Good for you for thinking outside the box and getting you both a home. You'll be saving a lot on rent now too, which is the icing on the cake, but do make sure that you're putting enough aside to keep up with any van repairs and a new van in future too. I'm looking forward to seeing how the van build comes along and walks with the hound
NO! *We are getting a slow disclosure by one of the opposing 2 ET forces in the solar system.* Governments don’t try to shoot down these "drones" because they know it wouldn’t work. The technology is far ahead of anything we have-they move too fast, change direction instantly, and can’t be locked onto by our weapons. If they tried and failed, it would only confirm that these objects aren’t human-made, which could cause panic. It’s safer and smarter to study them quietly than to risk a failed attack and create more questions. We will see larger crafts over densely populated areas
what an amazing story, but not uncommon i fear. the housing situation in this country is appalling for so many different reasons. so glad you have worked it out and definitely did the right thing for you and your dog , well done hats off to you!!!

My little guy passed away and I miss him so much, he was my little adventure buddy but now I go on adventures myself. You and Rupert have fun out there so glad you have each other!
I bought a van because I don't know if I'll be homeless soon. My Mum owns this place but needs to sell it to fund her retirement. I'm disabled and can't afford market rental prices so would need public housing but Australia is in a massive housing crisis. So the van is my insurance if anything should go awry. I have a Queen size bed in it already.
Smart move. I've spent years in vans in the UK and on the continent. I have a base in Andalucia and stops throughout Spain and France. I'm very respectful and low key and have little problem with parking in the main.
Hi Kev, I’ve just bought a small van because my future is very uncertain. I got a Toyota Alphard. The rental situation is ridiculous….I do wonder how many people are becoming homeless every day. I think it’s loads and apparently that is the main reason for many councils being bankrupt. The thought of living in crappy temporary accommodation and losing my dogs is terrifying so I’ve got the van as an insurance against that. I must say that it’s a nice prospect though…I love being in the van and I’m only 5’1 so a small van works well for me. Good luck with your channel…hoping to start one soon!
What a lovely video. You’re a great chap who loves his dog and doesn’t want to be separated. I wish you the very best. My dog is my best friend and companion.

Dogs live for 14 years, more or less. Why would anyone let an animal, dictate their life? People who have animals, are classed as owners. Nobody owns an animal! They are just the caretaker.
How admiral well done you, a lot of people wouldn’t have thought twice about getting rid of their dog, but true dog owners know that this is just not an option. Life has thrown you a curve ball and you’re showing what you can achieve in such dark times.
I could live in Malaysia tomorrow for my retirement. However, I have two cats which I have had for several years . There is no way I can abandon them. Looks like I'm stuck here if I like it or not.
Sometimes we just need to do what we have to do....I always like to think in a "solution-oriented" type of way...Seems that is what you have done here. Its nice to see tuis video. I just turned 65 years old in November. I have been thinking of buying a van myself... building it out, and living in it while cruising around the country. Currently in a 2 bedroom townhouse....But I just don;t feel its something I will be living in a couple of years from now. Just trying to plan ahead for now....Oh, and I subscribed here...
I really love the way you show a photo of Rupert every time you mention him! I'm laughing because it's really endearing! I've got a staffy and he's the best thing in my life. There's no way I'd ever "rehome" him, for whatever reason, so I completely understand where you're coming from! You're actually living the life I'd love to live, so keep up the good work and thanks for the videos, mate!
Good man. You kept your dog. I got my dog, a beagle called Havan. He's like family to me and rest of us. We got him when he was 10 years old. Just couldn't walk away from shelter when he saw me, howled like a wolf and ran up to me smiling. So I got him on that day. People wanted me to give him back cause he's 10 years old but no. He's been with us for 2 years, part of the family and I even got him his own sofa bed that folds open into a bed cause he likes large beds. He's a character. Hope you all the best mate and someone donates you one of those plush caravans trucks for you and your Rupert. I haven't watched video to full for a long while but I did with yours cause it was interesting. Subcribed and rooting for you mate.
