In the novels the way pandora works is that it analyzes your thoughts and turns it into real weapons ( a form of subjective reality) and there is that one scene in the novel where Dante thinks about a demon who can control light(Beowulf) then the box turns into a head that is similar to Beowulf’s then it shoots a beam of light at the savior.
I think DMC 5 did accidentally confirm what happens to his weapons. In DMC4,he did have Lucifer, which used summon blades and had a rose throw for a finisher. In DMC5,he no longer has it, but still has the rose from Lucifer and his DSD gives him similar summon blades as well. I feel he just absorbs the powers from the weapons, and just sends the demons in them back to hell per usual. Which could also make sense since it seems in each DMC game,his DT form gets more and more buffed(except for 1,where he just quickly switched back and forth between it between attacks just to flex),so I feel it gets more and more buffed and op with each weapon absorbed

No, it's confirmed in the audio dramas he pawns almost all his weapons to Enzo, who was his broker before Morisson. Dante having the rose in DMC5 is just a reference. I feel like you don't know how Devil Arms work if you think he "sends the demon back to Hell" If he sent the demon to Hell, then he wouldn't have a Devil Arm. The demons he kills literally become the weapon. It's their soul given a more physical form.

For argument's sake, each time manipulating item slows down time to 10% movement speed each. That would mean time is slowed down by 10,000%, meaning for every 1 sec dante moves, is equal to 1 nanosecond (0.01 milliseconds, 0.1 microseconds). It's Nuts!
My head canon is that Dante keeps the weapons in his office and just never takes them on subsequent missions. As for styles I think he still has them as of DMC 5 but Dante's gameplay would be far too complex, in DMC 6 I think you should have all the styles but only 4 Slots you can switch between.
In the books, Dante's original information broker enzo starts a pawn shop for devil arms, and that is where dante keeps the one's he's not actively using
I’m not sure where I read it but I remember reading that Dante doesn’t use quicksilver or doppelgänger simply because he has such an acute mastery of them that they take basically no energy to use and that they make fights boring
0:5 Corrections, canonically Dante never lost his Styles. He can still use them in 5, in the lore that is, and while in Sin DT you can stop time using what appears to be an augmented Quicksilver. Other than that, most of Dante's weapons are likely in his shop as he does keep some. For instance, Cerberus from 3 he keeps until the Before the Nightmare which takes place a few months before 5. He destroys Cerberus in a fight against Balrog, the same Demon that becomes Dante's Devil Arm by 5. So, yes, canonically Dante keeps some of his weapons and retains his Styles, while selling others. Part of the reason he keeps them is because his Devil Arms attempt to possess their user, which in a CD Drama involving Enzo from Bayonetta, that's exactly what happens leading to Dante quitting selling his weapons because of the danger they represent.
@@ultimamage3 I played and beat it several times. I've even completed Dante Must Die and unlocked Sparda costume. I doubt you struggled through Nelo 3 or Mundus 2 on DMD mode.
I always saw Gameplay Dante and story Dante to be completely different people. Dante doesn't struggle 99% of the time. In gameplay it's not unusual for him to get his ass kicked, his games are relatively hard but when we see him dealing with enemies he never breaks a sweat even if in gameplay he could be one hit from dying. Only when fighting Vergil or Mundus he ever had an issue (and half of DmC5) so it's safe to assume he actually has all styles active at once. I mean see the Chapter 1 cutsxene of dmc3, he pulls all the stops of all the styles back to back.
Maybe the reason that Dante sells his Devil Arms and lose some Styles over the course of the series, other than for paying them heavy-ass bills, is that he doesn't want the fights to end quickly because if he still have them all, no one, not even bosses (Vergil can be an exception) can survive for more than even a minute...
Usually nothing Dante does pisses me off, but if he loses Dr. Faust in Hell, we're gonna have some Demonic Beef. I already see the next game starting with finding Ebony and/or Ivory broken
He still has the styles canonically, he can't really lose those, the only thing he loses is weapons because he sells most of them but we know he kept Cerberus because he fought Balrog with them but styles he still has it's just gameplay wise, Dante would be broken if he had Quicksilver and doppelganger in gameplay

