    Does anyone else find trucks with big rims and small tires odd looking? I feel like small rims and big tires on trucks looks much better.

    • @kedrshr1mp6
      @kedrshr1mp6 5 років тому +101

      It's not just looks that matter, if you ever plan on offroading or even towing on those huge rims and low profile tires you are in big trouble. Spokes will snap towing, rims will bend and you will get punctures. Low pro's on trucks is a stupid trend that needs to die.

I have a 10” lifted Silverado on 24x14 wheels and 40x15.5s. I daily drive, off-road, pull a gooseneck, etc with it. Nice+lifted doesn’t always mean mall crawler. People automatically say it nowadays. Their next response is “does it even go mudding”? No it doesn’t. It goes off-roading. Mudding is for the beater that I don’t care about because you’re intentionally going out there to screw stuff up. Off-roading takes more skill set than slinging rooster tails

    The bayou by my office flooded the roads so I was stuck at work in my car until the water went down. I lifted my truck shortly after that. My truck has been through 3 floods since then, and that has more than pay for itself. I still daily my car, but I drive my lifted truck when there’s a chance for flooding.

    Yes

    Honestly I love lifted trucks over dropped cars/trucks any day, at the end of the day it’s your vehicle so do what you want to do with it, but you can’t lie, it’s a good feelings seeing your truck standing out from the rest even if it’s a 2wd

    camber is good for handling... i love camber just not excessive camber

    • @hisdevotedchurch
      @hisdevotedchurch 5 років тому

      KING LEO exactly. Camber only looks good to a certain extent. Also, there’s a wide variety of people (kids mostly), that go -12 to -20 camber with horrible fitment. They will just be blowing through tires every 10,000-15,000 miles

    I lowered my NA miata a few inches while still keeping enough ground clearance for easy daily driving, but my car naturally got about -2 degrees of camber in the front and -3 degrees in the rear. Am I a slanty boy?

    • @FitmentIndustries

    • @SMD-si7fm
      @SMD-si7fm 5 років тому

      HanzoJonzo no. Camber is functional up to -3. Once you start getting into higher single digit numbers such as -8 and lower double digit numbers such as -12, you’re just asking to drop $1000+ on tires every 2-3,000 miles.
      Not slanty boy, but functional boy

    Funny how accustomed you can get accustomed to switching back and forth from a relatively low car like a corvette and a truck with a six inch lift. Although the truck is definitely easier to drive in traffic due to the view. Also booby vision is another plus.

    I would compare extreme camber to lifting a truck and not using it for offroad. Function of a truck is much higher if it is lowered if its never offroaded.
