The thing with Vergil is, he's not as cocky and stylish as Dante. He wouldn't toy with his enemies like his brother, he would just get straight to it and destroy them in seconds.
vergil is cocky in terms of theatrics, but he does it short while than his brother.

6:46 I don't think that's a good point to be honest, Nero was distracted when Vergil took his arm, we all know that Nero cares about family above anything else, so instead fighting Vergil, he warned Kyrie to keep her safe and not risk anything, which made so that Vergil could take his arm, it's a nice touch, it makes the love that Nero has feel like a weakness at first because it only made him loose power, but the end of the game shows that, as much as that was bad for him, his insistence on keeping his values made so that he reagained the power he lost.
It doesn't matter honestly. With his reaction speed he should have done at least something if Vergil was equal to him in terms of power. But, as we all could see, Vergil did it too fast for Nero to react.
Vergil was so many times stronger he ripped Nero's arm off with a single tug and left him bleeding almost to death on the ground.
We see Nero have high tier reaction speed in DMC4. If that speed with absorbed Yamato couldn't even react to an unarmed dying Vergil, Its safe to say he completely lost that fight.

Have you thought about covering Lady and Trish? We rarely, if ever, see them fighting formidable opponents, so it would be interesting to see how they stand against the series' bosses.

Trish is definitely no pushover
It's a shame that whenever we do see Lady and Trish fight, it's only against weaker, low-level demons. Though, I did like their fight against each other in the anime.
Lady kinds gets fucked against most bosses. Most are gonna be faster than her and she doesn't have the healing factor to survive long enough to do any lasting damage.
Trish on the other hand could potentially get really far. In the dmc2 novel, the alternative universe Trish with Alastor was actually stronger and faster than Dante.
The only question is if OG universe Trish with Alastor would get as busted as her counterpart. We know nothing of the circumstances of the AU Trish's creation or if she was buffed by Void Mundus in any way.
Gameplay-wise, Vergil is easy to use and very powerful~
Cutscene-wise, Vergil ends the fight fast and stylish too then walks towards his destination, less talking tho~

Well it's not even an opinion, it's a stated fact in the dmc5 novel that dmc3 Vergil at full power could defeat sealed Mundus.
It's why Mundus only shows up at the very end of dmc3 to fight Vergil since Vergil was severely weakened from his fight with Dante.
Dmc4 is earliest Vergil but if your saying introduced 3 is

Depends on the assumptions one makes. If we use Vergil as he would've been well...
In 3, he'd uhh... Kill himself, I guess? In 1 he's mind controlled so that's difficult. In 2 he's dead. In 4 he's dead. In 5 he'd.. kill himself, before killing himself again?
If you assume Vergil and Dante swap places instead, well that's more intriguing. Assuming Vergil retains Dante's scaling, then would change a lot.
Let's assume 3 ended with Dante becoming Mundus whipping boy, and Vergil gaining the Force Edge and opening up Devil May Cry.
Well, he stops at 1 for two reasons.
1, he kills Trish and thus Mundus resurrects to full power with no one to stop him in time and promptly curbstomps Vergil.
Or he goes to Mallet Island, as Dante did, but still finds himself crushed by Mundus as Devil Sword Sparda only lets those who have Sparda's blood and humanity use it's full power. Vergil has one, but doesn't get the other till 5.
In 2, Vergil should clear assuming he has access to Majin Trigger. If not, Yamato might clutch a victory against Despair otherwise he stops here.
In 4, nothing challenges him.
In 5, I don't know. Urizen is presumably Dante's Demon half in this timeline, so... I don't know.
Now, if you just pluck Vergil from 5 and drop him in 3 he clears everything with no difficulty until he encounters himself again in 5 where it's 50/50.
0:34 oh dear. 3 is pretty much the same, 1 Nelo is minc controlled, but assuming he fights it off, he can't wield Sparda thanks to the reasons I mentioned above. Assuming he even gets pass Dante.
In 2, he's destroyed BADLY by Despair Embodied and Dante, arguably even Arius.
In 4, he probably clears everything except for Dante and the Savior.
5 is pretty much just 5, except no Urizen or V.
In the universe where they switch, Vergil wouldn't be too power crazed but still be efficient and motivated. The catalyst is Eva saving Vergil instead of Dante. If Vergil was a lawful evil, Dante will be chaotic evil, chasing his fathers power whow he idolized. IMO, this Vergil will be significantly stronger than Dante because instead of stopping Dante, he'll focus on trying to save him at all cost. Honestly, Dante was an Ass in 3. Totally reckless and didnt even care much for Vergil. Vergil will be the opposite and Dante in that will be irrational.
Just imagine a purely driven Vergil in DMC3 mowing down everything to reach Dante. and If we follow this route, He wont kill Trish in DMC1 who resembles the person he love the most that died saving him. He will go after Mundus with more vengeance than anything.
@@RhazOfRheos But even as a young child Vergil was obsessed with Demonic Power. He's always hated humans, even before Eva's death. Her death only intensified those feelings. The prequel manga goes into greater detail on this.
Vergil's hunger for power is an integral aspect of his character. Much like his hatred for humans, he's always had a hunger for power. Even as a child. This is represented well by V who even admits this himself in Before the Nightmare.
Furthermore, Vergil was always a daddy's boy. The entire reason Eva saved Dante and not him is because he was visiting Sparda's grave. Now one must ask why does he love Sparda more than Eva? Strength. Sparda was powerful, Eva wasn't. That's why. Even as a little boy Vergil only respected and loved power.