Imo Dante has the styles but doesn't use them. Canon wise there are only 3 opponents Dante struggled with. Vergil, the omniscient guy, and mundus (in counting urizen as Vergil) Canon wise these demons have 0 chance to beat Dante and on top of that Dante loves a good fight. It's almost like kenpachi from bleach. He needs nerf himself to make his fights more fun Dante stopping time and making an army would likely make things very boring, especially since he actually likes being hit to gauge his foes power
Not that it matters, but there’s also the Chrono Heart. Then there’s the Juggernaut form(Dreadnaught+DT), which passively nullifies all damage, even from Savior who is using the power of Sparda. Maybe you could do a video on SMT Dante powerscaling?
It's actually hilarious for the reason why all of his weapons disappear every game. Turns out Dante isn't exactly the best at running his shop, often selling his weapons (except Cerberus for some reason) just to keep himself afloat. If the dude was at least a bit more serious with managing Devil May Cry, then he wouldn't have to sell awesome weapons like Nevan or Pandora... I wish those two will make a return with a good rework.
He does that because ordinary human would get possessed and in order to prevent that happen, Enzo called Dante to do the jobs and after that he take Devil Arms back and selled again to Enzo and repeat. Its part of business
He often sold the weapons for money the only one he never did was Cerberus which was destroyed before dmc5 as that one held a deep personality connection to being his first devil arm

Devil arms are born in two ways: Submission or Surrender. They are the essence of demons manifested inphysical form and in Spardas case, he forged his swords with his power and essence split between the three.
The reason why Dante's weapons from previous titles didn't return in the next entry is because he exchanged them to Enzo Ferrino of Bayonetta, confirmed by Hideki Kamiya in a DMC documentary(and it wouldn't be video game protagonists with them losing their powers in their next adventure; Bayonetta, Kratos, Mega Man, Sora, Ratchet, Jak, Sly, Crash, Spyro, Samus, and Link are other examples). On the other hand, Vergil's weapon of choice the Yamato is stronger than you think; in Visions of V, the blade single-handedly could split time itself including space aside from man and devil. But the multiple weapons containing powerful demons Dante fought then defeated in addition to some of Peak of Combat's lore definitely made me confirm that he is canonically OP as his brother Vergil and nephew Nero.
Fun facts: all weapons that Dante got in games and the novels he keeps them in the vault because Dante knows how dangerous they are and I believe one of his old bounty hunter buddie is looking after them. (I think if not plz correct me)
Quicksilver is pretty specific about not slowing down time, but rather greatly speeding you up by manipulating how you interact with time. I think it's a pet peeve of mine when it's called a slow-time ability instead of a speed-up ability, is all.
for all intents and purposes, speeding yourself up is just the same as slowing down time...kinda like how when the flash uses the speed force everything looks to have stopped or slowed down considerably, either way the effect is essentially the same despite the difference in activation(yourself or the surrounding area) and your peeve is pointless. and if you really wanna play semantics, speeding yourself up IS slowing down time assbutt.
Unlike Vergil, Dante only draws as much demonic power as he needs or feels that he needs at a given time. He relies more on his own power until he knows its not enough. Its why he trusted the Sparda Sword to Trish. Its also why he trusted the Yamato to Nero. Its also why he didnt even bother to pursue the power of devil trigger until Vergil finished him with his own sword in DMC 3. He doesnt like his demon half. But he will draw on it if he has no other options like with Urizen and Vergil.

