As someone who works in a bodyshop, you were a lot nicer to that hood than we would have been! Good Video as always, huge inspiration! you're the reason i want my own shop!
As a former Subie dealer tech, it's extremely easy to round off the old 14mm drain plugs and get them stuck. I personally replaced close to 100 in my short time as a Subaru express tech and the new steel 17mm plugs are a lot harder
No they don't! Unfortunately we live in an era where people buy vehicles & expect them to work 100% of the time! Hell had a lady tell me: "I just drive it, I didn't know it needed an oil change" well instead of a rebuild block in her POS cruiser she sold it for scrap & bought another POS to abuse!😂
I have watched all of these customer complaints videos and as someone that works in IT, I can definitely say I relate more to someone doing this kind of job than expected. Also super positive ending message there. Love it ❤
That silver car where the ball joint had left the chat looked like a fucken towing ball for a trailer. Not the size I’m use to seeing on a car. Man I love you and the awesome work that you do. I wish I could find a mechanic like you where I live in Australia. Another brilliant video by you guys 🤙😎🇦🇺
Keep up the awesome work, as a fellow mechanic I feel your pain dealing with stupid customers and issues. I wish you guys all the best and keep up the awesome content.
Knowledge of basic maintenance, being able to change your tire to the spare, and knowing the proper way a spare tire is used should be required before getting your license.
Thank you for sharing tips on how to do things yourself. Would have never known about the spark plugs. Also for the laughs and life advice!!! Keep up the hard work!!! ❤
Love the videos, the commentary from the guys is funny, video edits are funny, and best part you’re a real mechanic, thanks for what you do keep it going
For the stuck oil drain pulg, what has worked for me is (in this order) 1. Pipe wrench (they get tighter grip as they turn) 2. Strip nut remover, plus a big impact gun 3. Weld a bigger nut (there's no way you will catch on fire the oil, if you use your brain, plus the heat helps)
TIP for the subie stripped drain bolts. use some kinipix cobra pliers and grab the big lip on the head of the bolt and brake it loose it that doesn't work. the good old air hammer with a chisel on the big lip works every time. i worked for subaru for over 6 years. its our go to strat! :)
10:30 I had the same thing happen to me on my truck one of the previous owners replaced the passengers side lower ball joint and lucky it popped out when I was parking at my house and not while driving. But what happened is that "newer" ball joint was one of the ones with a plastic bushing so when that wore out there was nothing keeping the ball in the socket. Also lucky all it did was bend a tie rod end and nothing else.
I work for a super lube... long for removing drain plugs. We replace any with worn out gaskets, destroyed crush washers, new plugs if needed! When putting in plugs I just use a shorty rachet. I weight 142lbs! Also screw GMs 4 bangers with the plastic plug thing when coming off the highway! Having to just drop the plug randomly to avoid hot oil is the most annoying!
Jesus Christ that drain plug. What did they do, use a 3/8th impact with a deep well? 🤣 I’ve seen some fucked up ones myself and have a set of Matco extractor sockets for that shit. Have yet to need an air hammer on a stripped plug. And we need the full story on the ball joint and axle! Betting they decided to curb.
Oil pan bolt is crazy. They didn’t want the bolt to come out so they made sure that thing will never be loose again lol. This remind of those idiot tire tech over tightening the lug nuts. A shop couldn’t take out my dad’s lug nut with a power tool. I had to use leverage and crank that shit to release it. The nuts came out and bolt was fine.
My last oil change I freaking open the wrong bolt and freaked out that I didn’t add oil. Come to find out I check again and realized I opened the wrong bolt. It has been a long quick year. I’ve been a father since January. I knew there was oil because my car sounded okay. Not a lot of shaking. Oil dip stick still showing oil.
Customer says he went to jiffy lube to get an oil change. That's when you know you're in trouble as a tech. They ran it down with an impact for sure or used some corn fed MF to tighten it down with a 24-in half-in drive ratchet.
Did the customer with the stripped oil drain plug dirty with the oil pan swap. My 2009 civic had a stripped plug and I got it out with a bolt extractor. $20 tool you should already have in your shop.
lol when i owned a 2005 bmw x3 i had the tensioner go out on me but i was lucky the belt was fine the tensioner just lost the bearings i swapped out the tensioner from the ac it didnt work so i got a smaller belt and yeah….i was doing some pulls which i think caused it to fail
Love your show Will, but is it really needed to duck out almost each bad word? There isn't much left after it haha, especially if the quack is longer then the word ^^
Yes FU to all those keyboard warriors who talk about 3,000 mile oil changes are a waste of money. Look at that motor that did 3,000 mile oil changes. Looks brand freaking new.
so the oil change at 5k miles thing, my car's manual says to do it every 7500, should I follow the instruction manual or should I really be doing it every 5k. I have a '22 Kia Rio LX. I've been changing it at every 7500 miles and am only at just over 27k miles
"Customer States"
Will goes absolutely insane.
All the cars with dumb problems are cool
But the shop music playlist is always top tier
The smithing increased made me lol 😂
As someone who works in a bodyshop, you were a lot nicer to that hood than we would have been! Good Video as always, huge inspiration! you're the reason i want my own shop!
Bro vids need to be viral tbh
He brings awareness to peoples stupidity and it teaches us right from wrong 😂
9:33 Dude wtf. Subaru drain plugs only need to be torqued down to 25 ft/lbs. That's just passed hand tight. Customer definitely twerked someone off.
As a former Subie dealer tech, it's extremely easy to round off the old 14mm drain plugs and get them stuck. I personally replaced close to 100 in my short time as a Subaru express tech and the new steel 17mm plugs are a lot harder
Love the inspirational quotes at the end of these videos
I can relate on yalls videos. 🤦🏽♂️ some ppl don't know how to take care of their cars

