I love the thinking behind each building placement, the importance given to each tile zoned, it's just so nice
I really love the low density with the dirt paths. It makes it look like it's a newly constructed area with all the modern looking buildings surrounded by sand!

I really enjoy the way you use the special looking assets. Not just throw them in the middle of a suburb but put in the asset and build around it. Great music as usual, was fun listening while I played the game!

Just want to commend you for the organic observation and fix of the bus stop at 31:30 - for noobs like me, your thought process when you discover a problem is really helpful - often when building a city, I know something isn't working out, but can't figure out what it is. Your hard-earned knowledge that "it's not registering as connected" emphasizes the things we should think about when something isn't working right. Thanks again.
For a minute during the detailing Timelapse I was half expecting you to demolish half the city just so you could get that road/lab interface just right! 😅 happy you found a less destructive and still satisfying solution.

Those bus only lanes are such a smart way of getting people around fast, that city park was a nice addition to the surrounding area

I've been following many C:S creators over the years, some had talent in infrastructure, others in detailing, you are really great at both and it amazes me that my favourite build is actually vanilla! ♥ Especially in this episode, love the use of multiple special zones right next to each other to fit the needs of the space and the universe approves, giving you lots of happy little accidents to fill in everything perfectly ♥
That school fits so nicely into the area, especially also with it's height. Such a shame the elementary schools are otherwise such small buildings. Great build with a lot of different angles which creates so much more interesting places. Cannot believe it's already 18 episodes in the series, so much already built and still now downtown 😄😉

2 things: 1) I tried playing with the depth and grain scales like you said in your reply to my comment on your other video to no avail. Maybe one of the mods I'm using is messing it up. 2) I have also been building along with your build as my introductory class to this game because I never learned much when I tried before (stopped playing around 50 hours). Now I am learning a ton and having so much fun doing it!
Great start to develop downtown. One thing that could make sense: extend the metro to the first campus area nexxt to the farm to connect both campus areas.
Maybe think about adding a ferry stop behind the aquatics entre as it is close to the waterfront and already has a bus connection

What a great build again OE! I had made a comment in the medium density build to do exactly this. You totally nailed it! I didn't realize you could extend campus areas like that to be separated. Really digging the idea of that pedestrian bus line wrapping around everything- So cool bro keep it up 🤙
Please consider adding some trees to the new low density suburb area, it looks like a fake neighborhood without any. Love the new additions and keep up the great work as always, makes my morning every time I see a new upload!
I would like to say thankyou for this series. I have spent the last week detailing most of my city. I even forgot about the milestones. I am still at about 15000 pop and realised I have been hovering around it for 3 plus days . Will see if I can make the 18000 so I can get the crematoriums

1) love the bus/pedestrian road you have going, I’m excited to see how that continues. So much potential! I Think it would go great alongside a Modern City Center commercial waterfront build. I think the red roads remind me of the amusement park path, which I have always liked for areas like that.
2) the open green space next to the metro and plazas is such a nice, subtle touch. In real life, those are great areas…just wish that the Cims were coded to act similarly 😅
3) I want to hang out in that pedestrian area. A simplistic but beautiful design. But I should avoid eating any of the spicy food before going to arena for a few hours.
You have a gift for filling in small areas with meaningful designs or assets. Just another fantastic episode in this city , nice job!

For Commercial on Pedestrian roads you need to zone 3 deep and 2 deep plots. This will give you the same assets but generally without parking in the front. When there is parking on the back I like to throw down a bike path behind them to give it the look like its an access road to the back of the buildings.

Using Modern Fountain #3 in a line or loose group outside the aquatic centre or other aquarium-styled building. They look like fins passing through water!! "We're gonna need a bigger boat!!!🦈"

Really liked the MCM zoning with the high density tower blocks. Overall I think this is my favourite area so far for this build. Definitely pinching that idea!

Wouldn't there be a little space for a turnaround the buses could use to get in the bus station? It would fix the problems with the weird lines and make it possible to use the busway in both directions

I am totally copying the 2x2 mid-century modern suburb idea. Those look fantastic arranged like that. It's so hard to get good looking suburbs without a ton of space pods showing up in the vanilla game.

Very cool little build Egg, as always! I really like the way the Aquatic Centre, Metro station, pedestrian promenade really gel together nicely.
A perhaps unpopular opinion though - how about switching the Korean Elementary school and Public Library around? They're *kinda* the same size, so you might be able to scazz it without mucking around with your detailing too much, and it'd help the crawl of height a little bit as the school is higher than the library.
Like I said, maybe unpopular 🤷♂️ either way, lovely work Egg! You know how much I love a vanilla build!

The Aquatic Complex feels like its screaming for a ferry stop currently with the way that open spot is sitting there between the back entrance and the quay. Water traffic to see a water sports?