if im not mistaken within the lore, demons get stronger through consuming human blood, so it makes sense that dante and vergil, and by extension nero, are powerful beyond measure since they have both human and demon blood coursing through their veins. so yeah the sons of sparda are essentially OP, yeah they can still die, but it will have to take one of them to finish the other off considering no other demon has been able to xD
Dude forgot all of Dante's weapons from 1-3, and 5 respectively. The Guitar, Agni and Rudra, the Cerberus Nunchucks from three and the upgrade from 5, Beowolf that was originally Vergil's until the rematch fight on the key lock and you get it off stage to the right, the shogun, Trish's rocket launcher from three and the upgrade turned into a mega lazer in 5, all of the weapons in 2 and most of the weapons in 1.
I uhh probably could've been more specific with my comment on the two special styles gone, I remembered that I thought of Quicksilver being gone if the Geyron species are rare and like a flame, it extinquishes in time and Ragtime is considered something special and Nico can't make more even with the Goddess' help because the horns and arm is not something easily duplicatable so that's why I believe Quicksilver went away so early and as for Doppelganger, Dante didnt seem very...fond of it or the shadow demon and the little pic shows while the copy smirks, he's looking to his side with a neutral look but clearly negative opinion on it and so doesn't desire it and we dont see him even bring up that style so yeah, these two just went away overtime and up to 1.
Basically with all this gear, all Dante needs is to say something like *SwordTrickSwordGunTrickRoyalGunSwordTrick* and every demon instantly gets the spasms 😂
One thing missing. Puff, the Dragon Dante summons in his fight with Mundus, underrated part of that fight, I like to imagine Dante can still summon him since Devil Sword Dante is a fusion of the Sparda and Rebellion.
So this means that the Dante we are playing is handicapped and Vergil has been toyed with by Dante all this time. That explains why he is so obsessed with power. Vergil knew during DMC 3 that Dante would surpass him and the only way he could be on equal footing with Dante would be to obsess in getting stronger. And regarding his styles, based on Nico's journal we can assume they don't last forever, even with a physical piece of a Geryon she says that she's only able to make a limited amount of ragtimes, so we can assume that dante only got a small charge or quicksilver and doppelganger, but eventually decayed overtime
He doesn't loose his devil arms, he pawns them to pay the bills, the only case where he actually looses a weapon is in the prequel to dmc 5 where Cerberus gets destroyed fighting balrog
I always figured a lot of the devil arms lost power over time due to being derived from dead demons That, or Dante keeps them all but starts jobs carrying light cause toting around 87 swords, 15 guns, two bazookas, and a briefcase wear a guy down
I had always perceived Doppleganger style as Dante not gaining any new ability or magic, but rather the demon that is the Doppleganger just decides to fight with Dante instead. Since every other devil arm in 3 minus Beowulf is the demons submitting to Dante's power and becoming devil arms for him to use. And since the Doppleganger is just the one demon, I don't think he could create multiple copies of himself.
I really wonder how would dreadnought look in dmc5 and if he could combine it with sin dt haha. That would look really cool, like a sin dt dante that doesn't fly but walks instead and also has different combos.
In PoC, its stated blatantly that soul are basic nine dimensional. Its not really hard explanation like you found in manga/LN or VN. Its just straight to the point.
Opposed to the 3D bodies of humans/ Devils, each living thing has a 9D soul. A being dying under normal circumstances would end their physical 3D existence, but their soul would still exist among 9 dimensions(a concept real humans cannot comprehend, but can possibly explained mathematically by theoretical physicists). In DMC lore it helps to explain the AP of a character, given it’s stated in Peak of Combat that a demon is capable of regenerating despite loss of their bodies, names, and souls, as long as they persist. One example is how in DMC1 Vergil’s soul was put into Nelo’s body after his loss to Mundus, then Dante kills Nelo Angelo, and after not being able to sense his soul any longer, believes his brother to be completely gone. Yet, Vergil regenerates eventually and returns sometime before DMC4. It’s impressive because characters are able to completely erase things several times beyond the concept of reality itself.
If Dante Sparda becomes Death at the end of a game then he wouldn't need any other weapon or power. No power is greater than Death, even life yields to it. Dante the Grim Reaper. But then. Vergil will become Death as well, even the playing field.
All this and I still refuse to believe that he could beat prime Sparda, lol. Hopefully in a potential DMC prequel about Sparda's fight against Mundus' army we get to see his power. I mean, Dante needed the SDT to defeat a demon who ate the Qliphoth fruit. Sparda managed to do the same with nothing but pure will.
That and Sparda can erase things on a conceptual level: the reason the Seven Sins needed to be unsealed in the DMC3 Manga was because Sparda _literally erased their original names_ and made them unable to exist until they could be partially restored (neither Vergil nor Dante ever give the Sins their original names, Vergil just says "choose a new name" and they do, and that's why they're lesser demons). At no point has Dante replicated the magical feats Sparda pulls rather than using physical force to defeat a demon.

