And that's the Speedrunning Grand Slam for RA2-YR!
Another first sub-30 LRT thanks to RNGesus and updated strats! Sorry Rexy, but your services were no longer required.
What made this run faster than the previous record? Apart from slight timesaves from better micro in 1, 3, and 6:
√ Mission 4 (Romanov on the Run) was played with one less Demolition Truck, and I managed to determine the triggers to activate the Apocalypse Tank reinforcements as soon as it could be available. The usual attack-stop spam coming in handy again, of course!
√ Mission 7 (Head Games) made use of the discoverable Terrorists, which saved me ~20s IGT. Poetic since I also made use of free troops in the Allied Campaign back in 2021!
Potential timesaves? While I screwed up Mission 5 (Escape Velocity) by ~20s IGT, everything else couldn't have been more perfect in a full, no-save run. I was trying to find a way to retain the Dreadnought in Mission 1 (Time Shift) through the time travelling bit, but I never managed after literally a whole day experimenting on that very first part alone. If someone can do it, they'll save close to a whole minute on that mission.
This took me half a week for experimentation and mastery. While it was definitely the easiest of the four categories, I'd say it was the most RNG dependent due to relatively scrappy fighting in every mission (and Yuri clones in 4, good grief). It was also the most boring since, I swear, half the time is just cutscenes...
I plan to play through Yuri's Revenge's Allied Campaign sometime in the future as a remaster of my 2021 run since that was done on my old Mac with crappy quality. I do have slight improvements in mind, but I'll prolly rest and focus on other personal projects for now. Wish I had a time machine, too! xd

12:20 dude i miss this in games, i remember 9 year old me was completely enamored with this game
27:40 there's something just amusing about making a building conga line so you can conga line units in faster than the enemy.
Imagine being a soldier and seeing the Soviets just blaze thru and take your time machine like there is no tommorow

9:30 it looks like there's a barrel in the bottom corner between the chronosphere and power reactor? potential timesave? Tho, it seems pretty insignificant if it even saves time at all.

8:08 wait, does Yuri's Revenge actually remembers if you built a base near the lab? Because for me there was a rather big base with ConYard and prism towers as well, and I remember in RA2 I built around the lab similar to what was in my Yuri's Revenge mission
No, it doesn’t remember what you built from Red Alert 2. The extra MCV you see at the beginning of the mission in the middle, blue base is what gets deployed near the lab, and the AI just builds there accordingly as the mission progresses. :>

Keeping the Dreadnought in the first mission is relatively easy (you need to block it in the pier with two subs attacked by your own squids just before you sink the final allied ship), but I'm not sure this would save any time, considering how far you need to get it on the other side of the map before you can finish the first objective...

care to explain how stop-attack spamming works? I assume just alternating clicking a target and pushing s after the shot has been fired? Google and youtube know nothing it seems

25:32 at the end of the mission you need to destroy all enemy units. wtf
26:25 I completed this mission yesterday, on easy difficulty it was 65,000 money
Only on easy difficulty do you NOT need to destroy all enemy units.
"To The Moon" starting credits are 55,000, 70,000, or 85,000 from hard to easy difficulty respectively. This information is from the cnc.fandom page btw!
@@limegamer12 Maybe I messed up, I restarted the company several times and I could be wrong about the starting money. Unfortunately, I played the pirated version, maybe it’s different there. In any case, this run is cool!
