You're very welcome. Some Japanese movie aficionados gave me more details. They shot the actual building and made a montage with explosion footages (so it's not a miniature.) The reason why they picked that one specific building was pure convenience: it was the New Toei's headquarters who produced the flick (which also accommodated a cinema complex that happened to be playing the Hitler documentary.) BTW the building's still there to this date.
The MST3K crew cracked up so many times in this movie based on the dubbed voices alone. They're not wrong. This movie contains some of the strangest dubbings ever put to film. Even if everything else in this movie was perfect you still couldn't take it seriously based on those voices alone.

This and Prince of Space have a weird thing going on where there are no individual characters, there are just blobs of people who always stand close together.
I actually was in Japan a couple of months ago, and I had the opportunity to talk to a Japanese man about that scene...he said the kanji on the building reads "My Struggle" (the title of Hitler's book), but aside from that, he couldn't explain that scene either.
It was old stock footage from WW2, so yeah, there’s Hitler. Also I read somewhere that some of the footage is of real bombs killing people during the war and that’s sad and disturbing.
This movie is 45% shrill, obnoxious kids; 50% dudes looking at monitors; 5% actual World War II bombing footage used in a kids movie (a fucking kids movie, for Christ's sake!) and 100% pain.

"No..."
"Then *_SHUT UP!!!!_*"
TheRuffington and yet it’s one of my favorite episodes! “Your pain brings us joy!”
It was old stock footage from WW2, so yeah, there’s Hitler.
Also I read somewhere that some of the footage is of real bombs killing people during the war and that’s sad and disturbing.
we like it very much
"Don't worry kids, it's a commercial gimmick for sushi cereal!"
This movie is 45% shrill, obnoxious kids; 50% dudes looking at monitors; 5% actual World War II bombing footage used in a kids movie (a fucking kids movie, for Christ's sake!) and 100% pain.
that description of eyelash creatures gets me every time
Compared to this movie, Prince of Space is cinematic gold!
Boy ain't that the truth. I feel the same way, but my sister (who is a bad-movie buff like me) actually thinks this one is better. Hey, it takes all kinds XD
Prince of Space is not in any way a good film, but it has a much more competent hero and much more interesting villains. Neptune Men is a lot more dry.
Dry like a great Martini.
I really like Prince of Space...