Dante by the time of 5 is already far past demon king level, as he easily killed both Argosax and Void Mundus. Argosax is directly stated to have rivaled Mundus in power even after Mundus ate the Fruit. And as far as we know, Argosax never ate one himself. And yet Dante fodderized him. Void Mundus is just a significantly stronger version of Mundus from an alternate universe who became one with everything. He followed the same path as OG Mundus, but he was never defeated by Sparda. And yet Dante also fodderized him. The reason Dante needed SDT to win against Urizen is because Urizen was just that broken overpowered in the first place.
I think you skipped the DMC3 devil arms, also there was Majin Devil Trigger (which isn't Sin Devil Trigger, we unlock that in DMC5 and DMC2 is before that, as he still has the normal Rebellion in the game). Also, I personally hope for an openworld DMC6. Why make it an openworld game? Because he has a motorcycle, he can run fast and can fly. Another thing is that openworld's have side missions, where Dante could get his previous Devil Arms and iher stuff back as a reward for mission completion.

If another game comes out that shows the difference between them, it could clear the air about that. Though, one difference is that Majin DT has energy blades coming from the arms while Sin DT uses DSD.
@virhilios3789 Sin was unlocked during DMC5 with the fusing of Rebllionnand Sparda into DSD, while Majin and DMC2 obviously came before that as Dante still has Rebellion during those events.

9:15 Source? Saying it is canon without proper evidence doesn't automatically make it canon. I've definitely preached that DMC: PoC is not canon in other video comment sections and it wasn't confirmed to be canon. For now I'll stay by my previous thoughts. The Fandom Wiki which is suppose to only use official sources and statements doesn't have DMC: PoC listed in the canon section. Could be because it's not canon OR the game is still being developed so there is no 100% certainly of its status. I've gone into DMC:PoC discord to searched all messages with the term "canon" and I would sometimes read reply messages or ones that are near them incase they had responses, MIND YOU server mods have to be clarified to not be developers for the game and I've found statements from mods saying the game is canon and other messages saying it's non-canon. Some moderator messages even state that it is an alternative universe that isn't cannon. I saw one mod message saying the game's plot has been approved by capcom but that doesn't confirm it's canon as Capcom are just allowing that story to be used in the game. The same message which is a FAQ (frequently asked questions) then states "you can tell yourself if it canon or not" which is vague and doesn't answer the question.. This is just to get people curious and to try the game which is understandable. There is even 1 server bot posts with the term "canon" in it and the message is about FAQ's. 1) "When does this Peak of Combat play in the timeline? Is it Canon? Parallel Universe, there is no time paradox. Set between DMC3->DMC1->DMC2->DMC4 it is not 100% Canon, why it is not either 0% or 100% canon? Please experience the game and find out how it ties in to the rest of the series." -This is vague and doesn't confirm anything. The "canon" parts they are mentioning COULD be the mainline content's characters OR it could be new Lorebits OR it could be most of the game except for when you swap to characters that normally shouldn't be in the area. Due to the Vagueness I want to ignore this statement and sadly the game's livestream is privated so the video doesn't work for the timestamp linked when the questions are asked and these statements are made.. I also see mentions of DMC: PoC possibly adding a DMC5 character which will throw it even more out of line. If capcom or itsuno confirms it's canon sure but right now I'm still skeptical.
I don't actually think this would be the case. If anything it would probably slow him down. He would probably have trouble incorporating it into his MASSIVE moveset in 5. And probably wouldn't end up using them anyways. Ultimately even if Dante had everything he probably wouldn't get any stronger. In 5 the other styles were just removed just for the sake of fitting it into the controller's amount of buttons for ps players. So canonically Dante should still be using his styles. And forgive me if I'm wrong I don't know all too much about Dante but isn't trickster and quicksilver basically the same?

That's not how Devil Trigger works. Majin Trigger, which is Dante's true Demon Form was planned on turning him evil in alternate version of 4's story. Other than that Dante's unaffected by such things. He never loses control of Sin, in the boss fight against where you play as Vergil he even talks in Sin form. Not only this, but Sin is Dante's humanity and demonic halves perfectly merging together, hence it's his true form. So it corrupting him wouldn't make any sense.

