Fun fact: Ephemer appearing to the player saying "Let's go" was supposed to reference the end of KH2 "We'll go together". That is what Ephemer said in Japanese. But it was once again removed by the localization. Young Xehanort used the same phrase in KH DDD once, but it was also mistranslated as "Let's go". Young Xehanort in DDD even mimics Riku's hand reaching pose from the KH1 opening.

Just to be clear, everything related to the Player apearence, clothes, gender, hair color, and even which keyblade you are wielding is costumisable. Any time it changes, like the armor in the war, it was a consious choice by the one making the video, not a scripted thing.
Now you've finally seen the Keyblade War that Xehanort was going on about in Birth by Sleep.
I wish we saw more of it. It deserved its own epic cinematic but it was still awesome to see. :)

Something that epic deserves to be done in Unreal Engine, or something like it.
When we play the game, each player chooses an Union to join and gather Lux for it, and we had competition between Union, o even in real life there was this competition as in the story, it's amazing!

I really enjoy the story in this game. I hope you do too! Not only does it set up the stage for future KH projects but shows some revelations that changes everything, which isn’t new for KH but it’s extra relevant here. I hope you remember to watch the movie as well!

I really love KH UX story, it's a shame that the gameplay was actually bad, so you did well watching only the cutscenes. One of the biggest questions in this game is how did Ventus, Marluxia (Lauriam) and Larxene (Elrena) get to the present time considering this takes places so many years ago from the first game. You'll have to wait to know. I'm looking forward to watch your reaction to the rest of Union Cross, but first we have Back Cover (where we'll know more about the foretellers and the master of masters) and KH 3.
