Excellent tutorial! The only one I could find that actually went through the settings before making a cup of coffee. Every other video pointed at the settings screen and like a Cocker Spaniel puppy said “these are cool. You figure it out. Now let’s make a cup of coffee!”
Hi!! I just bought the Oracle touch, I want to ask what grind setting do you have? Or what do you recommend? I use the espresso Starbucks beans. Thank you
I grind most beans between 19 and 22, but every machine is different, and it will be different for every bean. The two most important variables are using fresh beans (with a "roasted on" dates no more than 20 days old, not with a "use by" date), and brewing with nice smooth flow. I recommend that you watch this video: ua-cam.com/video/UE1kL1j_khU/v-deo.html
Are you able to adjust the steam temperature? In the Non-touch Oracle, there's an advance menu to alter steam power by adjusting the temperature - I can't seem to find this for the touch version?
I also find your videos very informative and down-to-earth. For me personally, i could do without the background music. But it won't deter me from coming back.
Do you control the pre infusion time when doing manual mode? I've noticed if I just hit the manual button that it starts high pressure almost instantly and I know on the dual broiler machine you hold the manual button to specify pre infusion and then let go for high pressure. Just wondering if its the same on the oracle. Thanks for your awesome videos!
Hi, did you check what the dosing amount was from the factory? Another video said it was around 23g. If so, did you adjust the dosing to come out to around 20g? Thanks for the great video. Also, do you normally leave the beans in the hopper? Any difference day to day in taste?
Thanks for sharing, please could you make a video for settings of different types of gridding and how that change de quality or taste of the drink ? I found a bit difficult to get a right coffee expreso with nice crema. Thanks again
Thank you for your comment. Right now I am working on a video that explains the different characteristics of light, medium, and dark roast coffees, and what settings you should use on your machine to get started with a certain type of coffee. I will try to cover taste as well. Thank you for the idea! Have a great coffee day!
Hey! When you change the grind size/time for a preset drink (or any drink for that matter), will these settings automatically apply to all drinks? Or do you have to choose it for each one individually? Also, if you make grind size/time adjustment for preset drink will this be saved for the future? Thanks!
Thank you for your question. If I recall, when you change a setting on one drink, it only affects that drink. This is necessary so that you can customize your latte settings a different way than your cappuccino, for example. You can save the presets drinks for the future, and what I love most is that you can save a drink with a custom name. My wife and I like our lattes a little different for the milk consistency, milk temperature, and coffee strength, so I have my name as a drink, and her name as another drink. She just uses her setting and she is happy. The settings that apply to all drinks can be adjusted under the gear icon. These are the default milk temperature and the brewing temperature.
@@CoffeeWiser correct, every other option is the same as in your video, with the exception of the auto off option which is not there, and the machine always switches off after 30 minutes....very annoying
@@giorgiokralj Wow, I am sorry. I am not sure why that is. Did you try to contact Breville Customer Service? Maybe there is a way to update your software, or access a hidden menu, or a different way to enable that feature.
Yes the grinder and tamp fan side of the machine introduces inconsistencies. When I use an external grinder, the brew head produces very consistent espressos.

Wow! What a thorough review! This will be so helpful when I get my machine. Thank you so much for doing this!
Thank you very much for watching!
Hello, how do you flush the water spout? I've been wiping it down but cant figure out how to flush it

@@CoffeeWiser Thanks a lot to you, and keep going with your great videos !!!
Thanks for this setup review. You jump Descale Cycle. What is it?
Descale is the mode to clean the scale from hard water inside the machine. You can see a video about it here: ua-cam.com/video/VGmV6-MOuZ0/v-deo.html

@@CoffeeWiser thank you!
Any idea why my machine doesn’t have the auto off option in the scroll down menu?
So your menu is different than the one you see in my video?

I have the same problem on my machine. Did you find a solution?
I got my machine just today and the auto off is missing for me, too.
Very informative
Thank you for watching?
Nice
Thank you for your comment. Have a great weekend!
I have had this machine for just over 2 years now… I find it very inconsistent..
