- Your man Salty lays out the who, what and WHY of the baffling decision to bring the much maligned and AUDIENCE REJECTED Amazon WHEEL OF TIME SERIES to theaters with a PREQUEL TRILOGY. And yes, it will be produced by the SAME INDIVIDUALS BEHIND THE SHOW.
Who is directed and WHY DID THEY GET THE JOB? Who is WRITING? And just as importantly WHO ELSE IS PRODUCING and what IDEOLOGY THEY WANT to further DESTROY THE LEGACY AND WORLD built by ROBERT JORDAN.

The thing is, they are saying all the things they believe we book fans want to hear like "honouring the worldbuilding of Jordan's masterwork" but failing to understand that Jordan's worldbuilding is antithetical to the idealogies they are crowbaring into their bastardized story.
They desperately want to get the book fans onboard again, but have failed to demonstrate anything that shows good faith towards those book fans.

This was a hell of a video Salty! Seeing this article and going back to 2021 when they first talked about the idea of a trilogy I feel so bad for the fans, it seem Robert Jordan's work will never be honored on the big screen 😑

I tried to watch the second series and I've given up.
Salty you are 100% correct. It is going to be bad! There will be a lot of the usual stuff. The more I read this series the more pissed off I get. This is an amazing story and the fact that they put out the dog shit of a show is sad.

Well thank you. It's truly a team effort with Prophet of the Dragon, A Man of Manetheren, The White Cloaks, Disparu, et al individually covering and sometimes banding together on streams to keep pointing out the obvious: it was never about Robert Jordan's story or characters, it was about hijacking another fandom to make garbage tier fan fic with forced representation and agenda. Which will only continue on the big screen.
When you ask if you're an a**hole for judging before seeing script. I say after the last 7 years of entertainment.. fans are entitled to be negative on EVERYTHING and studios need to PROVE us wrong. The days of good will are over. House of the Dragon did it

Slight correction: TEotW logically implies from Tam's descriptions of finding the baby, that his mother had died from wounds received in battle. Now, a rational human being would suppose she died fighting after giving birth, but Tam did describe it loosely enough (as might be expected in his condition at the time) that someone could imagine, as a joke, that the mother had died killing all those guys JUST BEFORE giving birth, and then extrapolate a ninjarific fight scene satirizing the very idea of that. ......after which Rafe decided to film that idea seriously as canon in the show. sigh.

@@SaltyTravelingC More and more I'm of the opinion that companies like Amazon, Netflix, Disney etc. have too much money to burn. They can afford not to care. I think movies and TV shows need to be made by people with strict budgets, where carelessness and a lack of concern for quality results in utter ruination. No failing upwards! There need to be checks and balances.
I’m tired of all this wasted money! Especially when folks are struggling. The entertainment industry just wasting dollar after dollar, sterling after sterling, euro after euro. Doctor Who, Star Wars, Marvel, LOTR Universe (rings of power) and as a transformers fan even that isn’t free from the absurd wokery having. Wait for it… not a human character with they/them pronouns but one of the new robot, that’s right one of the new robot characters! They might as well call it TRANSformers!
