He's talking crap , he can't tell the between a flatbed truck and a dumptruck. He'll I bet it hasn't even got the pto to operate the hydraulic cylinders for a tipper. Old school my butt.
The world might be going to hell but it’s great to see something as simple and enjoyable as old machinery brought to life again by Bruce He could easily be your uncle and his amiable and simple way of explaining things makes enjoyable viewing.
Bruce, I know you are pretty busy, I just wish you could do more videos for us. As I mentioned before I am 81, but I learn a lot, watching someone with as much experience as you. I am impressed by the patience you display. Wishing you the best from West Texas.
Morning Bill, thank you for that. Sometimes these videos are not the easiest to do, braving the rust, sun, wind, rain , wildlife, travelling ect. It can at times also be difficult to line up filming with the cameraman as he is a lot busier than me. If I could make more videos, I would but there are a few constraints so I really do them as and when I can. Bruce
Love these calm rescue videos. Especially nice to see the different kinds of trucks that were used in Aus years ago. These Bedfords were everywhere in the UK when I was a kid.
Incredible knowledge. Bruce is a born trainer. Feel privileged to watch him work while he continually gives a running commentary and explanation, what a genius ! Thanks!!!
Gooday Bruce! 34 years old from Washington State here. I really related to your friend back in the day who was an absolute champion at stripping off bolts and nuts😂😂 I've been known to have the patience of a orangutan with a 3/4 inch impact gun so these videos really are teaching me a lot
I remember that I voted for us to see this I'm so glad that some of the others agreed we really wanted to see you through this Bruce thank you for coming back to this truck and continuing this content You are an amazing incredible awesome teacher thank you sir I hope you're having an amazing day and you're leaning back maybe enjoying a little no drink just feeling it you know that would be a happy day
🤣🤣🤣 the old burly Bedfords, Austins & BMCs great fun to drive. At various times back in the 60s & 70s ( as kids) we used to use them to take harvest grain to the silos. The old Austins were crash boxes, but a joy to drive. It was this experience where I learned that a clutch was only used for starting roll, after that rev matching. Later got my Army HV license and I freaked the instructor out when we jumped in an old crash box Stud and never crunched the gears, they were still in service (sort of) back then being petrol fuelled, alternate fuelling just in case and had to driven every 12 months. Thanks for posting Bruce, great stuff 👋👋👋
As I've said before, Bruce you are a heck of a mechanic and engineer with boundless insights. I can't thank you enough for showing a similar trick to the valves, i.e. unsticking Detroit injectors. With your tricks I was able to get my 6V53T injectors unstuck for my project truck. Cheers and great to see you tackling beasts in the field again.
Great video Bruce. I like how the motor didn't run as it proves you are human. You have an amazing knowledge of auto mechanics and you went above and beyond to get the Bedford going. It's almost like I am getting an education watching your videos. Well done Sir!
This is brilliant completely therapeutic ......... Bruce thanks , my old man had a Bedford coal lorry/truck , I lived for going off in the Bedford sitting on the engine and hearing the gear ⚙️ change & the air brake
So near! I remember so many TKs and KMs running about when i was a kid, but they were all the 330 diesel. Petrols were rare, but if memory serves right, some fire appliances were fitted with the 4.2 Jaguar engine to spice them up a bit!
How did your eye surgery go mate? I’m heading in for the same thing tonight. I should say thanks for talking about it. That was what tipped me off that something was seriously wrong with my eye last Friday. Having surgery tonight. Thanks mate, Dave
Great video, you gave it a good shot! I've often been tempted to go 24V on the stubborn stuff, but I think the trick would be to energise the coil of the solinoid at 12V and give the starter 24. I feel your pain, I had to go to the extreme of doing a rough rebuild on one engine on my channel (Case 1394 full of water) just to get it to run for a will it start 😂
Brilliant effort anyway, the engine ran briefly and rough. The resistance of the glowing screwdriver would have dropped a few of the 24 Volts to the overheated starter. Great video Bruce. I enjoyed every minute of it. Those bent pushers were probably caused by stuck valves.
Hi Bruce, Nice to see you I hear you have not been well I have only just found out not been to well myself so not been on for a bit, Hope you are feeling much better, It’s a pity you couldn’t get it going but that doesn’t stop me from watching 👀 you it’s great how you try to get the old trucks working, Well Bruce that’s it for now so you take care of yourself and stay safe.🛠️🛠️🛠️👍⭐️👌

I was about 12 when I went off in the school holidays (UK) with my Uncle he drove a diesel TK just like that one, delivering small loads of sand, ballast, sharp sand and shingle, cement. later he drove an 8 ton TK and then a KM tipper and longwheelbase flatbed. loved every minute of it
Great to see you back.
Thank you

Flash shirt for working on an old Beddy Bruce!
@@jesuiskiwi4033 I want to cry when I see that shirt covered in crap and rust. Mrs Bruce must be long suffering in the laundry dept.
I think the clean shirts are Bruce's trademark. If I wore that it would look like an oily rag in no time
