Your ingenuity is concerning and entertaining at the same time. I don't know how your still recording this massacre. Have you no shame!!! Love it and keep it up just don't ask me to help! Love your attitude.
It breaks my heart to see a CJ-5 in that condition. With the clear lensed turn signals in the front grill, it is a pre- 1964 CJ-5. In 1958 it was a standard twelve volt system. '54- '57 was 6 volt. Optional 12 volt system offered in 1957.
If you ever find a car, any year, two-door or four-door that runs and drives and stops that is under $500, I need some transportation. I'm 57 and disabled living with my brother. And I drive a 2003 Buick LeSabre that runs and drives perfectly but the whole front subframe is loose and rusted out and being on a fixed income I can't even save money for a car. I drove $2,000 or less cars all my life so I ain't afraid to tear into things but I just can't do that anymore. I would even love to come out and help you out sometime. I am limited on what I can do though. As long as I don't have to get up off the ground a bunch of times I'm good lol I like watching you guys
This is quite possibly the strangest video I have ever watched. And it’s addictive! To be fair I am amazed at how much punishment these old engines will take and still function. Excellent job
You guys are men after my own heart your true blue Americans just like my Dad ya just woñt give up I'm not American like my dad I'm north american my mom was Canadian the only difference between what your doing and what I've already done is that I did it in snow and thirty below I'm now seventy five yrs old talk about hardship if my dad wasn't american I would never lasted
I just can't look away, nor do I want to! You guys are hilarious and quite ingenious, maybe crazy, on how to solve problems! I'd like to see if this thing can live again! At least as a yard jeep.
He he. Well you have balls taking on a job like that. Wow. That was a jeep at some stage. Nice work, video as always. Thanks. I really enjoy your videos.
Best will it run I’ve ever seen! I Love these old Willys. Have a couple 1948 CJ-2As. That makeshift engine hoist was something else! I Have no idea why I’m still watching, but If there’s one thing I do know, it’s that I’m going to keep watching! You guys earned my like and sub! Great work!
You have to be crazy enough and have time for a project like this. I found it relaxing to watch the whole video. Greetings from Germany, by the way, we prefer our Kübelwagen^^
It's got the battery lid on the front-right panel behind the hood. It's got the panel that can be removed to facilitate a fording kit. It also has the "JEEP" emboss and the underseat tank. I don't see any rivet holes for military plaques, and it has the nice "4 wheel drive" log on the back. It also appears to have the VIN plate still attached on the firewall immediately above the heater box...which is not often found on the driver's side! Anyways, just look at the VIN plate.
Chase and Sanborn used to sponsor radio shows in the old days such as Charlie McCarthy. If you ever listened to radio classics on XM radio he will hear them again. Now what is really amazing to me is how that Jeep got to be so damaged. I wonder what it's history is to have ended up in such a condition? This is been a fun video to watch. Thank you! 😁
if you put back in the old piston rings I am amazed you have any compression at all and at least lapped the valves in to seal compression she a bit of a wreck maybe a few usable parts like the block and head after a skim and a rebore and line bore the rest is basically junk its a shame to see an old jeep die like she has you did your best with what you got well-done guys I was hoping it would at least run for a few seconds but with such a low compression, not much chance I am afraid great video.all the best from john from Rugby UK
I just found your channel and so far I love it 😁 I've cringed and applauded at the same time 😂. I pulled my first engine with a friend of my grandma using his 1956 Chevy 1ton truck with a chain around the front bumper a pole attached to it and chains running to hooks on the roof of the truck 😂. Fun times. Thank you 👍
They have a lot of shaking going on there. Man, that jeep is in very rough shape. I can only imagine it has taken tons of rain. Maybe hearing the engine run would be nice. It does not seam that this engine will be running. Now that is pretty good balanced. I just can't get passed the cracked ring. Getting compression from that ring not likely. And it ran. Seeing it running after all those years. Blew my mind.
i have been in a centipede line of jeeps all hook together. and i have helped in doing what your doing. on the shoe string. made it home around 50 miles back to the road. and then home. the worst thing that happen was. burned up chain saw. o31 my favorite. took it apart clean it new piston and a little honing and he lived. and son in law has it. over 30 years runing.
Great thinking getting that motor out lol work with what you have. But most people don’t have a bed that lifts lol keep up with this kind of content. Your buddy needs to be in more of your videos ..
Hell yeah if nothing breaks your golden,it might burn a touch of oil though......😉 Great stuff guys keep them coming, but pick a hard one next time 😂😂 Amazing watch👌
I had a 56 CJ-5 with the F head like yours around 45 years ago so it has to be late 50s to early 60s. I’m not sure of the last year of the F head but your Jeep is quite the same as mine was
Was some 4 x 4s as cross members from one side of the frame to the other side of the frame driver side to passenger side would hold for a while just a thought ty for letting me share Matt AKA DDP be safe out there My friends and everybody yuuuuup
Your ingenuity is concerning and entertaining at the same time. I don't know how your still recording this massacre. Have you no shame!!! Love it and keep it up just don't ask me to help! Love your attitude.

