    Oh so pretty and I can see having different glass tops decorated for seasons or holidays to switch out on the same table!!

      What a great idea! I actually got 2 glass table tops with this, so now I know what to do with the other one.. :) Sounds like a Christmas video to me....what do you think? Thanks!

    I apply decoupage glue over the top. Everything works perfectly until after it dries, I put the top coat on. When I put the top coat on it seems like it shrivels up a little bit. Then I get wrinkles. I'm going for a vintage distressed look, so I just sand it down a little bit... it still looks good. I think I might try the craft iron method next! Thanks again for all your help! You are the best ♥♥♥

      Thank you Lynda! I think you might really like that iron method. It's one of my favorites-if only all surfaces were flat. :)

    "Very Nice," I guess I'll have to decoupage now because this is not the paper mache from back in the day, lol. This is real usable info that looks great.

    Hi Patti I just LOVE this!!! And I just happen to have 2 of those unfinished tables in the garage. . YAY Since I only have about 6 things going on at the moment, I think I'll start on this, too. lol And as always, thanks so much for the great instructions. That table turned out so pretty!! But then... everything you make is soooo pretty!!! And YOU get all the credit for turning me on to decoupage and all the pretty napkins I now have! (TONS!) Love you, girl! :D

    Good Morning Sunshine
    How are you today? Loving this glass top you made. Love the hydrangea napkins, it looks so pretty on top of the black and white. Its just a little pop of color that looks so pretty. I like it with the glass top. Love the pictures at the end also, such a pretty necklace you are wearing. Cute cute kitty * Looks like you had a great time with your family
    enjoy your day Patti, its gorgeous out

      Love having our family all together. Deezie, I was one of those kids who never wanted to grow up and get married or go to college b/c I knew I would have to leave home. I always told my Mom, "But I don't want to grow up and move away!" I also used to think that falling in love meant having to sing everything. My Mom used to have a lot of musicals on when we were little. Singing in the Rain, 7 Brides for 7 Brothers, totally un PC but one of my favorites. I always said I was never going to fall in love because I did not want to sing to anyone and I didn't want them singing to me. LOL/ Back to my family....I am very close to my Dad and brothers and my Dad's side of the family is large but we all get along and see each other on the holidays. It's really something very special to me b/c I know some families can get into fights and squabbles, but on my Dad's side, they're all so laid back and they have an open house policy to anyone. Thanksgiving and Christmas are spent at my 2 different aunts homes. There are about 40 people (all family) at each function. And it's why it's my absolute favorite time of the year. I wish my husband didn't have to go out and plow in the winter. It would be nice to cuddle up by the fire and watch the snow come down. Maybe one day he'll be able to retire-not at the rate our NJ taxes are doing though. Alright I won't get started on all of that ....off I go again.
      😊

      Patti, you are so sweet how you talk about your family, its very precious you are sure blessed*** Enjoy every single second with them. I wish every winter that Rob didn't have to go to work in the snow and that he can stay home and enjoy just watching it in front of a fire. I hope one day too that Rob can do that. Taxes!!!!! I thought we had the highest taxes in the US*** oh my gosh, we have such high taxes Patti and our car and boat and rv tax is even higher. We even have sewer tax. Our taxes are around 9,000 a year. Imagine that. for a raised ranch house. OKay no more tax talk. Enjoy this glorious day Patti, oh almost forgot its hot there :)

      I know it every day that I am so lucky to have such a great family. I sure do appreciate them. We have all discussed during the holidays that very thing. LOL/ /we have to talk about taxes. 9 thou is what we pay per year also! We also don't like that we don't even have kids and we're paying taxes for essentially a broken school system. We wouldn't live here if we had kids since we would send them to school in Princeton (which is only 15 minutes from here) or West Windsor which has a very good school system. You home school too right? So you also know what it's like to pay those taxes. That's why we discuss possibly moving South when we are a lot older. Although I hate to travel, so does Don, and we don't think we would like to travel in the winter months for the holidays. But do you base the whole year on that? The other thing is that right now, there are 2 aunts who host Thanksgiving and Christmas. They both have daughters, my cousins of course who may or may not want to continue having these huge dinners. They are the type to but one cousin got divorce a couple of years ago and though financially she's doing quite well, what if she gets married and her new spouse doesn't want to host a function? (I doubt she would allow that though) She also has four daughters. One or all might get married and she may have other obligations. Oh well, I guess it's something only time will tell. One day you and I will finally be able to talk about how happy we were to finally have our husbands home in a snow storm. :)
      It's a nice dream and keeps me working that much on my videos.

    Love this! Thx for all the instruction! I've done several projects now and I'm loving the results! Hey, does this napkin decoupage glue help with the wrinkling? I seem to have issues when I apply the top coat. Love love love your videos...keep up the good work!♥♥♥

    • @patioelf
      @patioelf  8 років тому

      Hi Lynda and thank you! When you apply the decoupage glue, do you apply it over top of the napkin so that it sinks through to the surface beneath? Or do you apply the decoupage glue, then place the napkin over it? Wrinkles can happen if a space was missed below the napkin with the decoupage glue. I'm going to send you a video I did that shows 3 different ways to decoupage and see if one of the 3 ways works best for you. :)
