My last 2 nights have been sleepless, full of worry about my transmission going out. nope, both of my bolts were just sitting up there not screwed in. Thank you sir, 4 years later, for your time
I have '95 crown vic and I ran into the same problem. The plastic piece near my adjuster broke off a long time ago but I fixed it. The other day, I had an issue getting my car to actually shift into park. Sure enough, it was one of those two screws in the back that came undone. Thank you for the video. It helped me out big time.
I've got a 2006 Ford escape xlt and just had this problem about an hour ago, no problems with it before. Would not go into park for the life of me and I couldn't get the key out. Center console shifter
On my 96 Ford Ranger, that adjusting wheel just allows me to re-align the pointer in the correct position. Did adjusting yours actually allow your vehicle to go from reverse to park. Thanks

Thanks for helping me out. One of the bolts had fallen out on my 2000 Ranger. Wouldn't of known where to look without your video.
