anybody who thinks that Ryan is an annoying or insufferable a**h*le are projecting that aspect of themselves onto him.
from nearly all feedback from various people across various industries, Ryan is a genius level professional who happens to be effortlessly funny and witty, packaged with good looks and a towering physique. of course the petty people would hate someone like that.
Annoying? Fair enough, people have different opinions and some people just won’t like him.
Insufferable a-hole? Nah. I feel like those are the people who try to be outwardly nice but are inwardly very mean and bitter, and assume that everyone else is the same way.
I don’t like to hero worship, I doubt he is and has always been a perfect angel. I’m sure at least one of those people have met him when he had a really bad day and that soured their view. (There are also likely people who met him and thought he was being really rude when they themselves were pushy/demanding and wouldn’t take no for an answer).
But it genuinely seems like he is and tries to be a good person.
Ryan said that he’s 70% sure he did not leak the footage 😉

Just look at Borderlands Movie, a name recognition that has millions familiar with it, yet that movie bombed hard. Character assassination , lore non existence, casting all over the place, relationships well established rewritten.
Look at The Witcher tv series, millions of fans, season 1 proved if its close enough to the source material they will watch it, but Season 2 comes out and the rewritten original characters, changed the story line, change the relationships that is well established...etc
