat a few several bad things that leads to inflammation, it doesn't happen every day

I have been diagnosed with diverticulitis. My ND recommended 100mg of L-Glutamine daily. It helps. Thanks Dr. Berg for your informative videos.
Glutamine is excellent but you need ALOT more than that... at LEAST 1000-2000mg p/day.
Buy a bulk powder container (ie Jarrow).
@@Blessed.2.Teach.4God that‘s just 1-2 g. I would say you need 25 g
@@Blessed.2.Teach.4God Wouldn't that much Glutamine be somewhat risky due to the possibility of that much Glutamine being converted to Glutamate & causing issues?
Is the 100mg of L-Glutamine still helping you?

Hello drBerg, your explanation is so well. This episode really informative and helping my dad. I will send it to my dad.Thank you so much and so much Dr Berg.
Glad to know that you liked this post!
Dr Berg? I do fasting and I have been fasting since February of 2023, began with TMAD for 3 months and on to OMAD. I was diagnosed with Diverticulitis the end of June of 2023 then again the beginning of August of 2023. Both times hospitalized for 3 days. I’m so lost and confused with all of this. I do not have a gallbladder, the only time my belly feels calm and relaxed is when I’m fasting. Can you please lead me in the right direction to heal this terrible disease. I thank you so much for all that you do to keep us informed on nutrition and better physical care of our bodies.
My niece has intestinal disease after a month of operation, he still got a smaller vowel daily, hoping Dr. Berg will share again his knowledge on this. Thanks in advance
Your video clips and your advise is so reassuring and are fantastic!
Thank you so much, Dr Berg. You are the best!

I have UC , and give into regular dairy . It just makes me feel worse. Also raw veggies make me feel super sick. Very informative video.

Also, God still heals!

God taught man to use 🧠
Why should God do anything when he gave 🧠 to manifest
The reason why god gives is because he is not selfish like humans are Pray to jesus christ to give you eyes like he sees people not like we do Humans are selfish so prray to be more like jesus christ We all need to be humbled 😊😊

I've drinking mint tea with cut up fresh ginger. It's been a great help to me.
That's nice. Thanks for sharing!
Exactly what I was thinking from the other post, your saying to just stop eating, sounds great
This helped me so much with my eating and colon food to help with my eating habits as well thank you 👍🏽
How long ut took for healing?
If you divide the onion into two equal parts from the middle from the protruding apex, you will see concentric circles arranged from the largest to the smallest.
The anatomy of the intestine is as follows;
The outermost is the large intestine, and the small intestines are lined up inside the large intestine.
The thick part in the outermost layer of the onion resembles the "large intestine".
The membrane of the onion is similar to the peritoneum of the human.
The protrusion at the top of the onion resembles the rectum region.
Onions can be excellent cleansers for the intestines.
Could you share more details please? Thanks!
I've been diagnosed 3 months ago and this video has come at the right time!
Reason I felt so great on Adkins/keto. Have celiac disease. Not to mention GMO sprayed wheat. I'm done! Back to meats primarily!
YOU ARE AN ICON
Thank you Doc Eric, I am really worry about my husband had to do colonoscopy urgent his dr said because in the blood test he had something high 😢. Thank you 🙏🙋♀️
Has he found healing?

Bone broth helps A LOT!
always give me hope doc. Your the best.
Best doctor in the world.
Thank you, Dr.Berg! I really needed this information because I’ve had digestive issues for awhile. I take a probiotic every night to help with bloating.
Which probiotic do you take? I suffer from bloating too :(
Add ACV not probiotics
Me too. I'm bout to go back for blood work for 3rd time because I'm sure it's celiac. I take Pro Em•1. Dr berg suggested it on a video. I'm good as long as I have that. It's $40 a bottle tho.... good luck..
What about drinking aloe juice? I have been Drinking Georges aloe, and this has helped me greatly.
George”s aloe has no sugar.. sorry it didn’t work for you.. I have had great success with it...
Patti Kaye i think that jon banez is thinking of the aloe drinks that are only 10% aloe juice. i know of the georges tho! great stuff! you should try lily of the dessert! very soothing.
vegetables are basically poison. you either learn that and quit your addiction to vegetables or you get your guts removed by doctors. your choice

Wow, this came at the right time ... just had my colonoscopy, I'm 65 and like the majority of seniors we need to take care for things like diverticulitis; most people get it later on in life. The list makes sense e.g. gluten free, but ONE thing I'm missing on the list is making sure to maintain a high fiber diet especially if there are signs of diverticulitis. Then I'd really welcome Dr Berg's thoughts on fiber and colon health ...

I am thriving on your teachings. Thankyou❤
Glad to hear that! Most welcome!
Thank you Dr Berg
