  • In this video I sure how I took an old, crusty, scratched and stained table and turned it into a beautiful Cottagecore table by painting her and mixing two Decoupage patterns. I applied the Roycycled Decoupage Papers using the wet method.

lol - we have 4 Aussies, 1 Standard and 3 mini - you can usually see them in all of my videos and lives - or hear them because they never want to be left out... we also currently have 6 pups too lol

    Leesa,
The photo of your finished table caught my attention and so I watched this video.
You have done an amazing job on this table.
    It is simply beautiful!
The only thing is that you need a bit brighter lighting and sharper video. Talk to Debi at DIY paint and see what she is using. I am only saying this, in case you are interested. (Afterall, you are selling her paint, so if you succeed, she succeeds too.) I know that all of this costs money and takes time.
    I wish you the best.

Thank you for watching! I did that video a couple years ago and have since upgraded a few things. I appreciate your comments and help. It isn't always easy getting these videos done and sometimes they are not perfect but I always try to do the best that I can to create videos that will be helpful for people and hopefully encouraging and inspiring. Technology is great until you have issues with it lol but sometimes the show must go on and you do what you can do. :) I hope that you have an incredibly blessed day and I hope you will watch more videos.

Hello Leesa, thank you for taking the time to respond. You are absolutely right. This is a lot of hard, and, at times, very frustrating work (the technology bit. YIKES!). You are doing great. Blessings, back.@@LeesaBooneDesigns

I LOVE the wrinkles! I want to do my kitchen table! It is a round table no leaves and I found it on the side of the road for free! Thanks for your tips!

Great tutorial on decoupage. Applying the medium in small sections is so helpful. My first attempt with a large sheet of paper was a wrinkled mess. I had covered the entire piece with the medium, then laid the paper down. Can’t wait to try out your method. Thanks again for your inspiration ❤️❤️❤️

Let me more, Tammy, how your next attempt goes. I pray you have better success taking it slow the way I showed. I like this method best I think.

Great project but the changing differences in sound made it very difficult to follow. If I put the sound level up to hear the original instructions in the video it becomes way too loud when you do your post edit voice over and I have to quickly go turn it down.

Sorry about that. I just watched the video and I didn’t experience that at all. I’m sorry you had trouble. Thank you for watching.

Can it be done with mod podge/napkins ?

    • @LeesaBooneDesigns
      @LeesaBooneDesigns  Рік тому

you can decoupage with any paper...including tissues and napkins. I have several tutorials doing this. I have a HUGE napkin stash lol. I personally do not like mod podge - but it you use it, I would water it down a bit especially when using thin napkins or tissues.

oh no! I am so sorry - I turned it upside down and used Titebond Glue and a brad nailer to reinforce the legs to the back of the table top.

Paint first, then decoupage would save sloshing paint onto paper.

You can do it either way. Because I sealed the paper, you can wipe away any paint that you don't want. This is a project that I started on a fb live on Roycycled Treasures page showing people how you can decoupage directly onto wood. Then I finished it all to make a video :) Thank you so much for watching!
