Fun fact only realized then editing this that this Model 3 doesent have the FSD aka as to why it wouldn’t change lanes and such! Though it did have the FSD visualization preview in beta!
Just some tips: Autopilot and FSD only work on roads with lane markings. Autopilot won’t change lanes, only FSD will do that. Only the FSD beta will work on roads without lane markings, even off roads and is much more capable than the public version of FSD. The build quality has been massively improved compared to models from 2020 and before. I have the Mid 2021 M3P and I was also pleasantly surprised and build quality was great and the infamous road noise issues were also not evident. Although, factory dual door seals and better front wheel arch sound insulation would be great.
15:30 autopilot was not activated, that's why it wouldn't stop for the stopped cars! U did deactivate it when u changed lanes. Great video. Nice legs AHAHA jk good quality. Keep going!
Have a paid off 2008 FJ Cruiser and albeit a great vehicle with no major issues, just normal maintenance. Seeing I could sell the FJ for what I bought it for 8 years ago is the only reason I am thinking getting a Tesla. Although we can comfortably afford the Tesla 3 or Y, its the thought of having a payment and no gas savings offset the payments. Ugh.

How have your first few days with your M3P been? I have some kind of struggle going on between choosing the Long Range and the Performance Model 3 - just wonder what is your opinion / recommendation?
@@basti1623 I know it is too late but still lemme throw my opinions in, I would go in the long range model. The reason is that the long range model has 'as the name suggests' longer range than the other two, and that is especially good when you are following the recommended practice of charging it to around 80 percent. You want that 80 percent to be high. Another reason is that even in long range model, you are getting dual motors and the 0-60 or rather performance is quite good. The range difference in between performance and long range is 45 miles, when you put the 18 inch aero wheels on long range model which is preferred. And the long range has close to 100 miles of extra range over the base model. Not to forget that you will be paying extra for the performance model, approx. $7500. And then there lies the question of performance ie. you are getting 0-60 in 3.1 seconds in performance and 4.2 seconds in long range, compared to 5.8 in the base model. So according to me, I would go with the long range model but if you really really want that extra performance then sure there is no harm to choose performance as well. It has its own set of benefits. The most that you will be using is quicker takeoff from redlights. 😂
I like the style and it was a good review, but man your constant head movement with the go pro was making me feel sick. Try to hold your heat more still and make small movements, it was brutal.

Great video review! Thanks! I liked your reaction to the Model 3's acceleration! Ultimately, I see why a Tesla Model 3 is just one of the best cars, and I understand why it's technology is superior, but I am happy with my not-yet-so-futuristic wheels for now! But this Model 3 looks marvelous! Thank you for this review! I got the impression the driving experience was so technologically modern that it was a noticeably different driving experience from a non-EV or a non-Tesla? Regardless, great review. Thank you! Informative and insightful!
Justin great video I’m upgrading to a 2021 Model 3 performance soon very good pov video I drove 2018 performance and a P100D S before they both insane but I don’t think I need a Plaid model S full spec 3 is 65k and Plaid is 140k so I don’t think the extra 75k for being 1.3 seconds faster having a little more room and 81 mile of range
I love the video! But I do think a little bit of silence, Instead of saying out what maneuvers your doing would be better that way I can hear what the road noise sounds like. Otherwise great!

Before I wanted a Tesla and now I need a Tesla. I’m a young programmer (still in High School) so I think I’ll have enough for the Tesla Model 3 after college:
I'm you but from the future (robotics engineer), and let me tell you, a Tesla is definitely great, but then you start thinking about other priorities: a place to live, money to travel, good food, cool gadgets, cruises and holidays, investments and savings, etc. and suddenly a car is the least of your worries! I'd say it's only worth getting a Tesla if it seriously, seeeriously does not cause any financial stress - after all, it's a fancy toy. Any other car will do just fine for a fraction of the price. If you have to sacrifice to get one, then that's a big no-no (for me, maybe you are a massive car aficionado and can justify the price!).
@@VidimusWolf I completely understand where you're coming from and appreciate your comment. When I asked my Finance professor how much you would have to make per year to afford the Tesla Model 3 (I don't need the S Plaid, that's just too much) he said you would have to make 70k/year for it to be comfortable and to actually be able to live. With what I'm going into specifically, Cyber Security, I would imagine making around that/over 70k. But again, I completely understand what you're saying and will take it into account when I get into the Cyber Security field.
@@bubbayugga8164 What your professor said is completely right and completely wrong at the same time. It all comes down to what you personally define "comfortable". For me, comfortable means being able to take my husband out to fancy dinners, gift him expensive warhammer sets and tools (he likes to paint), go on cruises, travel the world, and provide the best I can for my future children. But at the same time, for a friend of mine, comfortable means coming home and playing video games with his best friends without having to worry about anything else. My ideal lifestyle, compared to his, is exorbitantly more expensive. So for me, "comfortable" might be 100k/year. For him, comfortable is about 30k/year. Do you see why your professor's 70k/year figure is completely right and wrong at the same time? So it's all up to your own personal idea of comfortable. You have to figure that out, and one day you will! When you figure it out, based on YOUR finances, calculate how much your lifestyle costs, how much you want to invest for your own future, and then see if anything is left for a fancy car. If there is not enough left, then you either give it up or make a sacrifice for it. The issue is, many people in this world would be willing to sacrifice their future investments or their quality of life for a fancy car, but for all the wrong reasons. It's usually about feeling higher class, looking for approval in other people, feeling "rich". The point is, don't sacrifice something important for something as shallow as a fancy car, you will regret it later on and sadly a car is a massively depreciating asset, not an appreciating one. By the way, I love the cyber security field! I wanted to get into that a few years ago because I find it fascinating, but I guess robots won my heart haha!
@@VidimusWolf Thank you for your thorough response. I see what you mean about how comfortable has a different meaning based on each individual. I think my professor was saying it in general, like given if you make 70k, then you would have x amount of money to spend on a house, x amount of money for other expenses, etc. etc. though I understand what you mean. And for the feeling rich part, that's unimportant to me. I like having expensive things, not to show off. I like nice things :).
Amazing video the thing you missed is tesla will stop its own in autopilot even in red light or traffic or car is stoped front of you also there will be a message when autopilot you have to force you steering wheel to change the lane in the indicator thing when you move it up in autopilot it will move right by its own if down left
I've had teslas for 4 years. They integrate everything so well and intuitively that once u get bk to an OEM you'll realize its button overload. Why have buttons everywhere when u can just put it in one area. And they put the main controls in areas that make sense. Of course not for everyone.
i think that will start to settle out once the larger factories are opened up and they can start reducing costs. They are a bit expensive right now even used i wouldn’t personally pay for the full autopilot which saves you 10,000 thought it does also reduce the resale value of the car
