I learned to tie the type 8 knot recently because another type of knot does not work. Super complete the information. Shan is the sweetest model of jumping rope
Thank you so much. I am wanting to buy a jumprope so that I can get some cardio at home. I was clueless about length. However, do you have a video on whether to buy a jump rope with weights in the handles? I went to the store to buy a jump rope and most of them were weighted starting at 1 pound in each handle. Would you please discuss the benefits or not of having weighted handles? Thank you so much for this video on length. I'm 5'5" and 106 lbs.
Hi Shannon! I’m somewhat biased but we offer very good basic ropes at punkrope.com. Our standard rope which I’ve personally used for 15 years is solid and we also have the Beginner’s Luck which is a few dollars more but better for someone starting out. I would strongly recommend against buying a rope with weighted handles especially if your goal is improved cardio. Weighted ropes do offer some benefits but you would want the added weight in the rope itself not in the handles. Weighted ropes are a good choice for grapplers, boxers, and fighters who need to develop superior hand and grip strength as well as hand speed.
@@PunkRopeNYC thank you so much. This is so helpful. All the ropes had weighted handles and worried they would hurt my wrists. Will check out your ropes.
