You can really tell it's a Tsuburaya production when the wanton missiles/rockets and explosion scenes take up a full unbroken minuet at a time. Eat it Michel Bay, you are a diet Tsuburaya at best.

"Hi, I'm Mighty Jack. I make my own gravy!" Seriously one of the great moments in television history.
I have a message to all dogs: BITE ME!
Joel is the best! One of the best episodes too. This still slaps in 2021. How would I survive Lockdown without you, MST3K?!
Such good stuff. I'm glad these shows are on youtube.
"I was just watching Mighty Jack, and I thought that it would make a great movie."
Thank you, Tom Servo. You made my day with that line.
I come back to this one all the time, one of my fav.
All the Gamera ones are good as well.
Most of these I don't think I could suffer without the MST3K spin,
I agree.
I actually didn't think the first Gamera episode was that funny. And haven't seen the others yet..
A few years back I was fortunate enough to own a beautiful red w white conv. 64 GTO 389 Tri-power. Of course it was a 4speed and I sure wish that I would have kept her. At any rate, GTO'S rule!!! Oops, my comment was directed at ramairgto.

"Take me to the nearest plot point."
You and me both, lady.
"Slow the Plot Down" -- an unrecognized gem of music.
"JUST GIVE US A SCRIPT, THAT MAKES NO FRIGGIN SENSE, WE'LL TRY SO HARD TO SLOW THE MAN DOWN"!!!!!!!!
Should be on america's top 40
@@Tbillow Frank. TV's Frank.
I loved that song!
its a re interpretation of blow the man down
One of the producers, Eiji Tsuburaya, is the man behind the special effects for Godzilla. And MST3K covered one of the Godzilla movies where he was visual supervisor.
Eiji Tsuburaya was the Industrial Light & Magic of Japan!
He also was the man behind the original Ultraman!
Don't worry too much about some requests, I'm from the UK and I would never be able to watch ANY of these without you and some other people's time and effort to upload them. Absolutely love these!! THANKS AGAIN! =)
Love the intro sketch! Joel in foam. Must've been fun to do but a lotta clean up. Thanks, BBI!
"Those lights are capable of blinding you..."
"I'm not afraid - I'll keep my eyes closed and not answer any questions!"
"Man, he's smart!"
"Yeah, he's sm- WILL YOU KNOCK IT OFF? You're supposed to be my cat!"
Oof! Sounds like that's one place where it's to applicable to turn down the lights. 😆

"OK, Joel...I didn't want to get tough with you, but inside that capsule is a poisoned sammich!"
"Well I just wont eat it, then..."
Great riffs. I love the Joel era.
I feel the same way! The Mike Nelson years are good in their own way, but for me, give me a Joel episode every time!
I also prefer Joel, but Mike was great too, especially in his first season. What brought the Mike era down had more to do with Trace leaving. Without him it wasn't as good anymore. While still good, something was missing.
The Joel hodgson era was the best...still makes me laugh years later
I fulley agree. For along time i didnt watch anything but joel. Then a few older movies made me watch them. But joels super dry voice ...mono toned delivery of everything he says makes it so good.
@@matthewsmith4599 I also appreciate that comparing the Joel and Mike eras, Joel's riffs seem to be a little less about complaining or putting the movie down, and a little more about making the best of things with a wry joke, often formulated by pretending to agree with the movie's (stupid) logic. A more laid back, take things as they come attitude than Mike's crueler humor
He died as he lived... loving his work.
+Hylian Fox humpin' the suitcase...?
Whenever I watch this episode I tell myself that I'm going to concentrate and try to figure out the actual plot of the movie... I give up every time after about five minutes.

"he's got legs, he knows how to use them.

"The name is Bond...Frank Bond."
"Right, and I'm Ursula Andress."
"I know." *eyebrow bounce*
God, how I miss these two!
Just as missed in 2021 as in 2013
55:40 [humming] "he tried to kill me with a forklift..."
Ole!
Absolutely love the wrap up. "I feel like I've been listening to Lou Reed's "Metal Machine Music." My brain feels wiped clean." (Joel) (Honestly, I think that I had a promo 8 track of that!)
Sandy Frank has to have spent millions on therapy after MST3K. There's no single person that have continuously unloaded both barrels on. I love every one of these shows with SF.
You know how Haim Saban took the popular live action Japanese franchise Super Sentai, mixed it with American actors and cheesy acting to create the popular Power Rangers series?
Sandy Frank does the opposite by taking several average Japanese series, dub them with Americans who can't act and edits them so badly that even Coleman Francis would call his films crappy
That's pushing it. At least Sandy Frank has his characters speaking on camera.
If only Saban and Frank had collaborated
Lol, That cracked me up!!! 😂🤣🤣😂
20 minutes in, and I've already forgotten what happened in the first ten...
suicune690 there was a first ten???
That's because of that weird blinding light torture the baddies use.
Oh you're high.
who cut the cheese
LOL same. Paused at the 20 min mark to look at the comments, I don’t even know why the hell they kidnapped the Atari inventor or what Mighty Jack actually is
Mighty! Mighty Jack! They gobble them down and the plate comes back for more Mighty Jack!
Tom: "Aren't you supposed to be my cat?" Crow: "Oh,... uh,... MEOW."
6:44 - When the movie began, I thought it was from the 50s. But the copyright shown is MCMLXXXVI, 1986! When I looked the movie up, it was apparently released in 1968, which would be MCMLXVIII. This is deeply disturbing, and not in a nice way.
I believe the 1986 was the Sandy Frank year. The year ir was dubbed in English and distributed for English audiences.
Mighty Jack is the Ship, the organization that maintains the ship and the crew of the ship.
Okay. Thanks.
Where's the damn storyline btw
@@williamreynolds2599 it's a couple tv shows stitched together the way Sandy Frank can. Ep1 is the rescue mission and escape and part 2 is the attack on Q (hehe) and it's counter attack, with mighty Jack finally winning
It's also a dog food
It's also the title of the movie
"Slow the plot down, matey, slow the plot down..." Epic song.
11:50 Check out Joel's amazing acting! For a fine upstanding boy from Minnesota to mimic tokin' a doob so realistically, having no real experience with such unlawful behavior...I say BRAVO!!!!!
Gotta stay warm somehow...
Joel's actually from Wisconsin