Good for you! Wise decision. I'd be interested to learn the type of places you are staying overnight and whether it's less hassle in the UK to live in a van/camper than in the USA. And last, please show us your dog in the van - he's a cutie.
It's a real shame you had to move, but you sound positive and you're making a life for yourself....and Rupert. LOVE that Ruperts photo was shown frequently too ❤️

👍 Sounds like it is time to clear the containers to increase your freedom.
Stay safe.
What a lovely man you are. You can always tell the worth of people with their love of animals. Rupert is very lucky to have you and visa versa. I wish you both the best of luck. God bless 🙌
There is always one.
@JeremySayers38 Absolutely correct.
@@amandakelly8364 Yeah, there's always someone with an ounce of sanity in a sea of fools, Thankfully.
@@83dudeTrue, dog owners can be the most disrespectful people possible towards their fellow man.
It's really not that deep. But thankfully, we are all entitled to our opinions.
Happy Christmas to you all.
Fair play, you got a great friend in that dog
New subbie here (from Chicago) & I can tell you a few things..
First off, as an animal lover I need to commend you for not giving up your precious doggie in order for you to find an another acceptable & affordable apartment.
2nd thing is has anyone ever told you that your speaking voice sounds EXACTLY like Michael Caine??
I’m closing my eyes & listening to your video thinking Michael Caine has made the video!!!😅
💖Rupert💖is living his best life w/you so please give him a big smooch & cuddle from me, he’s adorable.
Can’t wait to see how your going to build out your van.
...Yep , (Brit ,here) itis very similar to Michael Caine , and maybe to an American ear , even more so. I was waiting for a Cockney , "Not a people know that".(!).
You're right. He does sound like M Caine. But those movies are very old, can't remember them - just the voice.
Well done! Wish you and the dog all the best! God Bless you for being an inspiration to others.
Wishing you and Rupert a great Christmas and a wonderful New Year. God bless you both 🙏 ❤
I loved this video. Please can we meet Rupert in real life? I have just come across your channel and will keep watching. You have made a great decision, you are your own person, and no-one can kick you out. Greetings from down under
Good on you. I’m sure you and Rupert are loving the freedom van life offers..
Thank you, me and Rupert are happy, we've got our home and each other
Thank you for not getting rid of your dog well done hope you manage to do what you need to do with your van I’m sorry you had to leave your house. I wouldn’t get rid of my dogs for anyone or anything. Good luck!!
Thank you.....Kev
Wishing you all the best from here down in New Zealand.
Pets are our souls good luck matey 👍👍
Good for you . I was a truck and bus driver in the music industry for 40 years , and I lived in a self=converted Iveco Daily XL on my off times , it was fine for me so it;ll be fine for you and Rupert I hope . I don't live in the UK anymore , I now have a partner (which was not expected having been single for 40 years ) and we now live together in their 1 bedroom flat in a warm climate
Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Jon, I appreciate your support.....Kev
Yep l always put my dog first.❤ Total respect to you.
Thank you....Kev
I take my hat off to you for not dumping the dog. hope you have a good Christmas and an excellent 2025 God bless you both.
I second that comment. What a nice, well-made Vlog. also, it is most inspirational. All the best to this man and his dog, for 2025 and beyond!
NO!
*We are getting a slow disclosure by one of the opposing 2 ET forces in the solar system.*
Governments don’t try to shoot down these "drones" because they know it wouldn’t work.
As long as your happy enough and healthy what else is there. Good Luck.
Hey man of course you could not give up Rupert! Unbelievable that people would even suggest that, shows their character for sure. My little guy passed away and I miss him so much, he was my little adventure buddy but now I go on adventures myself. You and Rupert have fun out there so glad you have each other!
You can tell Rupert trusts you emphatically....has complete faith in you. I could never let him go either......