Loving the Eagles playing in the background. Thanks for the videos. Need more!

theres something soothing about the Pokemon Hoenn games background music and just the amount of swearing... Its just great!
i have almost no idea about cars but still love watching these
Keep it going! These are dope and I love watching these!
Can we get a duck sticker with Will's haircut? Because *Quack*
After working ina shop all day it somehow really brings me joy watching your guys videos I hope to work ina shop like y’all’s someday
I loved the older videos when they showed more of the whole process of start to finish for a fix. You think you could do some of those in between?
i saw that one with 14 hours drive, you guys are making great video....i will see you guys in the next one
You guys are so amazing for showing people that you’re an honest shop I wish I lived closer to you guys so I could be in a customer states video 😊😊😊
love this series lol, stay healthy and happy guys 🤙
Always great videos, thanks for the effort you put in to keep us amused.

You got me rolling over here boss LOL
I live in arizona, and lower ball joints are always falling off. I've seen washboards that are smoother than these roads!
Absolutely love this. Makes me feel like im there in the shop with you guys :D
This episode was so quaking good.
Keep them coming, I enjoy watching the videos
Love to come work at that shop, somewhere that isnt afraid of telling customers how they fucked up and still fixing the cars right
This series to good bruh don’t know why but I could watch this forever
Episode 12 of customer complaints please! :) Love the content!
Best part of my week
Lets gooooo!!! The neglect on cars kill mee but fun to watch

Will could beat me and pay me minimum wage and I’d still want more customer complaint videos. Love these videos
Bro doing the oil change on the Subaru was definitely hitting the penjamin
Keep going with these episodes!!!!
Smithing should've been level 69, love this shit though.
I LOVE THIS CHANNEL! KEEP UP THE CONTENT ❤
for the stripped oil bolt you can use a special socket to remove that, It works most of the time.
Having to just drop the plug randomly to avoid hot oil is the most annoying!
you guys are making great videos keep up the good work.
''Smithing increased'' fucking lost it HAHA
Someone who works there please tell me how your shop playlist works! Its always perfect!
Loving the Pokémon theme music 🫡😂
Love these maybe have another type of video showing how you fix some of the issues
The shop music sounds like Yacht Rock Radio on sirius xm. Super chill music.
That 3rd gen prelude in the back tho
The moment i heard, axel and ball joint, my mind went to my car, a tsx
@12:30 bro’s elbows sounded a little rusty…LoL
Thanks for sharing your videos and I would hope see more
Yippeeee i woke up and theres a customer’s complaints
Keep these coming!!

bmws should just play slot machine jackpot noises when you open the hood because you always get a bonus play
The likes are going up as I watch the video and its cool
having to drop the turbo to remove the drain pan is crazy, engineers hate techs
I need a part 2 for that subi with that drain bolt... what did the owner doooo
Hope you all are doing good this week. Rough one for me in the shop.
edit: thats too much leverage bobby
I NEED MORE!!!!
I am just happy to know all of our music taste are the same xD
Some specific Subaru models share Honda oil filters for some reason it’s weird lmao
I enjoy the videos
Hey will ,
Nice timberland pro shoes got the same pair of shoes very comfortable shoes
My last oil change I freaking open the wrong bolt and freaked out that I didn’t add oil. Come to find out I check again and realized I opened the wrong bolt. It has been a long quick year. I’ve been a father since January. I knew there was oil because my car sounded okay. Not a lot of shaking. Oil dip stick still showing oil.
They used red loctite on that drain plug
holy crap they do have shop air
Why is it always the left headlight on a BMW that gets broke, blown out or one of the modules goes out?
the last part.... be me fr...
Have you seen what they are charging for just an oil change now? I remember when it’s was 60$ now it’s over a 100…
Make these videos longer
I Love you guys! 😅
What did number 2 cylinder look like or was the customer lucky and it was broken before they inserted it? Ouch 😂
Customer says he went to jiffy lube to get an oil change. That's when you know you're in trouble as a tech. They ran it down with an impact for sure or used some corn fed MF to tighten it down with a 24-in half-in drive ratchet.
I wonder if anyone had the snapon extra leaverage pliers. I have used those things to get stubbs of exhaust studs out of a maxxforce 13
(Around12:30)I own a 06 Acura tl and that same thing happened to me took me half a week to do by myself it’s a common issue with these 😂😂
When do we get Concept iii Performance the body shop?
Did the customer with the stripped oil drain plug dirty with the oil pan swap. My 2009 civic had a stripped plug and I got it out with a bolt extractor. $20 tool you should already have in your shop.

If you drive a BMW, you better be ready to spend BMW money. Bro couldn’t even buy a brand new headlight, instead probably got one from the junkyard
14:14 because this bmw was an auction buy and the person who bought it is broke af but still wanted a BMW.
4:58 bluetooth plug gap!!
TY!
Dr hook ? Chilling
Love your show Will, but is it really needed to duck out almost each bad word? There isn't much left after it haha, especially if the quack is longer then the word ^^
I would love to come work for you!
