It's probably the best movie on the list, but it's not that great of an X-Men story. It reminds me a lot of Joker, where it clearly started its life as a different movie that had iconic characters slapped on it, so it'd nominally be a superhero film to appeal to a broader audience.

I think one of the ideas in Logan is that even though they time traveled to stop mutant extinction, it's one of the things in their universe where it's meant to happen, the mutants were meant to die
22:40 the comment about endgames time travel not making sense is nonsense, time travel is a mere theory and it depends on which form of time travel effects you believe in. S: Logan, Days of Future Past A: First Class, Deadpool, Deadpool 2, Deadpool & Wolverine B: X-Men, X2 C: Wolverine D: Apocalypse, The Last Stand F: Wolverine: Origins Hell: Dark Phoenix, New Mutants
I liked how they introduced Oscar Isaac as "the body" at the beginning of Apocalypse. In retrospect, perhaps seeing a glimpse of Apocalypse in full, comic accurate makeup at the beginning and then allowing Isaac to act as himself for the duration of the film after he is reawakened would have been a better creative choice, and made him more menacing and memorable.
17:48 she felt like a different character because in the original trilogy, Mystique didn't even have a character. She just mirrored everything Magneto believed. Jennifer Lawrence was the first time the character had any individually.
I also think Angel's line about the way people look at her is good. And it's interesting. It shows depth. She's not saying it's good, she's saying it's surprisingly preferable for her to be objectified, then to be judged.
Bruh. Here's my ranking: 1. Logan 2. Days of Future Past 3. Deadpool 4. Deadpool and Wolverine 5. First Class 6. Deadpool 2 7. The Wolverine 8. X2 9. X-Men 10. Origins Wolverine 11. The Last Stand 12. Apocalypse 13. Dark Phoenix 14. The New Mutants
Apocalypse is underrated IMO. It has tons of depth, the villain is evil because he is and we don't need an explanation for it. He's like X-Men's version of Satan. Evil because he is. Nice to have a break from complexity and to just enjoy it. Fun action, great Logan tease, great score, Quicksilver is great and Magento is terrific. Can't complain.
It's a hell of a lot better than all the Xmen movies that don't have "Deadpool" in the title. It did what Christopher Nolan did to the Bat to a Marvel film, the closest any other Marvel film came to being [why] so serious was in the very first Marvel film "Blade".
My question is WHERE WAS SABRETOOTH AFTER THE FIRST X MEN FILM maybe In the void but still I think they wasted him in the first film he is meant to be Wolverine’s archenemy

honestly, i would have put Deadpool and Wolverine in S tier because of the deeper meanings behind the plot and all. i wont get into too much detail cus im lazy but i recommend searching into it a bit.
Logan is the comic book movie with a nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay. It's something Dark Knight and Black Panther never did and that's saying a lot.
ill never forget ripping the wolverine origins movie and the file i got was not the final production so the last fight was literally them fighting over a literal green screen and the unedited CGI laser beams. pissed off as a kid; funny and iconic to think about as an adult
I think they never showed colosus off his metal form because, they're "going by the comics" At least in some comics, when he transforms back to human form, he releases some kind of blast which is dangerous. Thats why he keeps his metal form. Also, stuff that force him to revert to human form (example: being stabbed by adamantium) don't activate the blast.
The BIGGEST problem with these rankings is the person ALWAYS judges a movie sitting in 2024. Bro look as a person from 2000. Some films are made for that age only. The old X Men worked coz it PERFECTLY suited that era and thus paved a path for other movies. If someone like you bashed these old films then we would never got the X Men saga in the first place.
@@AnotherNickYTyo, great video. Just letting you know that Logan is not in the same timeline as the revised timeline days of future past sets up. That’s the happy ending. Logan has too many things that conflict with that timeline for it to be the same one. In the MCU, one universe can have different, branched off timelines, so even though it may seem like they’re saying all the Fox movies are in the same timeline, they’re not. Logan’s sad ending is only in that timeline.
I have never watched the original trilogy until I finally got into my 20s. But everything from X-Men origins Wolverine is just pure nostalgia for me. 😅
X men Origins: Wolverine has such a rich story and the acting of most of the characters was absolutely on point. Liev Schreiber played the best Sabretooth possible. I understand that the graphics of the movie were not the best, same goes for "The Pool" the ultimate weapon but that's the point, it wasn't complete. At the least this movie deserves a B tier. It's such a shame that due to some not up to the par graphics you'd put such a movie in such a low tier. Also it's insane to see that X men: First Class is in B tier and X2 is an S tier, that definitely could be swapped.
Logan being the last x men movie is the most fitting in my opinion, X men 2000 started by introducing rogue and wolverine and ending it with wolverine. Wolverine was obviously the most focused on x men in the movies and he was also known as a survivor. Logan shows the end of his story, since hes immortal, everyone else should be dead. Its the most suitable end.
everyone complaining about Logan not being S-Tier.....Womp Womp... I 100% agree with his sentiment, DOFP introduced a story that showed a horrible future and how everyone we cared about was either dead or literally killed off to keep our heroes alive, and does it masterfully, and gives u a nice ending for our beloved characters, only for Logan to come in with its absolutely ridiculous plot, that even DEADPOOL makes fun of. (healing factors don't work like that...) So you are telling me that after all that effort Wolverine went through to save everyone in DOFP, they all die ANYWAYS cuz Charles turned into a decrepit old man? bruh... it had a good action and that's about it, but the plot was stupid and was made to be that way so people who didn't have any investment in the older movies are able to watch it and not care about the amazing characters that came before... simple as that.