The improvised hoist was pure gold. Maybe the best will it run I’ve seen, and I’ve enjoyed hundreds.

That has to be the sketchiest will it run I've ever seen . I love it. Great job, guys!
No sensors, barely any electricals. Just good old iron and fire. Wild video, fun watching you work.
I have watched a bunch of will it run video's, this is one of the best! Thanks for not giving up!
Hell even Jennings Motorsports channel would have to tip a hat to this ...great job guys ..👍👍👍👍👍
man, I couldn't believe you guys got that engine spinning and "running"!
In at 44 minutes 32 secs. Still watching. I'm invested now!! Gotta see it though till the end!!

The last 3 minutes: Best. Will it start. Ever.!!! The scene with the car passing by with you riding the windshield is priceless!!!
I'm watching because I do the same stuff with my friends and my oldest son all the time. It's more fun than watching sports IMO.
This is quite possibly the strangest video I have ever watched. And it’s addictive!

Excellent job
that was brilliant loved it what a wreck and got it moving
As a Jeep owner I’m freakin impressed! Most fun on UA-cam in ages so……subbed!

Just when you thought you have seen it all...😅😅😅 amazing guys!!!

OMG that was funny. I was laughing out loud when it finely started. Thanks
This was an epic will it run! Awesome video!

That's the best video I've seen all year
Brute force and determination. Loving the video so far
We used dry ice in cyl and broke em free
A few scoops of GRAVEL IN PAN WILL FIX OIL PUMP😅
Increddible amount of determination. Respect!
Pretty extreme run and drive, but a lot of fun. Not sure what could be left to salvage, as that is more rust than Jeep. Was a fun watch!
I just can't look away, nor do I want to! You guys are hilarious and quite ingenious, maybe crazy, on how to solve problems! I'd like to see if this thing can live again! At least as a yard jeep.
When the log got stuck in the bore it reminded me of being very constipated. LoL!
😂 if you have to get the drill out for that, you should get that checked!
@@RuggedWrench hahah. penetrating fluid will loosen er up! no diddy!
...then there was the constipated accountant...He eventually worked it out with a pencil.
Dang, nice work fellas, I'm impressed!
In 90's we got this same vehicle but unfortunately we sold it out, bt I still love this wonderful car

Runs and drives! I can see the craigslist ad now.
Been a mechanic and nearing retirement , fun watching you guys struggle . Glad its not me !
He he. Well you have balls taking on a job like that. Wow. That was a jeep at some stage. Nice work, video as always. Thanks. I really enjoy your videos.
I feel like rugged defines this youtubing family very well.
Yeah you guys got this.
Nothing greater than hammering on a propane tank to loosen up a motor! Priceless!
run like a dream . throttle adjustment very decent
"I have no idea why I'm still watching but I am."
There you go :D
And no I'm going to keep watching 'till the end because this video is fantastic.
Sketchy, concerning, alarming,... I loved it!

Wow way to go! Amazing!
So cool to see this old gal crank up finally.
You can't go wrong with a Jeep 😊
And anything that does is a Jeep thing!
They have a lot of shaking going on there. Man, that jeep is in very rough shape. I can only imagine it has taken tons of rain. Maybe hearing the engine run would be nice. That was incredibly entertaining!
Great content…but you guys are certifiably nuts!!!
What a great video! Thanks y’all!
For those curious, I’m the guy that loaned the starter and got the Jeep when art finished. It’s a 1958.
You need t-shirts with bold letters that say the impossible crew makes it possible.that was impressive fellas and funny!!😊😊😊😊
Nice work guys
New sub that was insane great video
Cazy dedication 😅
Abso-freaking-lutely amazing! Foot choke...who knew?!?
Fresh Sub, I know why i'm still watching, I've done something similar to a Holden Grey Motor... back in the day..

Wow that good job 👍 brother
I like doing this type of work
Should be a pre-'65 CJ5. The identification tag on the top drivers side of firewall can be decoded to figure out exact year.
I have two Jeep f-head engines that are tied up. This is good motivation for me to free them!
THAT HAS FUN, THANKS :)
Endless abandoned barns from Dallas to Milford. Lots to discover
mission impossible, instant sub
I had a 56 CJ-5 with the F head like yours around 45 years ago so it has to be late 50s to early 60s. I’m not sure of the last year of the F head but your Jeep is quite the same as mine was
Hey you are ahead of the game I see you have rear wheel steering
