I happened on your " TeachMeRV" on UA-cam while viewing "Flagstaff E Pro" RV's and you were setting up the TV antenna. Your instructional video was the best one! I have been researching RV's since 2019. I hope to buy one. In 2024/2025. Since I drive a Honda Pilot, I can only tow 5,000 pounds. Again great presentation!

Interesting. Never would have thought to use that much water. I will think a little more one it. Of course there is now reason I can't stick the cleaning tube down in the tank and do it myself. Good video. Watched the tank flush video first and had to come over and see what I was doing wrong with my toilet.

Hey Batman, love the videos. Questions I leave water in the bowl, when I leave the rv for few days, when opening the rv you get slapped with the smell. I'm using the blue drops. Also unit is new, has only been used for a couple of weeks. Tanks are being dumped everyday. Help me out Batman. Thanks for your time helping us in the rv world
Stop dumping it everyday and use more water when you flush. Let the tank fill to at least 2/3 of a tank full. We are going to be doing another video on this shortly

yep even if you are hauling it home to sit. The moisture in the tank will help keep the tank "moist" and prevent particles stuck to the side of the tank from turning into solid rocks
Hey JR - love the vids and humor. I am a newbie to the RV world and recently purchased my first travel trailer. Been watching your videos to help provide guidance. This may be a silly ask but wanted to fully understand the process.
Are you preforming this tank flush prior to black tank flush and upon arrival EACH time at the campsite/ground or after black tank flush? I saw you mention it was good to leave some water in the black tank. I thought if the trailer will not be used for several weeks +, it was not good to leave water in the tanks?

How many gallon of water is in a standard rv toilet up to that lip line. I'm just trying to figure out approximately how fast my black tank will be full as my sensors don't appear to be accurate. I have 27 gallon gray and 27 gallon black tank.

Hello I have a 2021 keystone pasport 268bh that is reading full on the black tank scanner. It says I have a 30 gallon black tank capacity. I'm trying to clean off my sensor i have RV digester that says to add 2 gallons of water down the toilet then add 4 oz of digester. I followed your method after draining my tanks so they should have been empty. My question is the digester say to fill up my tank so should i need to add approximately 30 gallons or so to reach the sensor and how do you avoid overfilling the tank? I'm worried i could overfill the black tank since the sensor doesn't read correctly.
When I have a tank I am trying to clean I fill the tank from the inside. Just holding the foot valve open or running a garden hose inside the camper down the toilet. We are going to be doing a video on this topic in the future

Hello I need some help I replaced my rv slide out floor but when installed back now when I slide it in it hit the corner frame which makes the sliding hard or noisi. Could you give me an advice. Thanks

New here, I have an old rv I purchased and have no idea how to use the water or toilet. the tank is empty and I doubt its clean. So how to fill and clean it ? as for the toilet so just poor water in the toilet 4 times? then flush 4 times? where does the water go? Im scared it may leak in the wrong bottom of the rv or some. does that water go in the water tank? I haven't found a good video that can show me how my rv functions with the water tank and how to clean it.
Odderless and let it sit full of clean water for 3 days or so. We will have a video on this over the winter

I couldn't see how you fill up to the water line. Is there a separate button/pedal?
By pressing the pedal half way down
On mine you have to put the top of your foot under the pedal and lift up to get the level of water you want in the bowl then flush.
Goodness, how interesting would it be to live in one of these.

Why when I flush my toliet in my camper the flap want open
If the flap is getting stuck open you might need to lube it. I use Vaseline. I have seen where they need to be replaced if the valve is bent or twisted

I'm new. I have my 19" TT parked and not hooked up to anything. I placed a good amt of water in the Clean Water tank thinking I could flush the toilet. No such thing happened. What do I need to do?
Did you turn on your RV's water pump?
Fill fresh tank and turn on water pump like Cameron said
19" ? That's a small trailer. You use a hot wheels to pull it lol
Do you adhere to this same regimen when dry camping?
Recommend it yes. At least when you get read leave to head home fill the tank all the way to help break everything down during the trip to the dump station. Or fill at the dump station to the point that the black tank is full before emptying the tank

Guess over the internet....toilet seal or ball valve seal. Try holding the foot valve down and lubing the exposed black seal with vaseline

Too much water isn't good for septic holding tanks. It's rare that people do use too much water, but it happens.
I used to drive a septic truck. I've seen a lot of shit.
Yep with a septic tank it can be but with an rv sewage tank it does not have the same issues. We tend to get issues with building up of solids on the bottom of the holding tanks

Most rvs have a 2 position foot valve. Half way down fills. All the way down flushes

Why does every camper need a sink at the toilet ??? Without a sink you have more place to take a shit and you can wash your hands in the kitchen ... 1.5 meter walk ....
I guess some folks don't like to wash "shit" off where they eat