I’m not sure where I read it but I remember reading that Dante doesn’t use quicksilver or doppelgänger simply because he has such an acute mastery of them that they take basically no energy to use and that they make fights boring
0:5 Corrections, canonically Dante never lost his Styles. He can still use them in 5, in the lore that is, and while in Sin DT you can stop time using what appears to be an augmented Quicksilver. Other than that, most of Dante's weapons are likely in his shop as he does keep some. For instance, Cerberus from 3 he keeps until the Before the Nightmare which takes place a few months before 5. He destroys Cerberus in a fight against Balrog, the same Demon that becomes Dante's Devil Arm by 5.
So, yes, canonically Dante keeps some of his weapons and retains his Styles, while selling others. Part of the reason he keeps them is because his Devil Arms attempt to possess their user, which in a CD Drama involving Enzo from Bayonetta, that's exactly what happens leading to Dante quitting selling his weapons because of the danger they represent.

I always saw Gameplay Dante and story Dante to be completely different people.
Dante doesn't struggle 99% of the time.
In gameplay it's not unusual for him to get his ass kicked, his games are relatively hard but when we see him dealing with enemies he never breaks a sweat even if in gameplay he could be one hit from dying. Only when fighting Vergil or Mundus he ever had an issue (and half of DmC5) so it's safe to assume he actually has all styles active at once.
I mean see the Chapter 1 cutsxene of dmc3, he pulls all the stops of all the styles back to back.

Maybe the reason that Dante sells his Devil Arms and lose some Styles over the course of the series, other than for paying them heavy-ass bills, is that he doesn't want the fights to end quickly because if he still have them all, no one, not even bosses (Vergil can be an exception) can survive for more than even a minute...

Where does it say that? Because he's never used the two special styles since 3, he even depends on Bangle of Time and Key of Chronos instead of Quicksilver.

Imo Dante has the styles but doesn't use them. Canon wise there are only 3 opponents Dante struggled with. Vergil, the omniscient guy, and mundus (in counting urizen as Vergil)
Canon wise these demons have 0 chance to beat Dante and on top of that Dante loves a good fight. It's almost like kenpachi from bleach. He needs nerf himself to make his fights more fun

It's actually hilarious for the reason why all of his weapons disappear every game. Turns out Dante isn't exactly the best at running his shop, often selling his weapons (except Cerberus for some reason) just to keep himself afloat. If the dude was at least a bit more serious with managing Devil May Cry, then he wouldn't have to sell awesome weapons like Nevan or Pandora... I wish those two will make a return with a good rework.
He does that because ordinary human would get possessed and in order to prevent that happen, Enzo called Dante to do the jobs and after that he take Devil Arms back and selled again to Enzo and repeat.

The reason why Dante's weapons from previous titles didn't return in the next entry is because he exchanged them to Enzo Ferrino of Bayonetta, confirmed by Hideki Kamiya in a DMC documentary(and it wouldn't be video game protagonists with them losing their powers in their next adventure; Bayonetta, Kratos, Mega Man, Sora, Ratchet, Jak, Sly, Crash, Spyro, Samus, and Link are other examples).
On the other hand, Vergil's weapon of choice the Yamato is stronger than you think; in Visions of V, the blade single-handedly could split time itself including space aside from man and devil. But the multiple weapons containing powerful demons Dante fought then defeated in addition to some of Peak of Combat's lore definitely made me confirm that he is canonically OP as his brother Vergil and nephew Nero.

Quicksilver is pretty specific about not slowing down time, but rather greatly speeding you up by manipulating how you interact with time. I think it's a pet peeve of mine when it's called a slow-time ability instead of a speed-up ability, is all.
for all intents and purposes, speeding yourself up is just the same as slowing down time...kinda like how when the flash uses the speed force everything looks to have stopped or slowed down considerably, either way the effect is essentially the same despite the difference in activation(yourself or the surrounding area) and your peeve is pointless. and if you really wanna play semantics, speeding yourself up IS slowing down time assbutt.