The composer of the music for the movie was Isao Tomita who would become internationally renowned as a pioneer of electronic music.
Mst3k makes me lmao. Whenever I need a good laugh, I watch one of the episodes thank you for uploading these. Much gratitude.
The Paris scene looks like an English Beat video
This episode makes a lot of "worst" lists but I really like it and cue it up fairly frequently. I do admit that it's a good episode to fall asleep to, though.
You are so right. I fall asleep to this one and fugitive alien 1&2 regularly. Haha
There are lists of “worst” MST3K episodes? That makes me sad.
Cave Dwellers is amazing to fall asleep to.
I do too, also Harry Potter with the RiffTrax on 😜🥰
oh good..I picked the right one
The fishing quotes always make me laugh. And they are always on point and great fishing advice 😎
The opening skit is PURE GOLD!, Crow and Servo look dreadful, This calls for more bot builders to make burnt-up Crow and Tom Servo replicas.
ear club for men wahaha
it's amazing to think that *Tsubaraya* of Ultraman fame produced this snoozefest
I get the feeling that this movie really, really wanted to be a live action version of Thunderbirds, even though all the actors are somehow less articulate than marionettes.
NorthStarBlue1 And then there was the ACTUAL live action Thunderbirds, but the less is said, the better
hahah...nice.
Those less articulate than marionettes are Trump supporters.
Welcome to the evil that is Sandy Frank. He took the FIRST and SIXTH episodes of the Mighty Jack television series and sandwiched them together to make what this...mess...is. I mean....the original 13 episode series wasn't great...but Sandy Frank makes everything ten times worse.
Also I didn't know how on the nose about Spielberg producing The Flintstones AS WELL AS Casper!
Tsuburaya is also the creator of the Ultraman series.
And Lt. Jerry is Ito on Ultraman.
A movie about an Italian Blofeld who has an evil machine? I think? Over 30 years, and I still don't know what Mighty Jack is, exactly.
"Oh Akio, Akio, wherefore art thou, Akio?"
Wow, the live-action Utena movie looks great
Not enough roses.
Joel: You know the great thing is that Steven Speilberg is now doing a bunch of movies based on cartoon characters like The Flintstones and Bloom County.
1991: A Wish For Wings That Work was released from Amblin Entertainment.
1994: The Flintstones movie was realeased from Amblin Entertainment.
Tom Servo: Oh, yeah? What's he going to do next? Casper, The Friendly Ghost?
1995: Casper was released from Amblin Entertainment.
Thanks for saving me an hour on imdb :) I knew the movies but was a little hazy on the release dates.
Probably because I spent most of the 90's in a haze!
Cheers from Canada
At least they haven't made a "Cathy" movie....yet....