His mother was a human and he interact with more human(Librarian) than Dante did. Also Vergils Loves his mother more and Dante loves his Dad more. He was just a normal introverted child. The only hate he probably have is towards Dante for always bothering him to fight. But even so, he still calls for his Mom and Dante when they got attacked. All of this can be fund in "The Book of V" manga alone.
If Vergil hates human, Nero should never been born. The worst feeling he has for humans is indifference. The only human he ever killed is Arkham because he betrayed him. Vergil's character is define by his trauma. All that power crazed thing came from that. NOT before. Thats why the line in DMC5 where he said " If our position were switch, will you live my life and you mine" have any meaning. Vergil in the universe if he got saved, his character will be more like V but more reserved and efficient. Dante will be irrational and chaotic.

Hatred is integral to Vergil's character. He hates humans because they are weak. Or did you forget why he was villain for most of his life?
Vergil interacted with librarian as a kid. So? Just because hates humans doesn't mean he can't have positive interactions with them.
His mother being human is part of why he hates them. From Vergil's perspective, Eva abandoned him to save Dante. Another reason to hate humans.
Did... Did you not play DMC 5? The game makes it explicitly clear Dante is the momma's boy, and Vergil is the daddy's boy. That's why Dante hated his Demon half AND his own dad during DMC3. It's why Vergil hates humans and weakness for... Pretty much all the games.
Of course Vergil will call for his mom while attacked by Demons at his father's grave. He was 8 years old! Who wouldn't?
Vergil had sex with a prostitute. Not exactly a loving relationship, especially as by 5 Vergil admits he doesn't remember her or Nero.
The only humans he killed are Arkham, unnamed thugs in the DMC 3 prequel manga, an entire city block and a hospital worth of people (including a little girl) in the DMC 1 prequel novel, and he planned on killing everyone in the Sparda cult if they found him out. Plus, if he succeeded in his master plan in 3 or 5, than all of humanity would be dead. He didn't seem very concerned over this.
Yes, Vergil is defined trauma. And because of this trauma he hates humans. However, he's always been power hungry. There's a reason he loved Sparda more than Eva, and it's not because he's a good dad. In fact, he was described as neglectful and often not being present. Yet Vergil idolized him because of his power.
The line, "If our positions were switched," stems from V (Vergil's humanity) finally outweighing Urizen (the physical embodiment of Vergil's hate and power hungry desires.) in other words, it's because Vergil grew a heart is only NOW starting to question if what he did was the right thing.

I still find it fucking hilarious how you think that a dying Vergil who was weakened after DMC1 can defeat Mundus, but that Nelo Angelo can't.

honestly even giving dying vergil the benefit of the doubt wouldn't he lose to the savior? since it would likely be a pretty drawn out fight considering its size, durability and the fact he's missing the yamato so vergil would likely just drop dead half way through the fight.

Vergil would've finished them off way quicker than Dante because unlike the latter Vergil doesn't mess around or toy with his enemies. He's straight to the point especially when his opponents aren't worth his time.

All the characters in that game are weak as hell compared to the mainline DMC characters (DmC:Devil May Cry characters are city level while DMC mainline top tiers are low end star level which is DMC3 Vergil and high end 5-dimensional which is DMCV Vergil)

@@motivatedstorm3816 I'm putting DMC characters next to DMC characters. Also, it's a game series where characters are fighting and killing shit in badass ways. It's like trying to tell me to not wonder if Speed Racer or Sweet JP (from Redline) was a better driver. If I started debating the power level of visual novel characters you should start getting worried.