Its underrated how well DMC5 moved the lore forward after being stagnant for so SOOOOOO long.
Unlike Vergil, Dante only draws as much demonic power as he needs or feels that he needs at a given time. He relies more on his own power until he knows its not enough. Its why he trusted the Sparda Sword to Trish. Its also why he trusted the Yamato to Nero. Its also why he didnt even bother to pursue the power of devil trigger until Vergil finished him with his own sword in DMC 3. He doesnt like his demon half. But he will draw on it if he has no other options like with Urizen and Vergil.

if im not mistaken within the lore, demons get stronger through consuming human blood, so it makes sense that dante and vergil, and by extension nero, are powerful beyond measure since they have both human and demon blood coursing through their veins. so yeah the sons of sparda are essentially OP, yeah they can still die, but it will have to take one of them to finish the other off considering no other demon has been able to xD

Dude forgot all of Dante's weapons from 1-3, and 5 respectively. The Guitar, Agni and Rudra, the Cerberus Nunchucks from three and the upgrade from 5, Beowolf that was originally Vergil's until the rematch fight on the key lock and you get it off stage to the right, the shogun, Trish's rocket launcher from three and the upgrade turned into a mega lazer in 5, all of the weapons in 2 and most of the weapons in 1.
I uhh probably could've been more specific with my comment on the two special styles gone, I remembered that I thought of Quicksilver being gone if the Geyron species are rare and like a flame, it extinquishes in time and Ragtime is considered something special and Nico can't make more even with the Goddess' help because the horns and arm is not something easily duplicatable so that's why I believe Quicksilver went away so early and as for Doppelganger, Dante didnt seem very...fond of it or the shadow demon and the little pic shows while the copy smirks, he's looking to his side with a neutral look but clearly negative opinion on it and so doesn't desire it and we dont see him even bring up that style so yeah, these two just went away overtime and up to 1.
Basically with all this gear, all Dante needs is to say something like *SwordTrickSwordGunTrickRoyalGunSwordTrick* and every demon instantly gets the spasms 😂
One thing missing. Puff, the Dragon Dante summons in his fight with Mundus, underrated part of that fight, I like to imagine Dante can still summon him since Devil Sword Dante is a fusion of the Sparda and Rebellion.

I had always perceived Doppleganger style as Dante not gaining any new ability or magic, but rather the demon that is the Doppleganger just decides to fight with Dante instead. Since every other devil arm in 3 minus Beowulf is the demons submitting to Dante's power and becoming devil arms for him to use. And since the Doppleganger is just the one demon, I don't think he could create multiple copies of himself.
I really wonder how would dreadnought look in dmc5 and if he could combine it with sin dt haha. That would look really cool, like a sin dt dante that doesn't fly but walks instead and also has different combos.

In PoC, its stated blatantly that soul are basic nine dimensional. Its not really hard explanation like you found in manga/LN or VN. Its just straight to the point.
Opposed to the 3D bodies of humans/ Devils, each living thing has a 9D soul. A being dying under normal circumstances would end their physical 3D existence, but their soul would still exist among 9 dimensions(a concept real humans cannot comprehend, but can possibly explained mathematically by theoretical physicists). In DMC lore it helps to explain the AP of a character, given it’s stated in Peak of Combat that a demon is capable of regenerating despite loss of their bodies, names, and souls, as long as they persist. One example is how in DMC1 Vergil’s soul was put into Nelo’s body after his loss to Mundus, then Dante kills Nelo Angelo, and after not being able to sense his soul any longer, believes his brother to be completely gone. Yet, Vergil regenerates eventually and returns sometime before DMC4. It’s impressive because characters are able to completely erase things several times beyond the concept of reality itself.
I hope to God that Capcom goes back on the decision to make DMC POC canon.

If Dante Sparda becomes Death at the end of a game then he wouldn't need any other weapon or power. No power is greater than Death, even life yields to it. Dante the Grim Reaper. But then. Vergil will become Death as well, even the playing field.
All this and I still refuse to believe that he could beat prime Sparda, lol. Hopefully in a potential DMC prequel about Sparda's fight against Mundus' army we get to see his power. I mean, Dante needed the SDT to defeat a demon who ate the Qliphoth fruit. Sparda managed to do the same with nothing but pure will.
That and Sparda can erase things on a conceptual level: the reason the Seven Sins needed to be unsealed in the DMC3 Manga was because Sparda _literally erased their original names_ and made them unable to exist until they could be partially restored (neither Vergil nor Dante ever give the Sins their original names, Vergil just says "choose a new name" and they do, and that's why they're lesser demons). At no point has Dante replicated the magical feats Sparda pulls rather than using physical force to defeat a demon.