Josie and the Pussycats, 2001 MGM/Universal
In 2000, Rocky and Bullwinkle was released by Universal Pictures.
19:50: "Meanwhile, back on the 'Greasy Bastard'..."
Lol
Potato Approved!!
32:10 to make a Miles Davis joke, then a Wynton Marsalis joke is pretty good; to then make a Teo Macero joke is god-tier.
"He might be able to get into the craft fair next year with that!"
It seems no matter how many times I have seen this episode over the years, I can hardly ever recall it!
That's because nothing memorable happens in it.
Like how theese are always entertaining and there is at least one time that I find myself having a good deep belly laugh with each movie.
Didjya know? Hot water ice does exist, but only under enormous pressures.
Where is Mighty Jack's base?!?!?!?!? It's next to the drums and guitar.
does someone want to explain to me how it can be 7:30AM in Saigon and 7AM in Moscow? this is a 1986 dub, so the only potential reason is Sandy Frank has no concept of how time zones work...
7:30AM in Saigon and 7AM in Moscow?
Sandy Frank was notoriously ignorant, dumb and lazy. He took Japanese TV shows and strung completely unrelated episodes together and called it a movie. Worse yet, his dubbing was the laziest attempt ever at a translation. Nothing compares.
For comparison, "Warning from Space" is a movie that was excellently dubbed.
Well,he has no concept about how movies work, time IS a tad more complicated 😁
15:13 "Ohh I was just daydreaming Doctor". OMG, i about shite meself on that one. :) lol
TY Sandy Frank. You taught us how to laugh at love....again & again.
"Get some Pearl Drops!" I'm so old, I remember Pearl Drops.
"Puma?" Another call back to Ring of Terror 😂
"Meanwhile, back on the Greasy Bastard..."
Mighty Jack is you. Mighty Jack is me.
Mighty Jack is all of us in Deep 13.
I think THIS one was the first MST3K I ever got to see. Either this one or Fugitive Alien.
"I want children." The only logical response to seeing dem legs...
"This is only a test. Had this been an actual movie..." lmao!
45:15 Joel: “I just won’t eat it..” ethereally funny
It's funny being from Wisconsin and watching this show. So many tiny references. Tommy Bartlett show! LMAO.
'Does anyone know what's going on?" Would describe the reaction to most any MST movie!
I can't believe I'm only 40 minutes into this thing.
Secret Agent Super Dragon is the most underrated episode. Servo’s song has thoroughly permeated my brain.
I agree! One of my absolute favorites. That one and Warrior Of The Lost World
@@potatopower4026 also a pretty big fan of the "killed me with a forklift" song from Fugitive Alien.
"Inside, I'm tan and handsome. Outside, I'm the Grinch Who Stole Christmas."
11:58 - 12:29 Holy crap I've watched it 3 times and I can't stop laughing.
Mighty Jack, The story of a brave pancake HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
Ah, Tet...My favorite holiday
The opening sketch was better acted than the entire movie they riffed on.😂
The worst part is that there was nothing to riff on.
11:58 Same. Literally at the same time lol
"JUST GIVE US A SCRIPT, THAT MAKES NO FRIGGIN SENSE, WE'LL TRY SO HARD TO SLOW THE MAN DOWN"!!!!!!!!
This is of those episodes I've seen at least 20 times, I couldn't tell you a single characters name or summarize the plot.
I think there's some spy stuff but I don't know who is good or who is bad...
"Up there, the roof!" "Up yours, you goof!" 😂
"You've completely lost the cat thing, haven't you?"
"I admit it, I'm way off-script."
Never in the history of poison gas has it been used so ineffectively and wastefully.
the phantom menace: "let's fill the room with gas, wait 5 seconds, then open the door! surely they must be dead by now!"
Know what I miss most about this show? I mean besides the jokes, the loveable characters, the jokes and cleverness... Did I mention the jokes? Anyway, I love this show's catchy theme song!!

"Slow the plot down" is a fine rowing song.
Lol the period between the 50-54 minute section is easily one of the funniest riffing streaks I've ever watched.
All I know is the crew of the Bachus 3 would put Mighty Jack to shame. Ken would take out these Q cats all by himself.
+James Schuur You know what that would mean for the old man on the video screen, right?
He'd be stuck there!

Hi there! @Joseph Cosimano. You left me a reply mentioning about the Ford Thunderbird. I don’t even remember leaving a message or watching this video but I definitely will this video now because I really enjoy watching. MSK3k 314.
And the Ford Thunderbird are beautiful cars no matter what year they are especially the ones I think it’s still late 60s wear their drivers seat rotates.
Have a nice day Joseph.
A bunch of Japanese filmmakers predicted our problem with an "organization known as Q" over 30 years ago. I wish Joel. Trace. Mary Jo and Josh would get together and riff this one live. It could be really fun to add this decade's jokes to it.
That's how long the Deep State (Deep 13) has been conducting their disinformation campaign!
Funny they kept mentioning JFK too...
Maybe it's a CONSPIRACY
its a good thing posting these videos. thanks
1:14:09 ...Did they know yet that there would be a Casper movie, or was it just a coincidence? Josie and the Pussycats, though - THAT is irony.
ebmosier1 A lot of their jokes seem to come true, and gain new meaning over time...it's weird!
+ebmosier1 I imagine Stephen Spielberg announced early on what movies he was planning to do. Still freaky, though.
Not to mention that the Casper movie would have Spielberg's name attached to it!
S'times I just drift back to seeing these classic eps the first time. Very emotional! Love Joel in foam!
It's funny how they give Mr. Rogers a southern accent when he was from Pennsylvania.
I can't believe they missed Kenny Rogers at 58:17, when he was in The First Edition.
That's pretty cool that Isao Tomita did the music from this. Found him in the mid-70's from his electronic classical albums.
Best start ever!

We've replaced the Pacific Ocean with Folger's Crystals. Let's watch!
29:15 "Who is this Atari, anyway?"
Spark just fired in my brain in recognition of the distinctive, sonorous voice that might be familiar to fans of the English-dubbed Japanese TV series X-Bomber (known to the Western world as Star Fleet) as Peter Marinker, voice of Dr. Benn Robinson.