ngl i fw the romance between jean and logan, i think they did need to develop it more in the movies but its so much more fitting it being logan then it being scott due to the whole phoenix thing in the last stand
I think X1 does fantastic job at showing these characters and relations between them with a very good comic-accuracy blended with more toned-down live-action suiting sensibility, thanks to directing really quite subtle for this type of movie. It was just perfect live-action x-men for comic fans as well as general audiences. Also First Class is the best x-men movie.

It's probably the best movie on the list, but it's not that great of an X-Men story. It reminds me a lot of Joker, where it clearly started its life as a different movie that had iconic characters slapped on it, so it'd nominally be a superhero film to appeal to a broader audience.
No wonder that cop ticketed me the other day when he asked me my favorite X-Men movie and I said X-Men: First Class.
I just assumed it was a guy in a Halloween costume.
Deadpool And wolverine is SS tier... And it's personaly the best X-men movie ever.🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
Well, Logan don’t exist in the same universe as original X men. They are separate universe and have separate endings. So yeah, we got a happy ending in DOFP.
Logan seems removed from the other movies I mean how could the X-Men be FORGOTTEN or not widely known they are fuckin super heros
X-Men 1 in C with last stand is an ABOMINATION
1. Logan
2. Deadpool & Wolverine
3. Days of Future Past
4. X2
5. Deadpool

This sentence by itself made lock down much more bearable.

Listen to this one line and watch all your problems melt away.
Best sentence ever to come out of the mouth of an X men actor.

Top Tier: X-Men Days of Future Past, Logan, X2, Deadpool
Excellent: X-Men First Class, Deadpool and Wolverine, X-Men Apocalypse (Yes, i said it)
Very Good: X-Men, The Wolverine, Deadpool 2
Good: X-Men 3: First Class
Okay: X-Men Origins: Wolverine, X-Men Dark Phoenix
Bad: The New Mutants
i think X Men 1 is kinda under rated its good until the end where it looks like they ran out of money for FX.
you didn't mention the Wolverine cameo in X-Men: First Class who delivers the greatest line in the franchise
You underrated just wanna say. Was watching some of your videos, thinkin' it's some large UA-camr, checked and saw the 9k sub count. You deserve way more tbh.
Thank you!

This guy put Justice League Snyder Cut in S tier in his DCEU rankings and then he didn’t put Logan in S Tier here. Yeah never let this guy cook.
35:22 I think the whole point of the movie is that the mutant kind isn’t dead and theres always hope no matter how much tragedy and trauma a person or people goes through.
Deadpool & Wolverine and Logan not being in S tier is criminal
Fun fact: the first X-Men movie came out on the exact day I was born: July 14, 2000