The Qliphoth Fruit doesn't really matter by itself. It just amps the demons in question to demon king level. Dante by the time of 5 is already far past demon king level, as he easily killed both Argosax and Void Mundus.
Argosax is directly stated to have rivaled Mundus in power even after Mundus ate the Fruit. And as far as we know, Argosax never ate one himself. And yet Dante fodderized him.
Void Mundus is just a significantly stronger version of Mundus from an alternate universe who became one with everything. He followed the same path as OG Mundus, but he was never defeated by Sparda. And yet Dante also fodderized him.
The reason Dante needed SDT to win against Urizen is because Urizen was just that broken overpowered in the first place.
I think you skipped the DMC3 devil arms, also there was Majin Devil Trigger (which isn't Sin Devil Trigger, we unlock that in DMC5 and DMC2 is before that, as he still has the normal Rebellion in the game).
Also, I personally hope for an openworld DMC6. Why make it an openworld game? Because he has a motorcycle, he can run fast and can fly. Another thing is that openworld's have side missions, where Dante could get his previous Devil Arms and iher stuff back as a reward for mission completion.

If another game comes out that shows the difference between them, it could clear the air about that. Though, one difference is that Majin DT has energy blades coming from the arms while Sin DT uses DSD.

I've definitely preached that DMC: PoC is not canon in other video comment sections and it wasn't confirmed to be canon. For now I'll stay by my previous thoughts.
The Fandom Wiki which is suppose to only use official sources and statements doesn't have DMC: PoC listed in the canon section. Could be because it's not canon OR the game is still being developed so there is no 100% certainly of its status.
I've gone into DMC:PoC discord to searched all messages with the term "canon" and I would sometimes read reply messages or ones that are near them incase they had responses, MIND YOU server mods have to be clarified to not be developers for the game and I've found statements from mods saying the game is canon and other messages saying it's non-canon. Some moderator messages even state that it is an alternative universe that isn't cannon.
I saw one mod message saying the game's plot has been approved by capcom but that doesn't confirm it's canon as Capcom are just allowing that story to be used in the game. The same message which is a FAQ (frequently asked questions) then states "you can tell yourself if it canon or not" which is vague and doesn't answer the question.. This is just to get people curious and to try the game which is understandable.
There is even 1 server bot posts with the term "canon" in it and the message is about FAQ's.

The "canon" parts they are mentioning COULD be the mainline content's characters OR it could be new Lorebits OR it could be most of the game except for when you swap to characters that normally shouldn't be in the area. Due to the Vagueness I want to ignore this statement and sadly the game's livestream is privated so the video doesn't work for the timestamp linked when the questions are asked and these statements are made..
I also see mentions of DMC: PoC possibly adding a DMC5 character which will throw it even more out of line.
If capcom or itsuno confirms it's canon sure but right now I'm still skeptical.

I don't actually think this would be the case. If anything it would probably slow him down. He would probably have trouble incorporating it into his MASSIVE moveset in 5. And probably wouldn't end up using them anyways. Ultimately even if Dante had everything he probably wouldn't get any stronger. In 5 the other styles were just removed just for the sake of fitting it into the controller's amount of buttons for ps players. So canonically Dante should still be using his styles. And forgive me if I'm wrong I don't know all too much about Dante but isn't trickster and quicksilver basically the same?
Quicksilver is explicitly a time manipulation ability. Trickster is just movement techniques.

Idk if Dante could handle that much power & items, he is even showing signs of losing to his demonic side when he first enters, is in and last seen in his Sin DT so getting more power & items would probably have him lose it, there's even Dante in DT in MVCI saying the power of the Soul Stone is intoxicating but he's of course himself.
That's not how Devil Trigger works. Majin Trigger, which is Dante's true Demon Form was planned on turning him evil in alternate version of 4's story. Other than that Dante's unaffected by such things. He never loses control of Sin, in the boss fight against where you play as Vergil he even talks in Sin form.
Not only this, but Sin is Dante's humanity and demonic halves perfectly merging together, hence it's his true form. So it corrupting him wouldn't make any sense.
@@BlankEmporium Majin form wasn't the form that would turn Dante evil. In the artbook, it's called the Perfect Devil Trigger, which looks completely different from Majin. Some of its design aspects were used in Sin DT.
