      Agreed, I shut off my TV service years ago. I’m sick and tired of the evil greed and corruption of the main stream industry.

      That's because this video has what they do not, and honest mechanic with real abilities, and does not have what they do, the stupid commercials worked into their shows. Just a dude out in the heat sweating his bawls off, gettin' it done.
      Former mechanic here. I thought about doing mobile, but didn't want to deal with the weather extremes of a Michigan winter, or a Michigan summer.

    I started wrenching in 1987.. I traveled the country working on Semi's for Caterpillar. I never saw a single mechanic use latex or Nitril gloves, except me. I also owned 2 hair Salons with my wife and had meetings where I did not want to have mechanic hands, so I used latex from the salons. I got a lot of runny looks. No mac,snap-on or Matco sold latex gloves.
    One day in the shop I gave a box to one of the PM mechanics and I told him I would supply him with all the gloves he needed in the shop if he tried them for one week... he loved them.. within 1 years, every Mechanic wore them. It was nice as people lined up to wash their hands, I just walked by, took off gloves and tossed them in the trash and hands looked like I just washed them.
    I worked at 3 other shops and started all those on them.. then the tool trucks started selling them and the last shop actually supplied them ! lol

    Great way of keeping the drive clean, my only fault which I am unsure if you did, you used your impact to fit the wheel nuts but when you use the torque wrench you hit the set of the wrench immediately in most cases, could that mean you are bang on with the impact first or did you skip a bit? The reason for asking is the nuts could be over tightened with the impact, it could be safer if you back them off first to then get the correct torque when you check for the final setup.

    • @QualityMobileAutomotive
      @QualityMobileAutomotive  4 місяці тому +4

      Thank you for watching and commenting I appreciate it! Almost all lug nuts did turn with the torque wrench. I have it set halfway and I just get them snug. I have used this impact long enough to know where to stop and not over torque the wheels. I can guarantee these are set perfectly.

    I use to go on runs with my nephew. Mobile mechanic is not an easy job. Spend a lot of time chasing after parts, waiting for parts. Getting defective parts or parts we had to take back to the shop and work on them to fit correctly. Some customers can be a pain. You fix something and something else breaks a week later and they think you should fix it for free. All kinds of dumb stuff. Try to explain that you can't just change a brake rotor on one side. While other regular customers can be very nice and thankful.