its a crime not to put logan in s tier
Hot take, I like X-Men Origins : Wolverine. Yeah it has it's problems but it's one of my guilty pleasure movies that never bores me.
Here's my ranking:
1. First Class
2. Logan
3. Days of Future Past
4. X2
5. Deadpool and Wolverine
6. Deadpool
7. Deadpool 2
8. The Wolverine
9. X-Men Origins : Wolverine
10. X-Men
11. Apocalypse
12. The Last Stand
13. The New Mutants
14. Dark Phoenix
Every change you make in the past creating a new timeline is just as plausible as there being only one timeline that changes depending on what you alter in the past
S: Logan, Days of Future Past
A: First Class, Deadpool, Deadpool 2, Deadpool & Wolverine
B: X-Men, X2
C: Wolverine
D: Apocalypse, The Last Stand
F: Wolverine: Origins
Hell: Dark Phoenix, New Mutants
I like x men origins WOLVERINE even though the CGI looks kinda trash I still like the action and just Jack Hugh man
Bruh.
Here's my ranking:
1. Logan
2. Days of Future Past
3. Deadpool
4. Deadpool and Wolverine
5. First Class
6. Deadpool 2
7. The Wolverine
8. X2
9. X-Men
10. Origins Wolverine
11. The Last Stand
12. Apocalypse
13. Dark Phoenix
14. The New Mutants
YOUR RANKING SUCKS 🤮🤮🤮
Apocalypse is underrated IMO. It has tons of depth, the villain is evil because he is and we don't need an explanation for it. He's like X-Men's version of Satan. Evil because he is. Nice to have a break from complexity and to just enjoy it. Fun action, great Logan tease, great score, Quicksilver is great and Magento is terrific. Can't complain.
5:26 They absolutely nailed Wolverine's hair here 👌🏼
No way bro didn't put Logan in s tier sure it wasn't as cool as some of the other X Men films but I deserves S Teir
It's a hell of a lot better than all the Xmen movies that don't have "Deadpool" in the title. It did what Christopher Nolan did to the Bat to a Marvel film, the closest any other Marvel film came to being [why] so serious was in the very first Marvel film "Blade".
Most people were click baited by your "deadpool bad" thumbnail.
Cool video, nice tier list - keep them coming :)
INSTANTLY seeing Logan under “mid” in your thumbnail, are you trying to piss people off?
How can you not mention the Rogue Cut of Days of Future Past?
"It feels like Apocalypse's story had too many storylines." And bro really defended the last stand
Who let you cook? 💀
I didn't think about that side of Logan, and I respect the ranking
My question is WHERE WAS SABRETOOTH AFTER THE FIRST X MEN FILM maybe In the void but still I think they wasted him in the first film he is meant to be Wolverine’s archenemy
Great vid, u just got urself another sub 👍🏻
Never let this man touch a board again
18:13: you forgot the “the mutants are right through there, let us go” line during Shaws attack on the base
Puting any X-MEN Movie above Logan should be illegal.
Bro logan is good yeah but they did the x men dirty in that movie, it's like watching all your best heroes finally get a really good ending in "days of the future" just to be ruined in "Logan" in a horrible way especially how they made the professor kill them 😭
I personally liked First Class and Days of Future Past more. Logan is definitely a masterpiece though and that’s undeniable.

