@Jacqueline Roberts Can I ask how you grow that thick hide pleeeese? I am super sensative, have been all my life. I dont react at all but on the inside I carry it around for days. How does one toughen up?
It is hard indeed, I am learning myself. I come to the conclusion I can never make everyone happy. I sat and thought why I find these people so important. I found after praying that I was insecure but guess what so are the people who are so critical! Then I focused more on Jesus and I am able to help others become secure. It gets easier the more Jesus shows me the truth of why they say or do such things. Often I feel sorry for them , some don’t know how to love and some are deeply hurt. Therefore I remember how it felt when someone treated me poorly and try to make sure to be there for someone else in that situation.
It is a very lovely plate! For wrinkles, sometimes I start applying the Mod Podge in a small area and then put on the napkin. This way you can smooth out a small area at a time, and then continue adding the Mod Podge and the napkin slowly.
That's a super quick and so easy tip. Thank you so much for sharing.. Hugs 😊

I have an idea to avoid bubbles
☀️ Beautiful Outcome! Using Plastic wrap is a bit easier for me and it keeps the surface from drying too fast/before you're finished working out bubbles or wrinkles. I like it because I can use a roller, rag, or sponge, on the plastic w/o fear of making a flaw on the napkin.
Where I live it can be hot or humid/hot, occasionally I thin the Moge Podge with a bit of water.

Nice work, yet I would apply some dark acryl color like black when it's dry and then a couple of layers of varnish too to make it have more depth and also easy to clean with a damp cloth from the outside.

We cant apply priner ryt, gesso or chalk paint on sides n then color with acrylic paints keeping tissue in middle.
I guess you are asking if we can't apply primer...
In this case you don't need any primer as it's a glass base and we want decoupage image to be clearly visible on other side.

'Fusions Ultra grip ' is the name of glue that another video person showed to keep wrinkles out. It is to be the best. There was another too and called something like 'Servitushnick' ( something like that_) They said that is good to stop wrinkles. They mentioned Mod Podge and they used it but found this other better. Just wanted to mention this as knowing you were not really sure about Mod Podge either.

You didn't finish your project so what happens after the modge podge dries
After the modpodge dries add 2 coats of Varnish ua-cam.com/video/UAruORrUPpY/v-deo.html and ua-cam.com/video/TaABWA_MEDc/v-deo.html and its done!!
i notice on some decopage tutorials they go around the finished edge with fine sand paper instead of using scissors would this be better for you

Mam..after applying modpodge on fixed tissue on glass do I hv to apply varnish
Yes... You need to apply varnish.
Modpodge is a kind of adhesive and Varnish is a sealer which protects your artwork.
Kalai, Mod Podge is an all-in-one product that works as an adhesive, a sealant, and a protective finish/varnish.
It's used 3 times in this project: (#1)to affix the decoupage paper onto the glass plate. Then, when the excess paper is trimmed away, it's used again (#2) to ensure that the paper at the plate's edges is completely sealed. Finally, (#3) it's applied to the decoupaged surface of the plate as a hard protective finish.
Can i use another white glu for this purpose?
I have tried with Fevicol earlier and result was pretty similar. May be you can give it a try and check 😊

What I like best about you video is the appeal to those of us who are beginners. You illustrate that the paper does not have to go on exactly perfectly and the plate is still beautiful.