God bless you and Rupert ❤
I bought a van because I don't know if I'll be homeless soon. My Mum owns this place but needs to sell it to fund her retirement. I'm disabled and can't afford market rental prices so would need public housing but Australia is in a massive housing crisis. So the van is my insurance if anything should go awry. I have a Queen size bed in it already.
It's a good insurance Brendan, I'm sure you will find a way. Is that you playing the guitar in your video? Kev
hope it works out for you least you have warm weather
Well done, I recommend it totally, Kev
Well done, I totally recommend it, I love living in my van, Kev
Sling in a diesel heater and you’ll for set for winter. You’ll be nice and warm in there bud
Your love & loyalty for your Dog says a lot about you - you did the right thing in my opinion - God bless you
Thank you. Despite the difficulties, I wouldn't change a thing about my decision, Rupert will be with me until the end!.....Kev
Good luck to you and Rupert mate!!
P.S. If I win the lottery tomorrow I'll buy you and Rupert a house 👍🏼
Bless you....Kev
What a lovely video. You’re a great chap who loves his dog and doesn’t want to be separated. I wish you the very best. My dog is my best friend and companion.
Dogs live for 14 years, more or less. Why would anyone let an animal, dictate their life? People who have animals, are classed as owners. Nobody owns an animal! They are just the caretaker.
Many let women dictate their lives
How admiral well done you, a lot of people wouldn’t have thought twice about getting rid of their dog, but true dog owners know that this is just not an option. Life has thrown you a curve ball and you’re showing what you can achieve in such dark times.
What comes across more than anything else is that the bloke just loves his dog! And what's wrong with that? Good on you mate.
I do love listening to people who operate from the heart.
Hope your doing ok 🙏😇
God bless you
Got nothing but respect for you mate. Inspirational. Hope 2025 is a great year for you
Your dog is everything never throw your friend away
I could live in Malaysia tomorrow for my retirement. However, I have two cats which I have had for several years . There is no way I can abandon them. Looks like I'm stuck here if I like it or not.
Good luck to you and your dog. 😊❤️
Thank you for keeping Rupert! He’s family and that’s the most important thing.
God bless you and your dog hope all goes well for you both 😊😊😊😊😊
Sometimes we just need to do what we have to do....I always like to think in a "solution-oriented" type of way...Seems that is what you have done here.
Well said!
Your journey is inspiring to all of us!
Good luck! 🤞 hope you and Rupert have many happy days on the road!🐶🐶
You are so kind
I really love the way you show a photo of Rupert every time you mention him! I'm laughing because it's really endearing! I've got a staffy and he's the best thing in my life. There's no way I'd ever "rehome" him, for whatever reason, so I completely understand where you're coming from! You're actually living the life I'd love to live, so keep up the good work and thanks for the videos, mate!
I know exactly where you are coming from and I wish you the very best of luck and look forward to seeing you go from strength to strength.
Thank you so much!
❤good luck matey 👍
Well done, sir. I admire your freedom of spirit.
Thank you kindly
Life often throws us a 'curve-ball' . . . . . you seem like a pretty adaptable and resilient fella.
Respect for loving your dog so much!
It's a real shame you had to move, but you sound positive and you're making a life for yourself....and Rupert. LOVE that Ruperts photo was shown frequently too ❤️
Thank you.....Kev
Well done Sir. God bless
I just had to leave you a message to say how much I respect you for your courage and fortitude in the face of such adversity. Extremely well done, your indefatigable spirit is an
absolute inspiration. Thank you for sharing your story. Keep going! 👍
Special Man, Special soul mate, Rupert !!!. Total respect. Wishing you both all the best for 2025 👍
Retiring comfortably in the US these days is almost impossible. I'm planning to retire at 59 in another country outside the US that is free, safe and very cheap with a high quality of life and good healthcare. Here in the US more people might face a tough time in retirement. Low-paying jobs, inflation, and high rents make it hard to save. Now, middle-class Americans find it tough to own a home too, leaving them without a place to retire.
Love your, "never would get rid of my dog!"
