    thanks for the video !!! purchased the list all used for about $700 on amazon. I was on the verge of buying a new camera with a bigger sensor but decided it would be cheaper to invest into a lighting kit.

    Great video! Since beginning my videography career I've come to find out that lighting may be more important than the actual camera. It's definitely been a journey but videos like this helps bring perspective.

    Awesome 👏🏾 it is also good to know how light works. Investing in a good lighting kit and a good lens will beef up the quality of your production. Camera bodies come and go but good lights will always be needed.☺️

    So grateful for this video. I bought this exact kit and it saved me from so much guessing and paranoia about whether or not I was getting the right stuff.

    Hey Brandon, I once a created creator package set for a friend wanted to start his own UA-cam. Did the some thing. Get him a lot like the tripod, camera, audio, light, lens choices, and etc. This is all for the price of a FX3. Good job on informing people about this .

    Nice. Would love to see a similar video at even lower budgets.
    Or even wjat could be done with a single light and some bounce cards.
    Maybe try replicating the piece to camera shot and seeing how close you can get.

    good video!.........however, i have a question! would led panel (ie falcon eyes) be a more practical substite to this setup?....since I plan on doing travel international i just bought the 24-inch falconeyes panel from amazon that I am waiting to be delivered, I hope I didn't make a mistake! 😏 lastly, wouldn't it had been easier to use C-stands for your application?

    • @bwashmedia
      @bwashmedia  2 роки тому

      C-Stands are defiantly better but for the budget cap it wouldn't work to get quality. Personally I have found most flat panel lights are very hard to soften and still keep great out-put of light. At least the cheaper options.

    does the 200x have the an issue with strange fan noise? I heard in reviews that was a big problem.

    • @bwashmedia
      @bwashmedia  2 роки тому +1

      I have never noticed the fan noise. I’m sure if you put a microphone right next to it it will pick it up. But in a typical set up like the one I showed in this video I think you will be more than OK.

    Nice video. It is more for someone already on YT or in the video business that is moving to the next level. Really would like you to show something like $500 for people starting. This serves two things 1 cost-why because many people start YT and never get a channel going. 2 Used stuff can be sold for half or lower (this will reduce losses). I got three lights for under $500, which is a great place to start. Everything for entry-level should be cheap to make sure to like making videos and upgrading as you go. Just my two cents. This is a good video. I'm not too fond of the price point (yes, I did see you point out the cheaper option and its limitations)

  • @Milan-cf1xe

    I can't decide between the Aputure 200x and 300x. I already have a Falconeyes RX18 Bi Color Light and want a nice Key Light. I am on a budget and dont know if the V Mount option, higher output for emulating sun light and carry bag is worth it. Usercase is short films, corporate videos and commercials

    • @bwashmedia
      @bwashmedia  2 роки тому

      if you plan on taking the light on location sets the 300x is a great option. I have the 300d and I have taken it everywhere. It's obviously more expensive but because lights that travel a lot get so beat up the build quality of the lights really comes in handy.

    Sorry 3:16 what were you saying we should be careful of doing? Do we need to not have a window in the shot? If so, could you explain how come, so I can extrapolate the lesson here? Thanks for this video by the way!

    • @bwashmedia
      @bwashmedia  Рік тому +1

      Basically if a window is in the shot the sun may be to bright. Which mean if you expose your camera for the window (which you should) the shot will be too dark because the lights I’m recommending do not get bright enough.

    Gray Frederickson was my, business of film professor.
    If you don’t know who Gray frederickson is?
    Then you may not understand!
    Look up, the Godfather 1 and 2.
    However this man is the truth.
    We used, Mole Richardson. This is a lesser but better solution, for us film makers. Octagon soft boxes are use for cinema.
    Hexagon soft boxes are use in a different manner.