I find this list solid, I agree with most of the scores. I also don’t like the way the comment section is saying don’t let this man cook all because their favourite x men film is a lower tier than they thought it was going to be. To the people hating on nick, remember this list is his opinion not yours.
Why were all the ads different brands of Landry products?
People are so unreasonably biased towards Deadpool and Wolverine rn. Yes, it was a great movie. But I feel like it’s crazy to call it one of the best comic book movies of all time. It’s good. It’s not better than Logan. It’s not better than the other Deadpool movies. I respect your list.
The best one is Logan by far. Followed by First Class and Days if Future Past.
12:11 And if Wolverine claws aren't in the budget you can put 3 butter knives between your fingers.
Deadpool and Wolverine for my opinion is the best x men movie i've ever watch
honestly, i would have put Deadpool and Wolverine in S tier because of the deeper meanings behind the plot and all. i wont get into too much detail cus im lazy but i recommend searching into it a bit.
I just watched Days of Future Past, and all I can say is wow. Easily my favorite X-Men movie.
Logan is the comic book movie with a nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay. It's something Dark Knight and Black Panther never did and that's saying a lot.
He committed a crime by putting deadpool and Wolverine in A tier
The crime was Logan being in A tier instead of S tier!
@@missingbuck also that I just forgot a couple things
xmen 2000 being in C tier and deadpool and wolverine being in A tier is criminal
ill never forget ripping the wolverine origins movie and the file i got was not the final production so the last fight was literally them fighting over a literal green screen and the unedited CGI laser beams. pissed off as a kid; funny and iconic to think about as an adult
Bro, Logan is the best x - men film, and you put DEADPOOL 2 ahead of it and not putting Logan in S tier is crazy
I think they never showed colosus off his metal form because, they're "going by the comics"
At least in some comics, when he transforms back to human form, he releases some kind of blast which is dangerous.
Thats why he keeps his metal form. Also, stuff that force him to revert to human form (example: being stabbed by adamantium) don't activate the blast.
Who let this man near a list
The BIGGEST problem with these rankings is the person ALWAYS judges a movie sitting in 2024. Bro look as a person from 2000. Some films are made for that age only.
The old X Men worked coz it PERFECTLY suited that era and thus paved a path for other movies. If someone like you bashed these old films then we would never got the X Men saga in the first place.
Can we stop to appreciate the quality of this video? This man is gonna be big
Thank you!
12:05. What video is this from?
X men Origins: Wolverine has such a rich story and the acting of most of the characters was absolutely on point. Liev Schreiber played the best Sabretooth possible. I understand that the graphics of the movie were not the best, same goes for "The Pool" the ultimate weapon but that's the point, it wasn't complete.
At the least this movie deserves a B tier. It's such a shame that due to some not up to the par graphics you'd put such a movie in such a low tier.
Also it's insane to see that X men: First Class is in B tier and X2 is an S tier, that definitely could be swapped.
12:43 bro is legally blind, the only reason she used logan is to save her sister. I think also she is the one that gave Logan the wolverine persona
Never let a dolphin cook
(healing factors don't work like that...)
So you are telling me that after all that effort Wolverine went through to save everyone in DOFP, they all die ANYWAYS cuz Charles turned into a decrepit old man? bruh... it had a good action and that's about it, but the plot was stupid and was made to be that way so people who didn't have any investment in the older movies are able to watch it and not care about the amazing characters that came before... simple as that.
14:02 “the pool” -Stryker 💀
Hot take: I was more entertained by Dark Phoenix than Apocalypse
I completely get that. Dark Phoenix has some fire scenes and Apocalypse is a bit of a slog.
S tier Logan, Deadpool and Deadpool and wolverine, days of future past
A tier x2, x men first class, Deadpool 2
B tier X-Men, the wolverine and X-Men apocalypse
C tier x men last stand
D tier new mutants and X-Men dark Phoenix
F tier origins wolverine
Heres my tier list of every film
S-X-Men Days of Future Past, Deadpool, Logan
A-X2, Deadpool 2, Deadpool and Wolverine
B-X-Men First Class, X-Men Apocalypse
C-X-Men,
D-X-Men The Last Stand, X-Men Origins Wolverine, The Wolverine, X-Men Dark Phoenix, The New Mutants
ngl i fw the romance between jean and logan, i think they did need to develop it more in the movies but its so much more fitting it being logan then it being scott due to the whole phoenix thing in the last stand
Logan is probably the best, with First Class being my personal favorite and Days of Future Past rounding out the top 3
Logan and the Deadpool movies carry the x-man mcu
@Another Nick, have you ranked the MCU yet? I'm curious on your takes on them
Logan is S tier
Another Nick: 29:10 "Oscar isaac is inderrated"
Me: THATS OSACAR ISAAC?!?!😲😳
For 8 years i never knew
I think X1 does fantastic job at showing these characters and relations between them with a very good comic-accuracy blended with more toned-down live-action suiting sensibility, thanks to directing really quite subtle for this type of movie. It was just perfect live-action x-men for comic fans as well as general audiences.
Also First Class is the best x-men movie.
Woah woah woah, love the vid....but i got to say the first xmen is very memorable to me and i feel like a lot of people who grew up with the xmen movies
Yeah. I think I'm in the minority when it comes to the original X-Men movie. Maybe I'd enjoy it more if I saw it before X2, but even as a kid I just never wanted to watch the original one.
